As a multi-console owner with a Ps5 Pro/Series X. Halo MCC coming to Playstation makes me happy, it may breathe new life into the servers and I'll have more people to play with. It's a win win imo!
Xbox fanboys need to stop looking at Playstation and Nintendo as competitors for Microsoft. Xbox is now competing with EA, UBISOFT, CD PROJECT RED and the rest of the third party publishers. In retrospect it was so dumb when some people dreamed that all ABK games would have some sort of exclusivity. No way you buy something like CoD only to sacrifice a huge chunk of its profitability for the relatively small console base. The moment the ABK deal was closed, the fate of the console was sealed.
I can’t remember the last time I saw a game priced at £70 that isn’t a Sony first party game, new Xbox games that I’ve seen are usually £60 or even less, even Black Ops 6 was only £57.99 at launch

It's a no brainer for Xbox to bring everything over because they're about half of the consoles sold in comparison to the PS5 even though they have a cheaper option that is likely 65% of the Series console sales overall. Game Pass is not sustainable because most Xbox gamers feel entitled now and no longer purchase physical or digital games anymore. Every game store I go into I'll ask the employee what the ratio of Xbox to the other platforms in sales and many say it's 1 Xbox game to every 10 PlayStation game and some even said up to 20 for the Switch. Many also stated that they no longer purchase Xbox Ones or Series S/X games because they just sit there. As for FFVII Remake coming to Xbox, we already knew it was and originally was supposed to be only a year. How long has it been? Oh ya, 5 years.

I mean hell, I already saw xbox on the verge of collapse back when gamepass was pushed so hard and all xbox games became available on pc, but I saw another 3 or so consoles before that. Nope, that's just wishful thinking from another armchair fanboy. PS5 is outselling Series consoles 2.3 to 1, this is true, but it's not enough to put them of business. In case you didn't know already, Microsoft has endless amounts of cash and Sony doesn't. That's why Sony charges more for their products and does shady, 12 month exclusivity deals with third-party studios to try and stay relevant. All of the best selling games on PS5 are third-party games as well as Call of Duty which sold over 500 million in its first week, because PS users don't bother to actually buy first-party games. It's the same reason you're seeing games like Spider-Man and Horizon Forbidden West go straight to PS Plus. 9 cancelled games also isn't a good look, so if that's what you call "winning" then you certainly have a funny way of looking at.
I mean, if their plan to domiate 3rd party looks like the one they tried to dominate the console market, they clearly are going to fail again. They need to make good games, consistently and continuously. I mean, maybe if they target the phone market where quality is abysmal they could do something with their sad efforts so far, but it is just incredible they just can't see what separates them from the most successful gaming devs/publishers out there.

I Just don't understand people. If you're a gamer, you should just be happy other people get to play the games you love. When Monster Hunter went to Nintendo, I was happy for Nintendo people and is a big reason I kept buying Nintendo systems. And now the series is releasing on everything it can and I couldn't be happier. I played Gears 1-3 on Xbox 360 and it would be fun to play them again on Playstation.. Hell, I'll pronably get what's available on PC, I already got Gears Tactics.
As a playstation fan, I think this is the dumbest move xbox can do as it's essentially the final nail in xbox's coffin. Like cool, I'll get to play these games on playstation and switch 2, BUT that in turn makes buying an xbox pointless, which as many more people are gonna reveal, will lead to microsoft losing so much revenue on future consoles that they may not want to fund any future console development (honestly, that seems to be the case already).
A lot will depend on where your back catalogue sits. Mine is on PlayStation, but I have own Xbox also. For me it’s becoming Sony’s to lose, but the concern is keeping consoles relevant for younger generations. They need to keep topping up the install base
If this is true, then Sarah bond and spencer need to GO ASAP!!!! Since their inception the xbox brand has been stymied and tarnished with no TRUE exclusives to the consoles and now with way behind series x and the release of the current gen leading ps5 pro powerhouse albeit huge cost. Sony and PS are able to work more synergistically because they have a lot of in house resources that Sega didn't and that MS doesn't either. MS has money sure, but that will only get them so far, as testament by their current position. And there is no benefit to PS if they also went full day and date on PC like MS has. It would only hurt them, and until the PS console stops being the focus and profitable like it is now, they won't be going full out on PC like MS is.
Where are playstation exclusives at? Most of playstation games are third party timed exclusives and live service games now and going forward. Xbox has way more exclusives coming than playstation by a mile. Some will be exclusive, some will be timed, some will be multiplat and all will be on gamepass day one. With the ps5 pro barely showing any difference in games at a $200. Premium. The next xbox, launching next year will have next gen versions of every game and will easily be the best place to play hands down next year going forward. There is far more reason to buy an xbox than a playstation going forward.

