@Lian Kyson Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
There should be an Trophy for this called "Just like Old Times", It would've been effing dope (since P5R Trophy was piss easy, Almost on the "Telltale Games" level kind of easy.
Seeing this is... impressive. With a full team, I was only just barely able to beat her, and that's after a lot of experimentation and luck, as well as some prior planning. But doing this solo and on the highest difficulty? I still have a long ways to go. I'll also need to work on my Persona's stats.
Fun fact: If you teach Izanagi-no-Okami Concentrate, you can use it at the start of Joker's turn, get a Crit/Technical with another party member (Fairly easy if you have Kasumi and Haru on your team, Brave Step activated for the increased Crit Rate and Black Moon R equipped to Haru for Apt Pupil), baton pass back to Joker and do some ridiculous damage with Myriad Truths. And you can repeat this every single turn, as long as you can pull off the Crit.
Actually only Izanagi no okami. You have a 3% chance to get through phase 3(critical on every turn). So he skipped it by doing enough damage on the first turn of phase. There are only 2 ways to deal that much damage in one turn. Izanagi no okami being the easiest. Asterius the slightly trickier one. No yoshi, no black viper satanael, no kaguya. No crits. Even a freeze technical hassou Tobi is too weak Lavenza isn't a simple damage per turn test. She's a true challenge boss. Every phase is essentially a different challenge. P5R has 4 secret bosses. But you'll have to deal damage with several elements so it kinda tests wether you've been building several personas or just megidola through everything. 2nd phase tests your ability do set up technical. 3rd tests your ability to crit. 4th is a damage test and tests your durability with high damage attacks. Lavenza is fairly simple if you use party members and cover their weaknesses (yes you can nullify your party member's weaknesses)

Bainz I tried to fight her last run with Izanagi no Okami but I still couldn’t do enough damage for the first even with haru buffing me and akechi debuffing. How the hell did you do it alone with izanagi?
@@Kurokun01 Not 100% certain, but I believe Lavenza has a hidden resistance to Almighty during Phase 1. So using the appropriate element is better there. But Myriad Truths should still be enough with a full party. Country Maker scales damage based on compendium completion so maybe fill that up more?
I have a question. I still haven't beat Lavenza at all. To be able to fight her solo, do you need to beat her first with the team? Or is it some kind of DLC option to fight her solo?

Sorry for too many questions. I love your video, it really helped me. THANKS
1. They do stack, but there's a critical rate upper limit of 60% in Royal. But it's prob worth it to stack them here 2. Ya, Ailment Boost (1.25x), Sleep Boost (1.25x) and Ambient Aid (1.3x) all stack 3. Honestly not sure if Freeze Boost affects the Gun. Couldn't hurt to try it 4. Ya, you can Concentrate using anything. It doesn't have to be Vishnu btw, it can be anyone (for the Dream Needle part) 5. I didn't have to use Insta-Heal here, but it was still useful to have, cuz I still could've gotten frozen/shocked/burnt at some point in Phase 4. And unless you null all ailments in Phase 1, it's generally good to have then too. If the game gets patched at some point, I can always update the guide No prob!
first of all: dude, great job. you made this fight look easier than anyone else ive seen do it so far. second, i have a question. howd you get arsene with the will of the sword trait? do i have to fuse arsene or use the gallows?
You have to fuse him from a Persona that already has Will of the Sword. The trait comes from Futsunushi originally, so you'd have to find a fusion path down to Arsene. I am planning on making an Arsene vid soon
These "fights" have always and will probably will always be nothing but stat checks. Step 1 is grind a few personas for an absurd amount of time. Step 2, trial and error until you figure out the extremely specific order you have to do things in.
If they wanted to go all out, they should have given whatever persona Lavenza has their basic Trait IE: 25% DMG increase single target/multiple target Resistance to Ailments Increase Ice DMG Increase Fire DMG That would be a real pain
I just thought of something, start the fight off with less then 50% health, and have asterious and asterious pic With their trait and each one specialized in wind and fire, and izanagi no okami and izanagi no okami pic. One with electric and one ice. Then have santanael with universal law and his tyrants mind passive with psycho skills, then yoshistune doing physical.
