I enjoy the videos greatly. It's always good to see what other companies are doing versus what you are doing-what works, what doesn't. Never stop learning and getting better. Thanks Stan
these videos help because of pure motivation of helping and not bragging about how much you make and that makes anybody who watches this video some sort of relief and encouragement to get out and really put their all to succeeding thanks for the videos you provide wish you luck
thanks Stan, I went to college and paid for it myself, sold my first vehicle I ever owned and worked 40 hrs Monday-friday and 12 hrs Saturday and 12 hrs sunday, it was hard but anything is possible when it is something you want to do
I am in the army and will say the reason i enjoy watching is because, I plan on making it a career. Although have to wait till my contract is up to start doing it so the best thing I can do is learn as much as I can before I get there. Not including you, are very informative. Thank you
your videos show myself and others I can do it and how, How to bid jobs and the money amount is what really helps as well & not take small jobs that take you away from the big jobs . Love the videos and the way you show us the ins and outs of all the parts of a good business.
Thank you very much for posting these type of videos definitely help me out and I know help out many people who are on their track to be contractors close many gaps many doubts that we all may have. Thanks
@1:32 he's talking about how he's able to get contracts. Well I think you get them because you seem very humble. I'm not even two minutes into the video and all ready, you've encouraged me to not quit! My son is beginning a landscaping company and I choose to sacrifice my career to help him, I'm a nurse turned business finance student. So thank you for the encouragement!💯💜💯
Stanley, im hooked on your videos. Im really small company and just getting started, but i just want to thank you for doing these videos. I intend on doubleing down this next season and applying some of the strategies ive learned so far in your videos.
These videos are very helpful. They show the side of business that a lot of people neglect. Quality work is paramount, but first you have to get the job in order to demonstrate your abilities. You're genuinity is apparent. Keep it up. Just subbed.
I do lawn maintenance Monday thru Thursday and small hard scapes Friday and Saturday. It is so tough to go out after working all day and doing estimates. I am hoping to get off the job sites by next spring so I can line up work all week like you did today. This schedule is burning me out! Great video!
I have literally no experience with landscaping. only a lvl 2 diploma in engineering. I have an interview tomorrow for a landscaping apprenticeship, wish me luck! (I need this to get my car back!)
I started my lawn Care business 2 years ago and paid for school just mowing grass last year associate in business I'm getting into landscaping pretty soon I look at your vids for inspiration
Love this content Stan, appreciate you showing us the importance of how to go about closing the deal. Do you have any more videos on closing the deal, sizing up the customer, body language? Thank you Stan.
My plan is to go to a community collage, Hudson valley for two years then go to a landscaping school to learn retaining walls, hardscaping etc. maybe suny cobleskill, suny Delhi or paul smiths. Right now I am a junior in high school.
Happy 2018 to you sir and everyone that watches these videos. I forget about the immense amount of motivation and ideas That i know I am capable of procrastinating on.
Good video, Stan. Hope you get the big job. I notice that when I meet with people when I give an estimate I land the work. If I leave it in the door and email it to them, I usually don't hear from them. I wish it were possible to meet with every single lead but with everyone's busy schedule that doesn't seem feasible. When I ask "when is the best time to meet?" sometimes I get the "You're just cutting grass. Why do we have to meet? Can't you just stick a price on my door?" They must magically know that if they meet me in person, they are going to sign up for all of my services regardless of pricing. LOL
Saw your vid about the coyotes! You should invest in a Gammo Whisper air rifle or something similar. I had the same problem in rural Missouri. Put a couple of pellets in them and word spreads fast! Nice channel!👍
I try not to take my rusty rocket unless it's a referral, but driving a two thousand dollar winter beater makes me feel like I'm driving for free,,,funny you got one too...lol
I feel the main reason that the last guy felt comfortable with you was because you were recommended by the other company. Your confidence, vehicle and clothing definitely help in getting a job, but it's hard to beat word of mouth recommendations
I have tons of free information over at dirtmonkeyuniversity.com. Free webinars, free podcast and contracts and proposals. That should help you get started.
I went to college, what a waste of 4 years. If you got the drive you can make unlimited money in your own business. Everything you need to know is right here on you tube
Could you also reply with an easy way to bid a really small excavation job and then putting river rocks in the hole? I don't know how big it is going to be, but I just need like a formula or something.
He is telling the truth. They are plenty of people with a PhD that are homeless and broke, just like they’re plenty of high school dropouts who are millionaires. It’s the will that makes or breaks a person.
Wow . . . This is college level training! If I was teaching a class in landscape design I would want to use these videos. I have belonged to Toastmasters . . . my Toastmasters motto is "hate the work . . . love the skills"!

only 2 min in but +1 to paying for college yourself (or trying to). It sounds crazy but it will be much more worthwhile this way.
Do you need experience to apply at this type of jobs ?? I know the basics of landscaping since my dad is from Mexico???
Is that you on the hearing protection and goggle set that they sell at Costco???
You getting jobs makes us feel like it can be done. That's worth watching. Another thing, your not a joker, your all business.
Could you do a couple of sales call videos?
Could you also reply with an easy way to bid a really small excavation job and then putting river rocks in the hole? I don't know how big it is going to be, but I just need like a formula or something.

3' side walk seems kinda narrow
I want to get an MBA at business school. I'll pay for it, but I'll be in debt like hell.
Wait only 100 grand for 2-3 year project you said?
Can you please make a video of you smoking cigars and you drinking high end wine?
We are a dyeing breed Stan 🙏🏻.

+Chris Washington studying and doing it.
What did you study in college?

Do you thing lawn care/Landscaping is still a good business to get into even though there is a lot of competitors?
I'm in it, if that answers your question.
If you want to look more professional, I would suggest shaving. And wear good shoes. Shoes always tell a lot about a person. Make sure they are clean.
