I like the idea of Revenant being something of a wild card in the conflict against Duardo
He's too evil to be trusted by the good guys yet he's also far too selfish to work with any of the bad guys

Wouldn't classify it as "too evil" in total, just for the good guys. In general he isn't that bad
More like "he's too far gone beyond the help of the good guys, and too unstable and much of a liability to be manipulated by the bad guys." But I agree. Rev being the remnant of a past long gone is is an interesting angle to work with (cue Necron of Warhammer 40K).
Rev is just a chaotic neutral murderbot assassin with completely understandable trust issues. But to the big corporations he's a lethal weapon. Excited to see how they spin this

1:35 the fact that he actually tries to do the naruto hand signs lol! As a revenant player I've never been more hype for Apex and this animation is one of their best imo
I compared it to a list of hand signs I collected. It was the Reanimation Jutsu. Pretty cool.
Love the use of the ingame sound effects of the abilities in these trailers. Gonna miss his silence, but looking forward to the rework

Very creepy how he’s almost running through the vents and we see his point of view. I’m very excited to see how revenant is going to work in the new season and how the rest of the lore is fleshed out. One of my favorite legends getting a whole rework is bittersweet in a way
His leaked abilities seem to make him quicker and better at helping the team in a fight, possibly a really good counter to runaways like Octane, Loba and Wraith who leave mid fight to find cover two towns over

Oh my days I’ve just read up on what they could be doing and no way they are turning him into a support, push people away with a shield, make his ult a healing station and make him wall run, their better be a refund station for my heirloom and skins on him because I picked him as my main to be an aggressive killing machine, not a SUPPORT
To be honest, the classic Revenant looks so much more spookier and serious like an assassin. This new revenant looks like a robot toy from the kids’ section. It wasn’t needed to change the outlook.

The new lore is too good. I love how they show revenant as an actual killing machine instead of some bot like they do in trailers. Given that he’s been murdering everything in sight in the outlands for 315 years with no sign of slowing down, he deserves to be shown as the most terrifying thing in the universe.

@@lukegoldsworthy9036 the reason is that the season trailers are always contracted out to animation studios with little control over how the trailer is actually put together, other than a broad outline to show off the new legend.
It's interesting to see how Revenant does what he do in Apex Lore context, how his abilities work without the gameplay simplification magic. They made his abilities much like "ohhh that's how it works"

I'll admit it...this really brought a smile to my face seeing revenant work. Those POVs of summoning the totem were great, just when I was thinking, imagine they use the ninja summon animation then boom they show it. I will miss my silence but I'm excited now

I really think this is an untapped area for game design:
Lore based character updates. Something happens in the story-> New weapon/ability implemented in game. Instead of creating an ever expanding and hard to innovate/balance character roster sometimes you can change up an older character and make it feel immersive

I haven’t watched one of these in a while. This was great! It’s obvious a lot of time and passion went into making this. As much as I try to stay away fro Apex, I keep getting pulled back in.
I can’t believe Apex is finally including things that actually happen in real gameplay in its cinematics! The glitch where Rev’s totem doesn’t work properly is a blast from the past. Bravo Apex team!

That's what I'm saying! In literally every trailer after the season 4 trailer, he's getting absolutely bodied by EVERYONE, I'm pretty sure he's supposed to be the "Synthetic Nightmare", the best hitman in all the Outlands, not a joke that everyone makes fun of.

i love the small details from the live game , like how Rev was calling his ALT and making different hand gestures (In game Easter egg) which makes you think if the idea of different dimensions still in lore because of how Rev kept seeing other games in other Revs body

And btw was that shot of Loba beating him that lore-piece of them arguing and fighting from like 1-2years ago? If so, really nice of them to put those stores is full animation.
