The snippet came out beautiful. When I have little bits if fabric that are wrinkled, I use an old flat iron that i no longer use on my hair. It's quicker and easier than dragging out an iron and works great in tiny pieces.

Oh I'm so glad I chose this to watch. I would have started out using way too much glue. Thank you I already have an idea for some of my grandmothers things to put in a shadowbox frame with her wooden thread spools.

I was really enjoying watching you create this snippet roll. I would like to ask you to not put "Thanks for watching" until the end of the video. The words were a distraction because they were in the way of the viewer being able to watch you as you worked. The snippet turned out beautifully! Nice job!

Hi Kathy, thanks for stopping by my channel. There are a few crafters down your way, I mostly do paper crafts mostly junk journals. Finding others with the same interests nearby can be difficult. 💕
Love your snippet roll! I think you did a great job at the videoing thing! Camera close so I could see everything really well, good angle, you stayed in frame all the time and I could hear you fine =) Also really like that you got to the doing part without too much fussing and puffing first! I’ve heard that sewing over glue will really gum up your sewing machine! I think I’ll stick to handwork!

You can get sari silk in a few places in nz. I get mine at cosi fan tutte. Its in the tannery on garlands Rd, chch.

I ran on to your video not having ever heard of a snippet roll but was immediately intrigued. Lots of ideas now forming in my mind. I don’t make junk journals or paper crafts but do sew, quilt and collect old textiles and trims so I’m definitely going to see what I can come up with to get some beautiful bits out of boxes and enjoy them. You made a great video- thanks!

lovely! we are getting ready to retire and at the moment only live in a very small bedsit room, but I have like 40 teachest size boxes packed to go into storage and it is mostly craft stuff, however it is so hard to throw out all my scraps so was happy to come across this craft along and have started to use some scraps thanks for the inspo, albeit Im a bit slow at at...hahaha but I might manage to save a few of my scraps.
I would find it quite difficult packing away all my craft stuff. I hope that you get to use all your bitty bits and make something. Thanks for watching xx
I googled snippet roll and came up with some wonderful videos, yours included! I love your snippet roll, it is so gorgeous! And I love your wavy lines, I think it gives it a little extra flare! Hi there. Ive never seen any of your videos prior, but happy that I caught this one. Snippets are such fun to create and great for using up a lot of our goodies! Kate, I also love listening to your vivacious voice, it's beautiful.
My only complaint was at about 24 minutes in, there was a banner across the whole screen saying 'Thanks for Watching'! But I couldn't see what you were doing underneath this banner. I hope next time you just post that at the ending. It just cut out too much of your creating in the vid. Thank you Kate!

Hello from Whangārei. Great inspiration. I am about to make my first snippet roll but I am going to sew it on a denim jacket so I can't use paper products. Fortunately I save everything lol so I have lots of pieces of old lace. You did a good job. 😊

Hi there. I have a video called What to do with the snippet roll you could check out. But sometimes, if you put your favourite things on it, it becomes too precious to cut up and use so it looks nice rolled up sitting on a shelf looking gorgeous 😄. Thanks for watching