I can't really remember the fusion path, but I started with Vohu Manah (Positive Thoughts trait) and just worked my way down, using skill cards for Heat Riser/Debilitate
I'm attempting to build an elemental build right now, and I thought you'd have a pretty good idea of what persona, trait, and skills to use. Should I use Satanael with magic ability, pagan allure, and tyrant's mind? If I were to squeeze spell master and victory cry in too, I wouldn't have room for two element skills. Should I create a separate persona build around those two elements with amps/boosts and mighty gaze?
Yea, Satanael works well for multiple elements. You could have Fire, Ice, Elec and Wind on him, with Magic Ability, Tyrant's Mind, Victory Cry and 1 free slot. If you want everything on one Persona, you could just have the 6 elements, Tyrant's Mind/Magic Ability and Victory Cry, you'd only be missing out on 25% dmg. If you have the DLC, Izanagi-nO is also good for multi-elements due to Country Maker. For Psy and Nuke, because you can hit technicals with them, Universal Law (Tech damage +50%) or Ailment Hunter (Attack up +25% per each foe with an ailment) might be better. Magatsu-Izanagi has an exclusive trait called Hollow Jester, which is Attack up +40% per foe with an ailment. But ya, you could also just stick with Mighty Gaze and Amp/Boost skills.
@@MarioCreeper22 Hey sorry didn't see this earlier. Magatsu-Izanagi is generally the best Persona for Psy/Nuke due to Hollow Jester. But another Persona could work with Ailment Hunter/Universal Law, it'd just be less damage. For skills, just the high tier Psy/Nuke moves, with Boost+Amp+Magic Ability
Ok, Why do you have that trait on your fafnir, I used will of the sword trait. Can you tell me if I should reconsider changing my fafnir? And I really want an ultimate fafnir build since I couldn’t find one.
May I have your input...? I did a technical (off of rage ailment) with Haru, dealing 2796 damage then baton pass to Joker, but Joker did 2793 damage. Joker had concentrate/attack up; Universal Law trait and severe psy (boost and stuff). Haru only had concentrate. (Granted, I only had to do ~2k during phase 3 to finish, but I can't figure out why Joker's tech damage was low)
Hey! I saw your video, and tbh I'm not completely sure why Joker's damage was low in comparison to Haru on that turn. The only thing I can think of is that sometimes Lavenza has a cap on how much damage you can do during a phase. Like for example, I had a time during Phase 3, where Joker and Haru did a ton of damage right away, and after Sumi's Sword Dance did literally 1 damage. So maybe the game says, you've done enough damage this phase, you'll have to wait for the next one. But obviously, it doesn't appear consistent because Myriad Truths in this vid did like 11k. Maybe multi-hit moves ignore it? Again, not 100% sure. Sorry I don't have a better explanation. Love your vids btw.
@@bainz Thank you so much for replying! Yeah, I figured this inconsistency might be hard to explain... In that run, I did around 6.1k in phase 1 and 6k in phase 2, so maybe there is a cap at a little over 6k... Anyways, you mention multi-hit skill, so perhaps I will try replacing Psycho Force for the multi-hit version and test it out. You got a really good Lavenza guide; I appreciate it!
@@oinka Here's an example: th-cam.com/video/Lrf-VcFE9z0/w-d-xo.html . Ryuji God's Hand with Charge, Attack up, Baton Pass did 5 damage, obv way less than it should have. After that, Phase 4 started
For Joker, going to the gym/temple boosts his HP/SP. For party members, if you take them to the Jazz Club on certain days, it raises their HP/SP. HP/SP increases carry over through playthroughs.
@@pudgeypig3521 got to max HP/SP for Joker around halfway in NG+ (I went to the temple a bit in first playthrough). Then took members to the Jazz Club pretty often after that
New subscriber. Might be too much to ask, but could you make a video/reply to my comment about how you made the personas you used? Like what fusions you used, what skill cards, etc?
Well, I have videos on my channel of how to build some of them. But for most, I used a Fusion Calc like one: aqiu384.github.io/megaten-fusion-tool/p5r and found fusions/skills that way. The support/Dream Needle Personas can be anyone, for Izanagi-nO it's mainly using Gallows to get skills on him. Bc the process is varied for everyone, it's not really possible to provide a step-by-step guide but a Fusion Calc is the best bet.
bainz well I appreciate any explanations, beating Lavenza is the last trophy I need for my thieves den so any help is appreciated. Keep up the great content.
