Jeff Lynn is the lead singer and song writer for ELO, the Electric Light Orchestra. Also along with Tom Petty, George Harrison, Bob Dylan and Roy Orbison he was a member of the British/American super group, the Traveling Wilburys.
Loved them. Formed by George Harrison, their music is brilliant so are the lyrics. ❤😊❤

Absolutely agree that there should be a statue for Noddy, the creator of the greatest Xmas song ever, and that Black Sabbath bridge, wow friggin awesome! But how could you not know who Jeff Lynne is? He's from the same era as Noddy, Jeff Lynnes Electric Light Orchestra were brilliant. Real music.

The statue of 2 women and kids are 2 single parent sisters. They were chosen from hundreds of families that put themselves forward.
It's fair to say this area of Birmingham at least shatters a lot of the stereotypes. It must be brilliant of an evening when everyone is out enjoying themselves.

Loved your video and conversation, do not agree with Birmingham being 10 times better than Manchester .. Birmingham is a bit spread out city like North American … Manchester is a typical Victorian city with narrow roads and is compact .. Manchester is the better and vibrant in my opinion.

My takeaway on Birmingham is how do the businesses survive? Tons of restaurants and shops yet no people to support it all.

Even though I'm not a fan like most cities if you are into architecture it is heaven with old, modern and 1960s concrete structures. The Symphony Hall has a massive pipe organ which I think is the largest in Birmingham.

Did you go up to the top of the library? Old small bit of the library that was saved in a fire. Views of the city. One floor down from that is a secret garden area amazing views.

That’s the council house with the town hall next to it with the pillars. It’s all had massive rebuilding and development in last few years, still being completed. The new library looks like the hat box! It’s a shame it has restricted opening as the council can’t afford to run it. Circular inside, go up in the lift there is a garden on the roof, great views over the city. Birmingham has more canals than Venice! You could visit the Jewellry quarter if you had time, loads to do here! Bull ring if you need the shops ! lol loads of loos in there too xx

You will find that the accent that you are looking for is spoken in the Black Country which is Wolverhampton and Wasall not in the centre of Birmingham but you should go see the Bull Ring

Where those barges are, I believe apartments sell for over a million pound’s, and that was way back, you are right, that part of Birmingham is very chic from what I remember. As for loo’s I believe there are lots, in Bullring, where all the shops are. I’m with you on the modern family statue Dan.

I would be similarly annoyed at the sight of such a statue as it seems to promote irregular family division and perhaps a thing of "dads don't matter" or something along them lines, Also if i remember right this city recently declared itself bankrupt, So maybe a few too many woke rainbow projects was not such a great idea.
