Holy cow! 13 Total Bases for Joc. 4 for 6, 8 RBI and scored 3 runs. A career performance.
I don't know what Barry told Joc or if he adjusted his swing somehow, but whatever it was it worked! He has continued to be a hot hitter ever since that game against the Mets! Today (5/31) Joc hit another HR in extra innings to beat the Phillies.

As a Mets fan, a truly heartbreaking ending, but what an amazing game. Games like these are why baseball is such a perfect sport; even if your team doesn’t always take the “W.”

@@rhettblair6186 Of course, because they faced the Dodgers. The two best teams in the MLB last year, and they beat each other bloody in the NLDS. The Dodgers sacrificed all their incredible starters by burning them on short rest in the NLDS so when they got to the NLCS vs the Braves, they had nothing left in the tank. They were exhausting Scherzer in game 5 of the NLDS like it was game 7 of the WS as if he wouldn't have to pitch again till the next season. Well the Dodgers won the NLDS, but it came with a pretty high cost.
I was at this game, as a Mets fan, and wasn’t even upset that they lost this one.
This was a hard fought game the last 6 outs and both teams deserve to be praised for the way this one turned out. Just an amazing finish.

When ONE guy as 7 RBI on the night, and is up in the 9th with 2 outs and a base open, and you are winning by one run. WALK him!!!

That pitch was just bad too.
That puts the winning run in scoring position, as opposed to just the tying run. This is an entirely new pitcher so just because he’s hit well earlier doesn’t mean the decision was wrong.
@@MoeZiilla 1:53 they should have walked him and the pitch was bad. 3:51 you have a point but that he was playing so well it was safer to walk him anyway. The Mets only needed 1 out and this pitch was also bad.

Crazy game lol Guessing the Giant's BP isn't the best but Mets also got hit too. Definitely one of the highest scoring games of the year. I also always wondered how deep that water is in the bay if someone falls out of those canoes lol

The Giants' bullpen is actually one of the best. All those hits were weak grounders, just an unlucky night for Rogers.
As a Giants fan, this already feels like a completely different season 😭😭😭

Some games I’ll just never forget watching. This was a thriller even though my team lost… I just landed from Denver CO and was listening to this game on my drive home from the airport and got to watch it at home. Crazy memory of this game!

One of the best games of this year, up until this point in the season. Unbelievable efforts by both teams to hang in there and not give up. Congratulations to the giants for squeezing a win out of it.
I was at this game and it was electric. Joc's performance that night was the stuff of legends.
Kudos to the players who didn't give up. Playing crazy games like this will give players a sense of stamina and a winning mentality. I'm sure the fans really enjoyed it too!!! 😍👍👍👏👏👏💕
Best game of the year and the San Francisco vs Milwaukee walk off grand slam. Crawford man is so clutch I swear always in the toughest spots so beast:)
I had big money on the Giants and was feeling pretty good but when the Mets scored 7 in the 8th inning my heart sanked. Luckily they pulled back and we both won.

Baseball is a boring game when nothing is happening. But when something this intense is going on. You know that baseball is one of the most enjoyable sports to watch.
I read that Pederson talked to Bonds before the game...must have given some excellent pointers!

Watched most of this game on TV. While I thought we (Giants) were safe, I headed to the shower when we were up. Getting into the shower, we were down in the 8th (big time), then when I dried off in the 9th, we won. My shower may be my new ritual for us to win games! LOL
