I am working at my own medieval City and you drop this thing. I love it. ❤ I don't know if I can finish it this month (because of my orders on bricklink) but if I can, I will send it to you, for the contest.
I appreciate your approach to moc building. It looks good, creative and is accessible. So many of these other builder's mocs are huge with massive piece counts and way too intimidating. Keep up the great work!
That roof design is detailed and great with the Light bluish gray walls. I got myself 12 of those from a complete D&D CMF set, hopefully that is enough to build something similar one day.
The roof tiles are a great parts usage. The outward-extended stained glass window is beautiful. I'll bet that shining a light from outside makes the throne room look really good. For the sake of practicality, arrow slits should have a shooting platform behind which isn't covered in obstacles. A wooden platform with storage underneath might let you do both. Blocking arrow slits makes the falcon knights look undisciplined and careless. Of course, that may be what you're going for, if the falcons are arrogant in their conquests and can't imagine that anyone would dare to attack them. That might also explain why they let civilians compromise the castle by building against the exterior walls.
I definitely thought about keeping the arrowslits more realistic on this inside but i also wanted a bunch of different interiors that were unrelated to the exterior details. Kinda like how the exteriors of buildings in video games rarely match up on the inside for the sake of gameplay/aesthetics.
I love the build, it’s not overly detailed so it doesn’t look crowded. The one thing i think would improve it would be to raise the roof a brick or two higher so it doesn’t cover windows
I love the size you chose for this. I have the old medieval market and tried to build more houses in that size, but quickly ran out of bricks. I might take everything appart and rebuild it smaller.
Looks so nice! Really matches the other buildings. Only note i have is to add a little colour, a gray black blue palette would look stuning! Great work
Hello goldfyre, I have an idea for your city and first I might say it look amazing!! What I wanted to say is you could recreate this and use it behind the open walls with clips so you can open it really easily and still get the same doll house feel if you open it. This creates a cool 3D effect and also more room so nothing gets cramped. And by using this you could instal the brown batelmants and fences on the entire wall and have lots of open space. A stable would be super cool and necessary for all of the knights btw. Love your vids
Goldfyre, what I like about your buildings is that you don’t overload them with additional colors and plants that have already grown on the walls. This makes your buildings, firstly, easier to repeat and secondly, they look both detailed and clean.
I love detailed and clean, but I also love to add plants. The cleaner your castle is, the better will the plants work to bring the whole thing to life.
@@karterver337 You don't have to. The beauty is that you can build it however you prefer it. Super clean and tight, without too many distracting colors or details, all the way on a scale towards super cluttered with lots of colors. I prefer clean builds, but that dash of green (or dark green) really makes it feel a bit more realistic.
Looks good. I think you should rotate the castle plate 90 degrees so that the buildings line the street leading to the gatehouse. Then you can line the other side of the street with other buildings such as the Blue Dragon Temple you mentioned.
Man, each video you put out just comes better and better...i am not an expert, just started my own moc journey, but in my opinion if you have add a bit of leafs and those green vines on the castle! Cheers!
Although this is not really my go to style of content, I do appreciate the fact that the title page actually contains the things in the video, and not just random other interesting looking stuff just to get people to click.
I would say add some plants and maybe some pop up stands for like food and bread in front of the castle cause it looks a lil bland in the front but it’s a very slick build love it
I love your take on a Modular city. Honestly its perfect for someone who doesnt have a lot of room (or money lol) to do whole enclosed buildings. And this castle is a perfect culmination of that point. It looks fantastic, visually is impressive, and easily accessible! You gotta make a Rebrickable for the first few buildings and especially this castle!
Great looking build that fits really snugly next to the former one. Your version of 'having a lot of room to move around' is quite a bit more cramped up than mine, but other than the castle looking a bit boxy and straight it is a very satisfying end result. The texture and choice of bricks to use makes for a very clean look, which is something I always appreciate. As always the minifigures you use are top notch and I think that if you can find the time (and bricks) to add to this it will be an amazing thing to show on a primary shelf. Well done!
Thanks! Yeah i would love to add alot more to this and i honestly could but... I don't want to take apart my raven tower from a month or so ago. I've got a couple of orders I'm about to place so i can refuel up my parts collection.
Thanks man! Yeah i'm really liking the scale of this series so far though i may add some more to the front of the buildings at some point and move to 32x32 plates.
This is definitely yet another amazing video. I’ve always loved seeing your outstanding LEGO videos since they give me so much inspiration to o create unique builds of my own. Great job as always and I can’t wait to see what you do next. I also love the fact that you have Treasure Planet playing in the background…a very good choice.
Bull knights are my favorite faction and I love the minis especially with the dragon helmets but I agree the siege engines weren’t the best. Perhaps the bulls allied themselves with these knights and have an engineering guild/siege workshop in your city.
Love all these castle like builds you’ve been doing recently but I have a question do you think you will ever make a full size castle? Like lion knights one for example
I would love to but as of right now i just don't have enough parts. At some point i would love to finish all the sides of this one but i'm gonna need a lot more pieces to do it justice
This build is amazing! I live all the detail in such a small space, especially how you used those dnd plates. One thing I noticed is that the pathway didn’t continute, will you be updating it in the next video?
The roof gives me an idea for the fantasy town I'm working on, though the only problem is I don't have a lot of the stands.(Darn, now I have buy more D&D minifigs 😏)
I love the modularity you've built in/ I am curious, are these things stable enough? They seem rather easy to tear down by accident. If not, then the modularity is GREAT. This is something I wish lego would do . Multiple under 100 euro sets that could be made into a super awesomesauce castle / city .
Fantastic work! I would say this is definitely one of your best mocs thus far. I'd also just like to thank you for introducing me to a side of Lego I've always been aware of but never really got into, and now before I know it there's $60 worth of castle stuff in my PaB cart. Oh lego, I love you dearly but my wallet really doesn't.
Thanks! I really appreciate that and im so glad your getting into castle! The medieval stuff can be pretty expensive but getting figs and parts from PAB is the best way to get into the theme right now. Also if you don't already have it i'd recommend grabbing the 3in1 castle before it retires.
These are wonderful. I know you are limited by personal funds, but I feel like a little thicker and this would be a wonderful set. I love the black falcons and excited to see more of this series
ay your castle game has gotten really good, man. 🗣🗣 The letter from the dragon knights in the throne room gave me hope that there may be some lore playing out in the backround🤔maybe the kings of different factions are forming alliances??
You could stagger the minifigure plates by putting one row vertical, one row horizontal. It does mean you would have to have more of them, but it won't break the bank (even though you would practically be buying them for $5 each)
Maybe the Gold was all the Fyre we made along the way
so true!!!

That railing on the second floor is gorgeous
Thanks! I first learned it from a MOC by @edgeofbricks
I really like how modular and smaller it is, the castle Mocs I usually see are either big and lose all detail or will crumble if you just look at it
Not exactly something I would call sturdy, but neither is it flimsy. It sits on the perfect spot between detailed and strong.
Thanks! I personally love this scale and it definitely helps that i don't have enough parts to build any larger than this lol
This is great Goldfyre. I think it's my favourite of yours so far. Feels like a real set. Well done.
Last modular video I said that it was the best MOC you ever made but this one is in another level 🎉🎉
Ayyy, thank you so much!

Love the modular castle city idea! It is coming along quite nicely.
Im impressed with how well the DnD tiles work for the roof
I love the ingot pieces as part of the wall; I admit I will be copying your idea! The D&D tiles are also a great touch. Keep it up!
