I would personally put Half Moon Bay above all of these towns. Mavericks and several other beaches with great surfing, the best small bookstore on the peninsula in Inkspell, an awesome place for Sunday bssketball at Boys and Girls club gym, a decent downtown that is not too big, a properly sized Farmers Market (compared to the massive San Mateo Farmers Market), home to the Pumpkinfest, solid hiking and mountain biking trails, and a decent middle nexus point between San Mateo and Daly City (if you can't find what you need in Half Moon Bay, it is not too much of a drive to go 20 minutes north to Daly City or 20 minutes south to San Mateo).
The downtown for San Mateo is a heaven for foodies, making San Mateo highly desirable place to buy a home on the peninsula. Aragon High is also very highly rated.
You’re absolutely right - downtown San Mateo is such a hot spot for stellar food especially over the last few years. And Aragon HS is a fantastic school too from everything I’ve heard.
Maybe Hillsborough is too out of my league and I don't understand. But I really don't like the dark feeling every time when I enter the area. I feel like they got houses all underneath the tall trees with no sunlight at all... Also, the streets are so narrow with many sharp turns but no street light. I don't know how they can just not crash a pedestrian when they drive back home after 7pm in winter. lol
You’re right, there are a ton of trees in the town. But I think that is what people who choose to buy their value and they also really appreciate the larger lots. The street lights is a real thing and it’s like that in much of Belmont as well. It’s not for everyone for sure and obviously it is cost prohibitive for almost everyone. But for the folks who are drawn to it, they are happy there and it is a beautiful place to live.
I noticed he said Bridgepoint Shopping center is in Foster City but it's in San Mateo. Why no mention of Brlmont, Menlo Park, the most affordable East Palo Alto, and the must expensive zip code in the USA, Atherton. BART and train also available in San Bruno and South San Francisco not just Millbrae.
As someone who grew up in The Bay, great video! You should have mentioned the Millbrae County Library, which is likely why the city is so desirable to most buyers. 😉📚
I would say, your metrics were consistent until you got to Hillsborough. Honestly, because of pricing and lack of diversity in land use, I would say it's a bottom tier city for myself.
That is fair. Hillsborough is a little bit of an anomaly given it only has houses, whereas almost every other town nearby has different types of housing, retail, commercial, etc.
Awesome video my friend , always enjoy your wonderful videos , thank you for sharing and thumps up , have an amazing day . ❤❤❤❤. ❤❤❤❤. ❤❤❤❤ 😎😎😎😎😎😎 ❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤🎉❤❤❤🎉 13

You didn't mention Brisbane. One of the most unique towns in the Bay Area with a genuine small town character.
Thanks for the Brisbane shout out!

You are correct - my mistake. It is in San Mateo. All great points you made - couldn't pack it all in!
Did you miss Belmont?
Yes, I love Belmont!
What about the towns that you didnt mention? Are they in the worst category?

Thanks! That’s a great point - the Millbrae library is fantastic.
@selinov had no idea there is a "millbrae county library" ... it must be outside of san mateo county.
What about Belmont?
We love Belmont! Check out my video about the town.
@@livinginsanmateocountycawhich tire?
Yes, what about Belmont? Where would you rank it?
You missed Belmont? Too small perhaps? lol
I love Belmont!

what about 94403 san mateo city ?
San Mateo is definitely a fantastic place to live!
You should have titled the video Best and Worst of the San Mateo County Peninsula. You didn’t mention any towns along the coast.
That’s a good point.
Nice video! But another town that was not included is East Palo Alto 😊.
True. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to cover everywhere.
Awesome video my friend , always enjoy your wonderful videos , thank you for sharing and thumps up , have an amazing day . ❤❤❤❤. ❤❤❤❤. ❤❤❤❤ 😎😎😎😎😎😎
