This is truly helpful in understanding why things happen as NOTHING is out of God's knowledge or control - even though many times I lose sight of that. Can I explain the horrible and wicked things humans can do to other humans or animals? NO. Or why God allows those things? NO. But to focus on the cross and how Jesus suffered for ALL, certainly helps. Just as Mr. Piper said, maybe that tsunami happened so that just ONE life could be saved from eternal damnation, by explaining the gospel.
On John Piper's, a leading Calvinism, website it says this, “God brings about all things in accordance with his will in other words, it isn’t just that God manages to turn the evil aspects of our world to good for those who love him,it is rather that He himself brings about these evil aspects for his glory. This includes as incredible and unacceptable as it may currently seem, God having even brought about the Nazis brutality of Birkenau and Auschwitz, as well as the terrible killing byDennis Rader, and even the sexual abuse of a young child.”
Excellent message on God's sovereignty. Too bad you urged people to lose sight of that sovereignty when you tried to induce them to feel they were experiencing a deficit in Christian love if they didn't run to man's (evil statist) solution and surrender to man's and government's sovereignty and get the jab.

Greetings Mr. Piper, this message is sent in love. Paul told his audience that the coming of Christ would be in "their" lifetime. When Paul states "that the Lord will come with his angels", where is he getting this information from? What did Christ say? Matthew 16:27-28 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Paul knew it was right at the door. What vengeance is Paul talking about? You mention Deuteronomy 32 in this video. This is the song of Moses, about vengeance, judgment. Why is this song being sung in Revelation 15.........You mention James 4 in the video, in chapter 5 James tells the 12 tribes, to whom the letter was written to, that the Lord is coming. Christ has come, established the kingdom, fulfilled the law. At minute 27:25 you make the statement that God Almighty has a son, true. Then follows, he is God, untrue. God did not clothe himself with flesh, this is nowhere taught in the scripture, but a doctrine taught by men, of pagan origin. Back to James, what did James say about God being tempted with evil? Not possible. Was Jesus Christ tempted? Yes, in every way. God sent his son, not himself. If Jesus is God, who can't be tempted, then the gospel is a farce, a side show, laughable. John states in 1 John 4 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world. He reiterates this doctrine in 2 John 7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist. The testimony of God is that he has a son. The testimony of Christ is that he is the son of God. We have to believe their testimony, not mans. Again, this message is sent in love, your friend
"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." (Matthew 1:23 KJV)
@@SquadJuiced Greetings friend, using an "interpretation" of a name to substantiate an entity is not good exegesis. The same holds true for titles in the scripture. Some examples: Elijah is interpreted my God is Yahweh or Elisha is interpreted my God is salvation orJehu is interpreted Yahweh is he. We know none of these men were God, the Almighty. Jesus Christ was exalted to his place of authority. Phillipians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. His Father/God raised him from the dead, he did not raise himself. On the cross he committed his spirit to his Father. Also, Jesus Christ called men gods, referring to Psalm 82, in John 10 Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods?35 If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God? God put everything under the feet of Christ, except himself. 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,)6 But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. 1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. 1 Corinthians 15:27-28 For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.
