They always sing live honey. ALWAYS. The lyric video had this live performance on it because the studio version wasn't out yet. It's out now if you want to check it out. It's gorgeous. Jin is always the absolute hero of their Japanese songs. I don't know why, but his voice is always so beautiful when he sings in Japanese.

This song is about someone who falls in love with a blind person and helps guide the way for them and they light up their world it was supposed to be for jungkooks solo mixtape but it was chosen for an ost jungkook did a great job writing and producing this song

This song was supposed to be a part of jk's mixtape but it ended up being an OST for a Japanese movie ' You Eyes Tell' .
You can tell it’s live because the high notes throughout the studio version are all in their falsetto which is usually breathy and light. In the live version Jimin and jungkook are using their mix voice which is a lot stronger and more powerful sounding than their falsetto. V and Jin use their falsetto for the first time they sing the chorus and then Jin switches to his mix voice towards the end of the song while v stays in his falsetto through out the whole song (due to him being a baritone). I prefer the live version better because with them singing with their mixed voice, it sounds more impactful and emotional. you can also tell it’s live because you can hear the breathing and the plosive consonants. You can also hear the vocal crys from Jimin. These are all in the live version but not in the studio version.
Also, yes this is the live version, it's just the lyric video used the audio from the live because the studio version wasn't out yet when they made the lyric translated video

Yes its live. Kookie wrote the song for his mixtape but they used it for the OST of the japanese movie your eyes tell instead. The movie is a remake of the korean movie Always back in 2011. Btw i Cried my entire heart out for this movie. ☺️

Not only do they steal their translations, but they are also stealing from BTS!!! This song really sinks into me. The emotions I feel are all over the place. I feel like I am slowly flying - sad and longing but weirdly hopeful??? The instrumentation is so haunting but uplifting? I feel like I float between wanting to burst into tears and close my eyes and smile.
Like you and many other people I have watched react to this song - there are actually parts where you scrunch your face up and almost want to turn away. I don't know if any song has ever made me do that.

Yes, it's really live 😂 You can hear Jin's breath when he sings. That's usually how I tell during most of their live performances 💜
Also, Jimin's vocal cry and (intentional) voice cracks are much more evident live, and there are audible backup vocals.

This IS live you can hear their breathing through their mics, the fact that they pulled off these live vocals, I'm impressed, I'm so soo impressed I even think they sound better live than in the recording, you weren't listening to the studio version either, you were listening to the live performance with the lyrics and didn't even notice, that's how good they are LMAO

Yes, the performance was live. They’ve been doing a lot of live concerts so Armys could still watch in quarantine. They actually took parts of the live performance and put it in the studio version.

the thing is that simply singing is not a big deal for BTS, its just when they have to dance together as well they can in some rare cases sound a just a tiny bit not at their best. This is exactly why i respect idols like BTS and Exo, Mamamoo, Red velvet, Dreamcatcher, Suju, Gfriend and lots of others more than western artists or just artists who don't have to dance. They can have some weaknesses but thats only when they have to move simultaneously . As pure singers these idols can out sing any singer

The lyric video that you watched was the audio of the live performance lol. The official audio hasn't been released yet. This was a pre-release live performance. So yeah it was live they literally CD's i guess.

This song was originally made to be in Jungkook's mixtape, but the director of the film, Your eyes Tell, heard it and because it was too good, BECAUSE IT WAS TOO GOOD, he asked it to be used as the OST for that movie🤧💜
What amaze me is that Jungkook wrote the lyrics just looking to some clips from the movie and the script.
The audio they used for the lyric video you just watched was from that second live video you watched since the studio wasnt released that time. It is now tho, istg the studio sounds so gooood
BTS sent in several demo tapes but sent in another one right before the recording started, which was in a whole another musical direction - bang pd said “it’s a song that Jungkook created after reading the movie script and watching the (unfinished) footage”
The lyrics had incorporated “watching over you (in protection)”, which was a keyword in the movie, and the shining melody along with the relaxed vocals matched well with the actual movie so director Miki decided to play the song in the movie and not just at the end.
it was already decided that bts were gonna do the theme song for the movie before the demo tracks were sent so it wasn’t like the director deciding to use bts for the theme song BC of their demo tracks

I love thisn song and I knew you would too! About if this is live... So, first, this is a performance they did for promoting their Japanese version of Map Of The Soul 7, which has some songs that are not in the Korean version. Also, in Korea there's a thing they do which is called pre-recording, when they do the performance multiple times and then release it. They can pre-record the vocals live first and then film them singing over this live version, get it? So it's not the studio version, but they're not singing fully there. Or it could be live with MR track or simply 100% live. I don't know. It this was broadcasted live, probably was with pre-recorded vocals. Specially when they dance, they use MR and/or pre-recording. Also: I think that tree is in the same logi/metaphor of Spring Day and Stay Gold. Represents spring, the moment when everything is going to be ok, and Your Eyes Tell can easily relate to us who are living the darkness of the corona virus situation, being trapped, but still that tree grows!!

Ahhh I’m so happy you reacted to this song! They all sound and look amazing, and their live vocals are just mind blowing, to the point that I cried when I heard it for the first time. Vocal line killed those high notes too! P.S. thank you for mentioning Jin’s vocals! I notice that a lot of reactors tend to gloss over him and just fixate on his goofiness but he is an amazing vocalist (as I think is portrayed perfectly in this performance haha) and also one of the sweetest humans on the planet :)))
