this whole interview is just straight up real, honest and no BS given. Gwen is very courageous to have shared her experience truthfully. Pointers why I felt that way: 1) she spoke about how she was afraid of her schoolmates judging her if she went to school with a baby bump. instead of the hypocrites saying stuff like "oh i dont care, you know people can judge me for all they want" blah blah blah... 2) she cried when she found out she was pregnant as she was afraid of many things, one of them not being able to graduate from school. tho she did not mention, but i thought it was worthwhile to mention that if you got pregnant at quite a young age (perhaps
Hey Gwen, though you might not read this but... Just want to say, you're a strong and brave person for keeping the baby and at the same time finishing your degree. Even more so, for sharing with the world your experience of what you've went through :) Hope to see you back in more TSL videos and all the best to you and your new family! :)
Aww that's why she hasn't appeared in videos for so long!! She looks really good now and happy with where she's at, thank you for sharing with us your story Gwen :)
Thanks Gwen for sharing such an emotional personal story!! It’s very brave and tough for you to have gone through this and made the decisions you did, having to consider so many factors. Don’t ever blame yourself from having to hide from your parents or others because it was such a big decision in your life during difficult times!! It’s never easy to talk about unplanned pregnancies since it leads to a lot of societal judgment and many sudden future decisions have to be made and having to learn looking after the baby. I hope that you stay healthy and happy and proud of your journey, and that Jayden will grow up to be strong and caring just like her mother :) Thanks Zula for uploading content like this!! It’s inspirational and very moving :,)
Thinking the reason for societal judgement is because it is associated (too simplistically?) with voluntary behaviour like intercourse? (excluding, say, sexual assault victims) So people then think that one lacks the discipline for delayed gratification i.e. waiting to marry 1st before intercourse
Appreciate Gwen for being so upfront with her sharing, wishing you and your family well and healthy! Next up is it possible to interview Xenia? Her motivation to work on her dreams is inspiring.
Faint line is already positive. It just means the hcg is still low. There should only be 1 line at the control for really negative cases.dont be mistaken by faint lines thinking theres something wrong with the kit or if theres a doubt about the pregnancy. The gynae is very objective, which is good to help the patient make decision.
really great start to a new series on Zula, I wonder what kind of story/topic can beat this first episode Leah.. You guys had the benchmark for the first episode so high!! haha just because this episode is so touching and really inspirational to other couples out there. Also thanks Gwen for being so brave to share your story to everyone and I'm sure its no mean feat. I pray for Jayden and your family to be the best of health and God Bless!
I think this is so great of Gwen to be able to share her story including all the ups and downs she went through during her pregnancy, like honestly not a lot of people would be able to do so. HOWEVER, I would like to just reiterate that her own opinion of not liking the idea of abortion is that it is literally her OWN opinion. Everyone can have their own opinions and so if anyone ever decides to go through with an abortion I hope everyone can respect that decision as we never know what that person is going through at the time. 💖
A new family member has been added and everyone is overloaded with happiness. Little Jayden help to warm your heart and bring a joy and happiness into your life. Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears. In life is our true friend and happy moments. Count your blessing not your troubles. With Faith all things are possible.
Keeping the baby is so rewarding. She did the right thing! And they got married too! Best setup to give Jayden what he needs. I hope more young moms will see this and be encouraged that life only gets better! I hope friends will see this and know that their support and companionship can make all the difference. I hooe moms and dads will see this and know thay their unconditional support and love can make the difference between lIfe and death. Congratulations! I am SOOO happy for you!
Brave girl gwen for enduring the tough emotional journey in her life. Hope zula can feature such inspiring ppl like gwen who overcame the odds in life.gd job zula!😀
You did the right thing Gwen! Look at Jayden now, aren't you so very glad that you kept him? Many people say a mummy's love is unconditional. In reality, our child's love for us is the unconditional one. My baby no. 3 was also born in May and I also named him Jaedon. I was tested to be high risk of an abnormal baby but he came out normal, the most beautiful of my 3, the most loving and most vivacious. I am sure your baby Jayden will bring you lots of joy and love and indescribable happiness! Blessings and love to you, hubby and baby Jayden!
Gwen u r so strong! All the emotional turmoil and frustrations at the start, no girl should have to go through it silently. I'm glad you eventually opened up to your loved ones and got the support you needed
Thank you Zula and Gwen for giving us an insight on unplanned pregnancy and abortion, things that people do think it is a taboo to talk about it. Wish everyone all the best!
i think young mothers are really so brave and for you to speak up about this topic that is so taboo in Singapore takes a lot of bravery. thank you for sharing your story you're really so brave
Let me see … getting married, staying single, staying married, religion, work, the car you drive, your job, the clothes you wear and everything else - someone will always have an opinion. We just need to learn to ignore comments that do not empower us. I am sure you’re a great Mommie. Jayden is beautiful and adorable too. Wishing you and your family happiness ❤️⭐️
Thank you for sharing your story! I felt every single moment of this video, you're super brave and strong to have stuck through! Wishing you the best in your future endeavors!
Meanwhile 1 of my uni's hostel neighbours gave birth a year younger than her (but I'm also thinking how much difference it makes that she had graduated a year before that)
Actually, giving birth at 20s is a blessing in my opinion, coz you get to enjoy longer time with your children and even till your great grandchildren time...such a blessing!
Omgshhhh I’m so thankful for this story and can relate to some point, I’m so grateful that you keep it and good job thank U so much for this amazing story bless you!!!!!!!
Thanks to ZULA and Glen for this story. Very brave of Gwen. I would disagree with the presenter at 21:34 though. There is importance of a girl deciding to become a mother but there is also importance of having the father and the family unit. in Gwen's case its a happy ending as her husband is responsible but the reality of many unprepared pregnancies is the father (and sometimes the mother) walks away.
Honestly this ep rlly made me learn more things about abortion than our conservative society could offer. I rlly loved how gwen was comfortable telling such personal details knowing some ppl would flame her initial choice in the comments. Kudos to u and ur baby
Brave and young mom, kudos for keeping the child. Please cherish this Gift from God, the definition of 'Love' will be more apparent with a child in the family :)
Don’t bother with other’s opinion, unless is your immediate family. As long as you and your hubby and baby are happy, is all that matters. You made the right decision! Wish you and your new family well 👍🏼
so um i was just scrolling through youtube and knew absolutely nothing about this channel/video and my initial thought looking at the thumbnail was that this is a lesbian couple with a baby
Hi Gwen, I do not know you (or even heard of you before). But, as a father of 2 young kids, I want to say that parenthood is probably one of the best experience that life has to offer. There are many moments of ups and downs, joys and frustrations, even with your spouse. However, there is nothing in the world I love more than my wife and kids. I also want to applaud you for choosing to do the right thing in the face of uncertainty and fear; I think that is what courage is. Not many people can say that they would have the courage to do what you did. P.s. your baby is very cute.
Hi, yea I would judge at first (inwardly didn't express it by posting), but your story changed my perception of shotgun marriage - not advisable still. But thank you for sharing your story, you are really courageous. Wishing you all the best God bless!
Glad she gave birth to her baby, kids to her for being so honest in sharing! But on a more serious note, I think there should be education about avoiding unplanned pregnancies to the younger kids out there and not to give away your virginity before marriage or in a non-serious relationship? There seems to be quite a few shotgun marriages and it is worrying to know that young kids nowadays just treat sex, marriage, love and kids as something that is not serious.
I just feel that to me, if you are going to have sex, you should have known that pregnancy is a possible consequence. And if you want to enjoy the pleasure it brings, you have to also bear the responsibility if theres a baby. I hate people that just wants to enjoy but do not want to bear the responsibility of their decision. So i am happy that Gwen decided to be responsible for her actions and be a parent. Kudos to her!
Usually for Singapore, only Ah Lians get married and become moms in early 20s. For this woman, I think her issue was not her age but because she wasn’t married.
To Gwen, just want to let u know I know how u feel. I also had an unplanned pregnancy and was crying a lot. Although Im a lot older than you I think the feelings we went thru were similar. And ps. Ur baby has the same bday as me ☺
What is there to abort when she was aldy married? Unless she is going to be single mum which is very tough but there are many brave mummies out there too
She wasn't married at first she decide to marry bcs of tax rebates and the benefits that comes with being married. Singapore law doesn't encourage single motherhood