I’ve followed every step and every build but the biggest roadblock I can’t seem to pass is not getting Critical damage when using Vishnu’s Dream Needle after shooting Cocytus I to get Technical damage. When 1 or neither of them work she finishes me off. Do I have to rely on luck for that step to work?😓
it's super luck reliant, but ailment boost, sleep boost, trigger happy, apt pupil, etc can boost the chance. still low probability of both occurring in one run
@@bainz update: finally got Critical damage with Vishnu’s Dream Needle but when I used Izunagi-no Myriad Truth didn’t get Technical damage & got whipped out. Not gonna lie this annoyingly frustrating😒
What does the items she give you do? (She being so late in the game discourages me so much to go through the story for the 6th time since she will only fight you after you secure the route to the last palace's treasure) p.s. I played the vanilla P5 and completed it four times that's why I'm darn bored with the 1st&2nd semester lol
She gives the Omnipotent orb, it’s the same item given by the Twins in the New Game+ of vanilla Persona 5. It prevents most attacks, unsure about almighty, and is super OP.
Well, based on observation, here's what I can see as the basic plan for this. Start : Arsene with Will of the Sword for starting concentrate. Phase 1 : She alternates between Fire, Ice, Electricity and Wind, in that order. Persona are swapped to reflect. She resists all but what would be her elemental weakness (When using fire, she resists everything but takes normal damage from ice, for example) Turn 1 : Debilitate/Dekaja, as trying to use Heat Riser here will cause her to just cast Dekaja so... don't waste the turn. Turn 2 : Heat riser, as it is now safe to do so. Turn 3 : Panta Rei with Izanagi-no-okami. Max country maker + concentrate + attack up = big damage. Turn 4 : Concentrate. Turn 5 : Rebellion, for increases critical chance come phase 2. Turn 6 : Debilitate. Turn 7 : Panta Rei. Phase 2 : Requires technical damage each turn. Turn 1 : Gun with freeze mod. ideally, first shot for freeze, second shot for technical. Turn 1 (ONCE MORE) : Star onion for concentrate effect, swapping for dream needle persona to allow for persona swap next turn. Turn 2 : Dream needle. Critical and sleep. Turn 2 (ONCE MORE) : Myriad Truths. Technical + max country maker + concentrate = enough damage to bypass phase 3. This whole phase is very luck based, but otherwise very simple. Phase 4 : She'll use a max power megiodon at some point (can't figure out when), but now takes normal damage from almighty attacks. Turn 1 : Concentrate Turn 2 : Myriad Truths Repeat until dead.
@@connorcampbell-bisson8721 Yes, basically this. Most of the preparation and how to go about the fight is within the linked guide in the description. And it's 6 turns in Phase 4 before she uses Megidolaon.
Any way to get the crit rate up for dream needle without sacrificing status? I have a lot of trouble trying to crit with needle, it makes it obnoxious trying to get it to actually hit at all.
A Persona with the Vitality of the Tree trait, Apt Pupil, Trigger Happy and Adverse Resolve should give the highest crit rate for Dream Needle. Then Sleep Boost and Ailment Boost could be added
I hope someone will reply, I am new with the persona games. recently finished P3 and P5 currently playing P4. why do everyone hates izanagi no okami on this fight? or generaly???
Its because without Izanagi you can't consistently beat this on merciless but Izanagi and the picaro version are paid dlc to basically you gotta pull out that wallet
Me watching: alright, is it gonna be no DLC skills? Will update afterwards if it wasn't. Edit: It wasn't :/ Not that that diminishes much how impressive this is.
Holy fk. I don't know that you could skip the crit phase. The crit phase is very annoying when i try to solo her. Thanks for the guidance. And can i have any chance to solo her without Izanagi no okami ? I tried 3 times but when crit phase started, she would kick my ass with All out attack
well I did it whitout Miryad Thruths, you can use Asterious instead of Izanagi for Phase 1, I use izanagi because Futaba always heal me on the worst time posible :(, if you do it like this, you will need just 2 crits in a row to make it to phase 4, just build a persona whit all the crits boost like apt pupil, adverse resolve(you need to put vitality of the tree trait for this to work) and trigger happy so you can reach the 60% crit cap whitout the buff crit, here is the video on how I beat her, whit this method I beat her 1 out a 8 times, saddly is the most consistent way to beat her whitout Myriad Thruths that I know th-cam.com/video/-IEq5BewOcY/w-d-xo.html
It might be something that is clear to everyone but me, but I don't get why you are using phanta rei on InO picaro, also can you win even if you don't have 999 hp/sp ? I was going to try and make all the personas I need to solo her but I didn't pay much attention to how many max hp/sp I had. Btw congrats, I still can't believe you can actually solo her
You don't need to have max HP/SP, it helps but you can use a Soma when you're low on either. Using the right element (Wind after Lavenza uses Elec) does more damage than using Almighty in Phase 1.
