This song is an old song of Gary V. This was his own composition during the 80s. One of the songs that I kept on playing in our radio casette player (YES!!! that was still in Casette Tape, NO CD!!!). This song touches me and up to this day. He insight my favourite Bible verse - "Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understand. In all your ways, acknowledge Him and He will make straight your path" - Proverbs 3:5-6

Thank you for your reaction. Gary wasn’t a TH-cam regular as our son Gab has been because he is a live performer and a TV artist for a long time. You hit the nail on the head. It is his home studio and he arranges all his compositions (like this and Break Me) and some songs presented to him for recording. God bless you both. I subscribed! He did a good SPAIN rendition. It wasn’t wrote recently, actually it was he’s one of his oldest songs. The lyrics is like a prayer to god... most of his songs are inspirational and emotional.

This is his original song released in 1988 on his album Moving Thoughts. The re-production on this song and the lyrics are really moving.
His mother died last 2019 with H1N1 in U.S. I also remember, that song is more than 30 yrs old. I first heard it when i was very young and that influences me to join our local church kids choir. He also wrote "Letting go, could you be messiah and tagalog songs like Natutulog ba ang Diyos(Is God sleeping) and Gaya ng Dati (As usual)".
Gaya ng Dati should be translated as "Just Like Before" because it was how the song described the lyrics.

That song is meant for people like us who had forgotten God when the climate was normal to strengthen their fate during this darkest hours! Its is very offensive to christian believers to hear people comparing this song offer to Disney and not listening to the song’s overall message and just listen to the quality! Yes, people commented below that this was released in the 1980's. Gary is also a perfectionist. I heard he would stay in his studio the whole day and night, so I'm not surprised that this is a nice production. This is a new version he did.

This is one of the absolute tear-jerker song in the Philippines. I think he's emotional singing this because one of his friends( a known actor) is one of the COVID19 positive patients right now. Aside from that, Gary V. may also be worried for himself since he has been diabetic since he was a kid, almost died a couple of times before and now he is at a high risk of getting fatal complications if infected . That's why he has always tried to serve God in many, specìally through his music.

I remember back in 1996 when Gary was diagnosed with Cancer, I found a comment which I remember it this way, copy pasted comment
Mr.Garry V. is a a cancer survivor and every songs that he sings comes in his heart and with all his experiences. When I was diagnosed with cancer Leaukemia stage 4 and the doctors told me that I have only 3 months to live, my world turn downs and then I hear this song I have gain strength and fight the cancer. I trust him and give everything to him, then I was cured and finish my college with high honors inspite of going to school with my dextrose while having my exams. Then years past the doctors told me that i can not bear a child anymore the chance is through IVF only 40 % but I believe God is with me now then I went to in IVF and it was succesful. I have a beautiful daughter now she is 5. i am now here in UAE for her future hoping that I could go home soon to spend my life with her. I am really missing her so much and having a hard time in this country and feels I was in the dark again. God is Good just lean to him and I offer everything to Him. Amen....

Hi guys! This is a song written and recorded by gary in the 80s. Was commercially released with a more upbeat tune. This is a softer powerful, highly emotional rendition of gary. He is diabetic early in life, recently diagnosed with kidney cancer and has to undergo heart bypass operation. He is healed now by the grace of God! Thus explains why he is highly emotional on this rendition. And why he sings like he is personally communicating with God. A way of praising and thanking God for him surviving all the challenges. Very timely for us all to reflect at our own lives at this very precarious time.
