As a young girl I had the distinct pleasure of meeting and talking with Sr. Thea! I loved the fact that she worked in teaching/training Caucasian priests and Bishops in how to MINISTER to Black people/congregations.
She would stop by our church when she was in Chicago.

❤😊😮Awesome speech by a virtuous woman of God. Truth will rise up continually, from the ashes generation after generation for God's word will be heard.
It's 2024 and this word is yet pertinent and true even though the speaker has gone home to the Lord.

I love Sr. Thea Bowman's speech. It really brings into perspective the needs of the present Church. Her speech reminds me of the experiences with racism that Black Catholics and Catholics of color experience in our parishes. May there be healing in the United States Church. Sr. Thea Bowman, pray for us.

She is with us in SPIRIT and 👀 what is going on and rooting 4 us to get this thing called life right!! Her voice still SPEAKS VOLUMES. This is why they r still showing various documentaries today. 🙏
