I agree with your statement on the dieffenbachia and that's exactly why I bought it.. I like the challenge of growing it from that state.. it's a bigger satisfaction for me when I'm able to get it to get bigger and healthier than how I got it. I mentioned in the video that although it's beautiful and I always wanted one, the Moonshine isn't going to do much in growth and I'm low on space, so I'll purchase one later when I'm living in a bigger space. Regarding the string of turtles, so far so good.. it's doing well and it's actually started flowering. Thanks for the comment🙂🌱
Happy 'Earth' Day! 😊🎊🎉 I was in Home Depot about a week ago and was shocked that more plants weren't on sale. I live in Indiana and we are in the cold season now so I expected them to be marked down but they were all regular price. I'd like to get another Zz plant (I killed the last one lol) and a rubber plant.
Hi JoJo! (If I may) 😁 Those two plants are a couple of my faves 😍. What's winter like in Indiana? You expected a mark down?! They do that there during winter? Lucky! Our plant section around this time is very limited.. what you saw in the video is small but sometimes it's a smaller selection because winter in Toronto is pretty bad.. but so far, winter this year is less severe than usual, so that might account for the abundance in plants
@@AHAVA7YAH Sure you may! lol - winters here can be bad although the last several years have been "mild" for us. We get below zero windchills and snow. Friday-Sat we are expecting 5-9" they say but most times we get less. I'm in northern Indiana, about 10 minutes from the Michigan line and 75 minutes from the Illinois border so we get a lot of their weather. It definitely gets cold tho which is why I was shocked to see as many plants as I did. Most times we don't see plants in the big box stores until around April and the ones that are left this time of year and typically marked down because they aren't in the best shape. When I went the last time there were so many plants, like they had got a new shipment lol.
Oh OK OK that makes a lot of sense.. it's similar weather to us. I don't plant shop often in the winter but I do know they mark down plants that aren't looking so good in the summer so that should be the case during the winter for us also.. although those big Norfolk Pines in my video were looking pretty bad but still regular price. Getting back to the point, I definitely think it's because the weather has been mild this far that there are so many plant in the stores. I was very happy with the selection they had at that Home Depot though..