Leah is wonderful host - calming, unassuming, and assuring to her guests, especially for such a difficult topic. Kudos
I can’t believe she is putting this on the internet... damn girl mad respects

The husband is lowkey a hero too
Yea mad respect for him
Normally u will hear stories like the guy run away.. at least in this case he was here throughout the journey.
He has to be a hero, his pull out wasn't gamestrong 😂
@@jonet001 good on him but I guess the fact that being around counts as being a hero reflects badly on our society 😅
@@thespacejedi yes. especially when men give up all rights on the decision to abort or not. and still have to assume responsibility.
It takes courage to share this kind of thing. Props to you Gwen!
love this new segment ❤️
thankful that Gwen kept the baby 😭
he's so cute now😍
Everyone is a hero in this story...
Gwen,the husband,the doctor,the parents... beautiful~~

i was literally just thinking of giving this idea to leah through dm and i saw this today. this is so unreal its as if leah can read my mind...
Thank you for sharing your story and experience!!
May baby Jayden grow healthily!

The husband is very mature and responsible. Subjected to this kind of stress, most guys would just walk out.

Off topic but every damn kid born after 2014 is called Jayden wtf
and kaden/caden/caeden/cayden/caedon/kayden/kaeden wtf lol
one class i can get a couple of cayden (sounding names) and jayden (sound names)
Ayden
Maybe names like these have a certain charm?
My friend named her son jayden too bt her family liked aiden more lol so they named aiden
Laden/Maiden
You are so brave! Thank you for sharing :)

Hello, I am Carinne from Singapore, I always enjoy watching your videos, Gwen looks so gorgeous. 😊 I feel inspired by your videos.
Sooo proud of you!! Motherhood is worth it! Awesome Gwen and wonderful Jayden
Faint line = pregnant (early pregnancy) the risky stage
Darker line is when it's safer although there's still risks
It also depends on when you use the test kit. The line is more apparent when you use it during your first pee of the day
Jayden be like " Surprise! Mother Father"
Congrats on baby!
Look at how she managed to maintain such a good figure after giving birth!!
Ikr….
This is so cute.. Gwen did the right thing.. Such a cute cute boy.. 😊😊😊
I appreciate the realness in this video

Giving birth and being a mother is a powerful instinct for a woman
Glad she gave birth to her baby, kids to her for being so honest in sharing!

Congratulation Gwen n family ❤️
she has great parents
I was born on 22 May 2006- Oh my God, I have the same birthday as Jayden
Same ! 🤣

Isn’t 25 normal, I used to have a classmate who gave birth at 18 and is a single mom, needless to say she was very brave too

So happy for her.

Her age is ok what, not a immature teenager anymore. I’m 25 and trying to have a baby! Hehe
Just Curious, so gwen didn't get the baby bonus ah?
im curious too.. 😃
