I wish I can draw like this. I've been struggling on what brush I should use and how do I color. I always seek perfection that's why I haven't finished any single work that I can be proud of. If any one have an advise for me please comment it below. BTW nice art and color. This is the style I wish to do
try to not give up, you can trace and copy other styles (of course you will not post them in public media, it´s just a practice) after a while you'll develop your own style- i know how frustrating it is your situation, but understand that it's part of the process
I agree with the other comment :) But I can relate to you because Im often in the same position.. what I can tell you is that you'll definitely develop your own style over the time. I wanted a style thats very plain and simple and mostly flat colors but ended up with a style kinda similar to this with a lot of detail and desaturated colors .. As I said my style now is something completely different then what I wanted a year ago.. I'd say you shouldn’t press yourself into an art-style Go with he flow and you’ll automatically pick up things you like here and there also don’t pressure yourself into having a unique style Master anatomy, shape language, gesture drawing and already within studying those you’ll ( want to ) customize different parts of the body or face maybe even more specific like shapes that repeat here and there ( hair, eyes, body maybe even nose ) Since I have a similar style I'd tell you to go for a rectangular flat brush I don’t know if there are any in IbisPaint but as a painting software I’d recommend Kita ( not sure if this is on mobile since its kinda like photoshop ) or iArtbook ( definitely on mobile ) I don’t have anything against IbisPaint but in those two softwares just mentioned you have all brushes for free and the option to use a reference :)) Good luck on your art journey!
dude....it's so wrong to try to reach perfection!it's just a waste of energy and time because you can never reach it. just work with what you've got,it's true that bruches make the work easier but you can also work with the simplest bruches if you know how you use them! and finaly,watch your favorite artists draw and analyse their paintings and try to imitate their style,or mix more than one art-style together of your liking and also.....PRACTISE EVERYDAY!!!
You dont really need any fancy brush when you start to get how to draw sometimes all you'll need is the simple round brush and maybe to change opacity and what not
And try with simple things and practice with refrence art. For me I find that the grid method works wonderfully for refrence art. Its where you draw a grid or paste a grid over both the refrence image and drawing side and go square by square in copying it over. This doesn't feel as cheaty as just tracing over but it isn't as hard as just drawing the exact image. Its perfect for any level of artist to practice.
Your artstyle is amazing!! I use ibispaint before too but i stop digital art cuz my cellphone is malfunctioning😂, i still have the app tho and i want to draw something again after i watched your video
