Tom the scarey thing is you look faster on the 250 t than your 450 bud 👍would love to see you race it at the last round of the British 👍👍👍

Simple fix for the throttle is to hold it wide open, and use the clutch - Tomac style! 😂 😂

A wizard and a proper nice guy, too.
I use a G2 ergo throttle tube with the larger cam options (track dependant) with the jimmy twister bearing at the end of the throttle.
I think it makes it a lighter pull and faster response because of the changeable cam for the cable.
Ya it's a kx.. Basically all their 250 2t are short shifters. All bottom and mid. Flat on top. In stock form atleast... Had a 99 same crap. People have this delusions all 2 strokes ride like a a 125 or 80 with no power valve and are just top end screamers. Not even remotely the case. Got a 98 yz 250. Same thing .. all bottom n mid... hard enduro.. dominated by 2t... not top end screamers.. tractors! All depends on porting... compression .... timing.. ...fueling... pipe...... and lastly gearing.. it all plays a part. Really. But mostly porting
Get a domino throttle body and cable
I know it's an old argument but let's face it; Two strokes are way more fun to ride, they're less expensive to maintain, quieter so therefore less likely to force track closures. They sound WAY better, and even though they might be marginally slower than four strokes they LOOK racier & less sluggish, they often offer more line choices and the racing is just more exciting for spectators to watch. The sport would be in a much better and healthier place if manufacturers, the FIM, AMA etc made a conscious decision to switch back to two strokes.

That's some pro pampering there! Must been a while since anyone had that setup, mint KX250 practice bike and an unobtainium Pro Circuit KX250 race bike! Looking good and fast!
Back then it was factory not Pro Circuit. So nobody had that set up.

tommy...... if the throttle cable is original it would be steel and not teflon just drench it in some WD40 at the handlebar to lighten the throttle_ also if you have the tickover at higher revs you get better pick up into the powerband

Spray a load of GT85 into the throttle housing. That's what works with mine

To make throttle lighter put carb spring on grinding wheel to make it thinner

Easier throttle...cut the 2nd layer off of the cable. The 2nd layer is just for rubbing protection, but you don't need that. It'll help make the clutch pull easier also if you do the same to clutch cable. If that's not enough then cut 1 spring coil off of the carb slide spring. No more then 3 coils
...And use a bearing throttle tube

Love these videos and i have an 01 250 and ride at vip so now i have a lap time to chase, just needs to go to mitch because i need to shave 43 seconds of the lap time to be competitive 😂. Keep the vlogs coming bro

Carmichael went through so many of those bikes and parts his dad dug a big hole and started burying bikes and blown engines and parts
To solve the throttle issue try and cut a few coils off the spring that’s on the slide in the carb to make it have a lighter pull
The PC engine should be under 1.5 of squish…. That sound is amazing

to get a somewhat lighter throttle you can cut the spring inside the carb that is on the slide not much but a little bit to make it an easier pull

wow it,s no wonder your in a good mood tom that two stroke sounds sweet. i know the kwacker is a carmicheal replica but please ditch the no 4 on it and your merch we want to see no 100 not 4. mel,s keeping a very low profile at the moment iv,e got a sneaky feeling he,s out practising day and night but it aint gonna make no difference when you smoke him. i would say ando will be your biggest threat at vmxdn.

Ive heard if you cut 2 coils (possibly more) off the spring in the carb it makes for a lighter throttle?
Your very close but you lose the spring balance doing that so yes, it works but the run on can make it uncontrollable

Eer No that’s the opposite to what you want to do, we have ground the springs before but in this case we’re going to run an all new throttle housing, a proper one piece tube and a genuine Kawasaki cable and look at routing options before we test on Wednesday again
Cut 4 1/2 coils. That's the winner. Gives a bit of excitement when it sticks. Exhilarating