How did you do the 2500+ damage at the beginning of the fight? I can only do 1000 at my best attempt, and I copied everything you did perfectly. I’m extremely confused
How do you do so much more damage than me I got magical ability and all that Nevermind I don't think I have Almighty Amp I don't know how to get it for any of my personas 😔 I'm beat the twins pretty easy can I at least be considered mediocre LOL
@@bainz Holy shit, dude. Thank you for paying attention to a months-old video long enough to give me this info for my favorite game that I'd never learn otherwise. And about how you froze her with your gun, I'm not really having any luck getting the status to take effect, I'm using Cocytus I. Is there any other secret tricks for that? And my last question is, do you HAVE to hit her with Dream Needle to end the tech phase?
@@Len-jk4zi Not 100% sure, but having Ailment Boost/Freeze Boost/Ambient Aid(on rainy/snowy day) on your equipped Persona could raise the odds of the Freeze Gun. There are a few Phys/Gun skills that apply Sleep/Dizzy but Dream Needle is the best bc crit chance can be raised with Apt Pupil+Trigger Happy, as they stack.

@@bainz Thanks for letting me know! I'll try some new combinations later.
@@bainz If I were to make a technical build with either nuclear/psychokinetic attacks, what skills/trait would you recommend?
@@MarioCreeper22 Hey sorry didn't see this earlier. Magatsu-Izanagi is generally the best Persona for Psy/Nuke due to Hollow Jester. But another Persona could work with Ailment Hunter/Universal Law, it'd just be less damage. For skills, just the high tier Psy/Nuke moves, with Boost+Amp+Magic Ability
@@bainz It's cool, thanks for the info!
@@bainz thanks. Kinda sad we can't skip a phase, but at least we can shorten the hp requirement for the next phase.
How do you get ur hp and sp up that high? And in ur other vidoes too, ur teamates have such large pools of hp and sp compaed to mine.
For Joker, going to the gym/temple boosts his HP/SP. For party members, if you take them to the Jazz Club on certain days, it raises their HP/SP. HP/SP increases carry over through playthroughs.
@@bainz ah okay thats what i wasnt sure of. So you literally must have spent like atleast one whole play thhrough dedicated to that i assume?
@@pudgeypig3521 got to max HP/SP for Joker around halfway in NG+ (I went to the temple a bit in first playthrough). Then took members to the Jazz Club pretty often after that
bainz Wait they do? Mine didn’t tf
So in the last phase, isn't she supposed to nuke your party with megidolaon after 5 turns? I feel like I'm counting more than 5 here...
Can you make guides for every game play?
this is the aciel fight from nocturne but on christmas crack
Positive update: Finally defeated Lavenza after at least 25+ attempts.(side note I changed Jokers outfit to P4 uniform so maybe that helped lol)
@@mikewitoZero Congrats!!
What does the items she give you do? (She being so late in the game discourages me so much to go through the story for the 6th time since she will only fight you after you secure the route to the last palace's treasure)
@@KaiWills It nulls every attack except almighty.
@@Elsuya_Milo It was changed afaik. In royal it no longer nulls phys/gun either. Only magic attacks (Sans almighty).
@@Riganotza You could have said "pardon my french" since i'm sure you didn't mean that Sans is almighty
Will you make anoyher video explain each move u did?
Well, based on observation, here's what I can see as the basic plan for this.
Start : Arsene with Will of the Sword for starting concentrate.
Phase 1 : She alternates between Fire, Ice, Electricity and Wind, in that order. Persona are swapped to reflect. She resists all but what would be her elemental weakness (When using fire, she resists everything but takes normal damage from ice, for example)
Turn 1 : Debilitate/Dekaja, as trying to use Heat Riser here will cause her to just cast Dekaja so... don't waste the turn.
Turn 1 : Concentrate
Turn 2 : Myriad Truths
Repeat until dead.
It feels so funny that the enemy attacks itself...
How do you start the fight charged? Is that the random chance with maruki or does that happen because you start with Arsene?
