I apologize for the occasional fogginess/blurriness of the camera. I don't know if I had something set strangely or if it's humidity. I didn't realize it until the video had already been posted.
It is. For me, it's a normal walk as we have no cars here. Most of our getting around is very similar to this. The little pueblo has a cobblestone street about three "blocks" long, but otherwise, it's all paths. It's a beautiful place to live.
Oh lovely. I have seven dogs, but Samantha is the one who goes with me everywhere. Poppy is a great name for a dog. Thank you for the comments and well wishes. Take care.
Thank you, Susan. It's a stunning place to wake up to everyday. If you'd told me ten years ago I'd be tromping through a jungle barefoot, I would have thought you were crazy 😄. Now I'm accustomed to it. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Have a wonderful day!
Thank you Mandy. I have seven dogs, but Sam is the one who goes with me everywhere. Occasionally I'll have two, but since I was going to hunt, it was just Sam on that day. It is a stunning place, and I'm grateful to live here. Thanks so much for watching and commenting.
Hi Martin. We do! The birds are amazing! Parrots (both military and macaws), mot mots, elegant trogans, magpie jays, caciques, tons of chachalacas, orioles, various hummingbirds, woodpeckers....I can go on and on. Tons of iguanas. Tons of different butterflies and dragonflies. And the sea life is amazing too. The abundant nature is my favorite thing about living here. It's extraordinary! I'm sorry my camera lens was doing something weird, but I'm sure there will be other bits of the area in future videos, as well. Seems people like seeing more of the scenery than just a shot of the beach where I'm digging. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.
@ such diverse wildlife, I see you mentioned hummingbirds one of my favourites birds, it was always a dream to see one and managed to see three when on holiday in the Dominican Republic a few years ago 😍
@@martinjervis1558 Oh lovely! I'm glad you got to enjoy them. The Vallarta Botanical Garden has a charming restaurant with tiny feeders all along the balcony rail by the tables. The hummingbirds will feed from your hands. This two-minute video shows it: th-cam.com/video/uceCiO_KLks/w-d-xo.html The bird just past one minute with the blue back is a San Blas jay. They're common too.
Hi Anna. I love seeing places I've never seen before. What a beautiful place to live your life. A applaud you 👋. Your dog is adorable. Super enjoyed your video thanks. Gregg aka AuDiver79. I will try to give you as many hours as I can. Ever if I let the same video run over and over.👍
Hi Gregg. Thank you so much for your kind words! It is a stunning place. I never take it for granted. Sam is the best! She goes with me everywhere. Thank you for your offer to help with watch hours. Once is plenty. TH-cam doesn't recognize multiple views, so no need to do anything extra. Besides, it's my responsibility to put out good content that people want to watch. I appreciate your support, kindness, and encouragement. Have a great evening, and I'll probably catch you tomorrow in the live. Take care.
Well thank for letting me know about multiple video watch hours. Did not know that. You are putting out awesome content. THANK you. Love tropical places. It warms my soul just to see the sun, sand and surf . And a bonus when someone is detecting in it. It freezing here in Michigan.i so want to be somewhere else but my wife works here. And I am retired.
Cant wait till you find your first ring or necklace. It bring me joy seeing how much metal detecting is bringing so much joy and fun into your life. And once you find Gold ! Youll know that feeling. LOL ! The hiking adventure looks fun. Im sure gunna have to go visit one day.
Such a beautiful video, love the different flawra then what I’m used to hear in Australia, such a beautiful dog you have, i noticed she’d stop and look back to check up on you before she moved on 😂. Thank you for sharing your adventure 👍

@ i thought you said good girl at one point, So sorry, I love dogs I have a American Staffordshire terrier, otherwise known as Amstaff , I’ve got a photo of her on my community page.
Thanks, Bill. It's a gorgeous spot. I have my house for 5 more years. At that point, I'll have to decide if I still want to be traipsing through the jungle or if it's time to move closer to the pueblo. I'm hoping I'll still be living the more feral life. 😄
I live in Perkinston, Mississippi we have fresh water beach by the river I live 30miles from gulfcoast that were I originally from.we have parks fields 😊
Oh nice! A lot of history. So you can hunt in all kinds of different terrain. That's great. I think my Mom's family was from Meridian, Mississippi. Mid-1800s or earlier to early-mid 1900s.
Happy New Year ;>) That was cool to see the entire trail - We have similar ones in the Sierras but with far fewer plants to catch you if you go over the edge. Was surprised to learn about the barefoot advantages, but I can see your point with water and shoes and slippery issues... Hope you had a good hunt!
Thank you for watching and commenting. I'll have the hunt posted soon. I never thought I'd be tromping around a jungle in the tropics barefoot, but now, I wouldn't trade it. I've just subscribed to your channel and look forward to your metal detecting adventures.
@@MetalDetectingMermaid - LOL - Thanks for the sub - I did a lot of videos years past before I retired from the rocket business. I had a back injury that took me out for the past few years and am now getting back into things. Just got a Minelab Manticore and will be testing that machine - First video will be an unboxing and a quick intro to my background in detecting ;>) No barefoot for this guy in the Sierras but hey... If I even get into Mexico, I'll give it a whirl - lol.
@@Afterburner I'm glad you're on the mend. A Manticore is wonderful! I'm saving for a high-end detector. Haha -- you never know. Mexico isn't that far.
@@MetalDetectingMermaid - Learning a machine in depth and sticking with it is a good thing - You'll learn to exploit every bit of power and capability of your Xterra. I am a bit intimidated with the power of the newer detectors - I came off using a Minelab Explorer SE Pro that is my old reliable, but I'm flexing with the times and have the Vanquish 540, a Equinox 600, and now the Manticore. They are all good detectors but SO different from my old machines - I'm in the same boat as you, learning things as if I was starting over ;>) Yes about on the mend - Been a long time recovering and I did my first hunt 3 days ago - Lasted 45 minutes but it felt SO good to be out hunting again!
@@Afterburner Congratulations on your first hunt! It must have felt wonderful! I'm glad you're over the hump in your recovery and can regain more strength and function.
