Thank you so much Sleepless Knight, for this design, you did an amazing job in capturing both, the Lego- and the real world essence in a perfect blend! Basically you established the falcons as a winter/mountain based faction with this set (which they had been in my book anyways all along, sort of "The Starks" of the Lego knights kingdoms. Both as a Lego and a Castle fan I am delighted. If you ever visit southern germany, check out castle 'Meersburg' in the town of Meersburg at the Bodensee lake in Baden Württemberg. It is a beautiful castle (not mountain this one) and very well preserved. They even have a cafe/restaurant which offers propper local dishes. Now I will patiently await my own Mountain Fortress which has been ordered yesterday. Cheers!
I like this set, however, your MOC Lion's Castle is still my favorite castle design ever. Gratulacje i oby wiecej twoich arcydziel bylo docenianych przez entuzjastow lego.
Designer did great. Outside is top notch. Im sure inside would be with more pieces. LEGO went crazy on price. Slight under LKC. Yet LKC has MORE: more pieces, 1 more horse, a cow, 2 barding, 1 cloth cape, 2 cloth flags...
In my country this MF cost 15% LESS than the LKC (about 20-25% less if you consider inflation as the LKC is old). But it has only 11% less pieces so the price per piece is better. But other vise I do agree. The bardings and cloths are expensive pieces.
The more I look at the design of this the more I like it. Whereas the LKC works best opened up, I get the sense that this castle really shines design wise when it is closed up, with the multiple outer gates that lead up to the main tower. This appears to be the first time Lego releases a castle with a central tower that is actually more or less surrounded by outer walls. I do wish there was more detail on the inside, but it will be fun to complete the interior. I'm not a big fan of half timber buildings on top of battlements, but this can easily be rebuilt in stone. So this is a set that provides a really excellent basic foundation and likely a fun building experience, while leaving plenty of options for customization.
I sadly missed it. Then a "friend" told me he bought 2 and could sell me the 2nd one at the price he paid it (even if he chose to buy 2 to make a benefit by selling the number 2). Then he apologized, saying he, in fact, bought only 1 piece. And now, months later, he just wrote me to say he'll miss time to build it (like he could't do it in months or years... anyways) and propose to sell it to me; but not the price he bought it. I'll try to negociate cause I won't pay too much - I already renounced to sets because of their original price -, but II think I'll find a good price to buy it to him - cheaper than what we find on the net cause I wouldn't pay this - cause I really want it. I love castles, I need more and more. Juste bought the beautiful Forest Stronghold of series 3 on Bricklink. I'll probably also buy ur "Adventure in Transylvania" of series 5 cause it looks gorgeous too.
At least it should have been made up in more minifigs and a lion knight king in the prison cell like the bio offered. There are no indications that is the king more like a weary old lion knight soldier. For $380 we should recieve same amount of minifigs as the lion knight’s castle
you "should" be grateful that some dude halfway around the world took the time to design such a beauty. It's up to you to change it to your pleasing, or just dont buy it. But demanding something from a fan community crowdfunding project is a bit ... ungratefull.
@@rumpelpumpel7687 someone can criticize the pricing and it doesn't mean they fundamentally disrespect the designer - I don't know where you get "crowdfunding" from when LEGO owns Bricklink now
@@zibberebbiz crowdfunding for the sets actually starts today in afew hours. Its not like they just produce the sets... nxt step is literally called start of crowd funding. thats where i got it from
Congratulations, I love the structure of this castle, I find it more interesting than the lion knights castle. I like the way you played with angles to give this castle an unique aspect. The exterior looks perfect to me, except for this house which looks strange. It’s too aligned with the main tower, it lacks relief and the junction with this tower is too clear. But also, I can see that it looks a bit unfinished, especially in the interior. I know you were limited with 4000 pieces, if it had maybe 500 more to overcome these imperfections, it would have been perfect in my opinion 😊
I agree with you on the interior. But the briclink program only allows up to 4000 pieces and this set is already at 3995. But it’s too pricey especially for something unlicensed
It is such a pity I missed it. If anyone who happens to buy 2 sets of this, could you please contact me and I would love to buy it from you!! Many thanks!
Don't worry. I expect a lot of people to be selling this set when they receive it. I suspect a lot of buyers got two, so there won't be a shortage of them on eBay in July.
Sold out in under 3 hours! Fortunately managed to grab one.

That is like comparing a limited series custom car to a mass-production street version.

Big fan of all of your designs, mr. Sleepless. Got your Sabre Island complimenting my pirate diorama. Can't wait till July comes around!
Ordered it! Can’t wait!
Congrats on a € 510,000 paycheck :).
For real? Holy moly :D
This would fit very nicely with the Lion Knights' Castle Icons set.
And he designed and successfully admitted the falcons siege equipment into the designer program so they can march on the Lions castle!
That was actually a very cute preview. Preordered. :D
Looking forward to preordering this on Wednesday.
ommg you guys are killing me. I must have it. lol
lmao same here I already spent an arm and a leg importing LKC to Vietnam and now I'm about to spend my remaining limbs :P
Glad I woke up at 3am (spent 45 mins trying for page load). When I looked later in the morning castles were gone.
built this yesterday, amazing set, better than lion knights castle imho

SOOOO AMAZING! :D
Cool bacinet helmet
Gorgeos set, horrendous price tag!
I would buy it, but no shipping offered to Middle East :(
I just wish there were Dark Pearl gray armor parts... instead of the flat silver...

The site crashed as soon as pre-orders became available.
And sold out and now $1000 on ebay kekw

It’s like a hype sneaker drop haha
@@jucando4407 i know xD i left work early today just to be able to preorder ^^
Sold out so fast I didn't get one hope they don't scalp it to hell
Needs to be widened a bit
Are the flags a nod to Ukraine?
Best I can do is 650 stones.
I see what you did there
@@LordDamo Let's hope Lego doesn't release a trebuchet anytime soon.
For 300+ euros interior is too sparse. Also there is no king minifigure. Kinda dissapointing
No king cause there's a Queen silly
The queen leaves a little to be desired in my opinion, but still not bad

There is a king. The Lion Knights King is in the dungeon. Check Solid Brix Studio's review.
😂😂😂❤
Far too pricey for what you’re getting tbh
Lucky for you it's sold out already. So you don't have to worry about it anymore.
People would buy a Lego castle like this for 50 bucks...there is no interior bla bla bla, buy chinese blocks if you don't have the money
overprized but still I'm buing it ;)
