You opened my eyes with grass in branded. I’ve been play testing a 60 card branded deck this week and any time I resolved grass it never significantly changed my game state. I realized that you activate grass and pray to hit only a handful of specific cards vs other decks where every mill is valuable. So why even try to resolve grass when you can cut all the BS and just draw exactly what you need every time. Will definitely be play testing a smaller branded deck
I tried the build with 2 adjustments after the recent banlist. Ended up cutting branded in white for the 2nd opening. I decided to run chinera over sp little knight on diamond 5 due to the amount of backrow heavy decks I was playing into. Once I reached the higher tiers I stopped running chimera altogether due to not getting any value from it.
I think he just doesn't have the 2nd sarc right now tbh so is running the 1 foolish 1 sarc. 2 sarc is better for sure since it can search more stuff anyways
Your deck is more my style, i don't like max c nor ashes in branded. Im playing yugioh for less than a month but i enjoy branded. Tried yubel in new account, way to easy and unfun play. Not a fun of current metas. Grass also think doesn't worth on branded. Friend adviced me do 3 super polys, not best value in deck overall. Also advised chimera to deal with spells, don't really use. Unlucky on pulls here, open so many cartesia and branded lost packs, just never pulls. I shall craft both in end, need focus other cards not available in secrets and selections packs tho. Great video.

can you explain why we only myself runs 3 kit? it's super good starter, extender, all in 1 card and also good to have more for rindbrum fusion , i have more questions too
Branded is such a fun deck but I just can’t bring myself to do the Albion+Floodgate plays 😕 Wish they’d ban Albion and/or the targets so that we could have the core strategy’s consistency back
As long as tenpai is this dominant i don't think you have to feel that bad for floodgating them because the format is just so uninteractive. When the top players actually start cutting maxx c in their decks you know that hell broke loose and you should just do whatever you can to survive.

@@Elshi3400 I’d be cool with banning all the floodgates and in fact I’d love that; problem is though that eventually they will create more monsters that have some kind of self-floodgate while on field that fits in-archetype to balance new decks, and as soon as they do we’re back to square one unless the card(s) specifically say “cannot be summoned from the GY”
Obviously this beats tenpai and branded in general has an ok matchup against FKSK but isn't yubel an autolose matchup, especially going second? (Tear is also a coin flip matchup).
You don't need either of those if the opponent lets you go first and you can't draw into relevant handtraps. They either win or lose the game on turn 2 so card advantage doesn't matter. Only in the non-tenpai matchups maxx c would be nice but as he said you just rely on your branded engine to carry.
It sounds mental, but the logic is there. Maxx C if Tenpai is the dominant deck only really helps you if you're a hand trap deck, and Branded has too much engine requirement to go hard on hand traps. If you picked apart this list really hard you could fit maybe 10-12, and that's not gonna cut it. And again, if Tenpai is dominant, many board breakers are bricks that don't do anything. Branded could play Droplets, but the Tenpai field spell checks it anyways, they won't care if they have a strong hand. Regardless, this mostly applies to high level play, however you build Branded on the normal ladder is probably fine.
Maxx c isnt even needed much. 90% of that time, that shits being negated and top players know how to play around it. So it's better to play cards that give some consistency, example the 3 solemn judgements in that one guys deck.

basically you don't want to see more than 1 kitt in hand, also it's the worst normal summon since you go -1 after shuffling a card back

sanctifire is one of the best cards in the ED regardless if you puppet lock or not, why the fuck would you ban it instead of the floodgates?

Tenpai forced/leaded to some very weird choices, also the worlds players and top 10 (most of it) isn't playing maxx c and solemn in main.