Will of the Sword lets you start with Concentrate up (not in it's descrip)
how much try did u do ? i kept failing on freezing lavenza and crit+sleep on dream needle
why use regular izanagi no okami for myriad truths over picaro?
They are the same once you have max stats
I Wonder How Buff Joker Is I Mean Your Lvl 99 To Get Like 500-600 That’s A Lot Of Working Out
wait why did you get izanagi no okami picaro wind skill
I hope someone will reply, I am new with the persona games. recently finished P3 and P5 currently playing P4.
why do everyone hates izanagi no okami on this fight? or generaly???
Its because without Izanagi you can't consistently beat this on merciless but Izanagi and the picaro version are paid dlc to basically you gotta pull out that wallet
Can I use wealth of lotus instead of positive thoughts?
I hate the fact they turned the hardest mode (merciless) into the easiest mode in royale
will shock do the same technical damage as freeze?
ya, it'd be the same
Me watching: alright, is it gonna be no DLC skills? Will update afterwards if it wasn't.
Edit: It wasn't :/
Not that that diminishes much how impressive this is.
it sadly borders on impossible without Myriad Truths, it’s probably doable with amazing luck
Holy fk. I don't know that you could skip the crit phase. The crit phase is very annoying when i try to solo her. Thanks for the guidance. And can i have any chance to solo her without Izanagi no okami ? I tried 3 times but when crit phase started, she would kick my ass with All out attack
It's not impossible, but you'd have to get multiple crits in a row during Phase 3
Or do insane damage so you only need one Crit or skip the phase altogether
@@bainz Would a 2 team with just Kasumi and no DLc 'sonas be any eaasier?
@@pudgeypig3521 personally I think it's a lot easier, but still a pain, especially in phase 4.
well I did it whitout Miryad Thruths, you can use Asterious instead of Izanagi for Phase 1, I use izanagi because Futaba always heal me on the worst time posible :(, if you do it like this, you will need just 2 crits in a row to make it to phase 4, just build a persona whit all the crits boost like apt pupil, adverse resolve(you need to put vitality of the tree trait for this to work) and trigger happy so you can reach the 60% crit cap whitout the buff crit, here is the video on how I beat her, whit this method I beat her 1 out a 8 times, saddly is the most consistent way to beat her whitout Myriad Thruths that I know th-cam.com/video/-IEq5BewOcY/w-d-xo.html
Love how you had pixie and jack o lantern still as your persona
Phanta rei is powerful? I mean i saw a lot of people use it? Better than myriad truth??
If I wanna try doing this fight solo or with one team mate is it a good idea to have both endure and enduring soul on any used persona?
Endure and Enduring Soul work separately, so I think it'd be fine having both
Thanks, that's what I thought. Now to go pray to the gods of RNG.
I have the same gun but I never get technical damage like you do. Any tips?
country maker / billiards tech dmg rank 4
Dude be using persona joker will use as a super boss on persona 6
.... Wow.
I am sub 69 I feel blessed, remember me when sub 420 enters or sub 666
I was only able to defeat her by chosing...
Spoilers!
Perfect world ending
It might be something that is clear to everyone but me, but I don't get why you are using phanta rei on InO picaro, also can you win even if you don't have 999 hp/sp ? I was going to try and make all the personas I need to solo her but I didn't pay much attention to how many max hp/sp I had. Btw congrats, I still can't believe you can actually solo her
You don't need to have max HP/SP, it helps but you can use a Soma when you're low on either. Using the right element (Wind after Lavenza uses Elec) does more damage than using Almighty in Phase 1.
@@bainz wow I didn't know that, thank you, I'll keep that in mind for when I give it a try
Anyone know why exactly you need rebellion?

How is your gun able to inflict technical damage?
Modified guns at iwais shop
How did you do the 2500+ damage at the beginning of the fight? I can only do 1000 at my best attempt, and I copied everything you did perfectly. I’m extremely confused
Will of the Sword is bugged to give Auto-Concentrate at start of battle

Almighty Amp needs Network Fusion
too hard use myriad truth?
I fought lavenza using izanagi no okami but still can't win this shit cause it's too hard to make your persona with max stat (not level dude).
How on Earth did you get the damage of your Panta Rhei so high with JUST Heat Riser?
Will of the Sword is bugged to give Auto-Concentrate at start of battle

Holy shit, dude.