This is basically it. I mean hell, I already saw xbox on the verge of collapse back when gamepass was pushed so hard and all xbox games became available on pc, but I saw another 3 or so consoles before that. With this, I wouldn't be surprised if the announcement for that new console is nothing more than Xbox trying to save face and that the Series X may secretly be the final xbox console.
Nope, that's just wishful thinking from another armchair fanboy. PS5 is outselling Series consoles 2.3 to 1, this is true, but it's not enough to put them of business. In case you didn't know already, Microsoft has endless amounts of cash and Sony doesn't. That's why Sony charges more for their products and does shady, 12 month exclusivity deals with third-party studios to try and stay relevant. All of the best selling games on PS5 are third-party games as well as Call of Duty which sold over 500 million in its first week, because PS users don't bother to actually buy first-party games. It's the same reason you're seeing games like Spider-Man and Horizon Forbidden West go straight to PS Plus. 9 cancelled games also isn't a good look, so if that's what you call "winning" then you certainly have a funny way of looking at.
I mean, if their plan to domiate 3rd party looks like the one they tried to dominate the console market, they clearly are going to fail again. They need to make good games, consistently and continuously. I mean, maybe if they target the phone market where quality is abysmal they could do something with their sad efforts so far, but it is just incredible they just can't see what separates them from the most successful gaming devs/publishers out there.

@@craigsampson3386 With Sega though, we saw them go third party after the fact, not while they still had consoles alive and kicking. The fact xbox may very well do this while still trying to sell their own consoles is so dumb and is them essentially admitting that buying an xbox is no longer a good idea.

That's cool to hear but I'm enjoying my Xbox series X. Started back this morning on my ps5 playing ghostwire Tokyo. Trying to finish that game up. Anyway I can play those games now on Xbox. People in general are friggin weird when it comes to gaming. I stay out of the community on that!

When Monster Hunter went to Nintendo, I was happy for Nintendo people and is a big reason I kept buying Nintendo systems. And now the series is releasing on everything it can and I couldn't be happier.
I played Gears 1-3 on Xbox 360 and it would be fun to play them again on Playstation.. Hell, I'll pronably get what's available on PC, I already got Gears Tactics.
As a playstation fan, I think this is the dumbest move xbox can do as it's essentially the final nail in xbox's coffin. Like cool, I'll get to play these games on playstation and switch 2, BUT that in turn makes buying an xbox pointless, which as many more people are gonna reveal, will lead to microsoft losing so much revenue on future consoles that they may not want to fund any future console development (honestly, that seems to be the case already).

A lot will depend on where your back catalogue sits. Mine is on PlayStation, but I have own Xbox also.
For me it’s becoming Sony’s to lose, but the concern is keeping consoles relevant for younger generations. They need to keep topping up the install base
If this is true, then Sarah bond and spencer need to GO ASAP!!!! Since their inception the xbox brand has been stymied and tarnished with no TRUE exclusives to the consoles and now with way behind series x and the release of the current gen leading ps5 pro powerhouse albeit huge cost. XBOX is in the hands of its own self-suicide group and has been for the last rough 8 years.
Exclusives are dead which in my opinion is great for gamers . I have both Xbox X and the pro and if it saves me money I’m all for it. I just want to play good games
I may as well sell my series X at this rate, the only games I’m keeping it for are Elder scrolls 6, Fable and Forza, if they go multi platform I’m done (and I’d put the money to the switch 2!)
So one company gives you game after game as long as you are subscribed to gamepass for $20 a month, the other companies will get the same games but you'll have to pay full price for them and that makes you say hmmmmm, I think i'd rather pay full price?. make that make sense to me please

Like if you only play RPGs do you care about CoD or Forza or Halo etc? No. If you only play CoD why pay over $200 to play CoD for a yr when you can buy it for $70? Make that make sense

@@nobaccosin 95 when they released PlayStation which stole Saturns lunch, and after that it’s been a slow decline, similar to what we’re seeing now with Xbox, which inevitably lead to the Dreamcast being their final console and they went 3rd party like MS is going now.
The parallels are undeniable, especially if you loved through the era where the big 3 were Nintendo, Sega and PlayStation.

@@aeolussvichi7680 you say that but you have to remember that Sony has just way too much support, the movie industry, the music industry, they can make hardware, software, they have just sooo much support it's unreal. When the ps1 hit the shelfs it really was a done deal from then. All xbox had to do was just make there games. Im 52 trust me I know. The pc is all so in trouble. If Sony gose full on there it's over for them too. Sonys new pssr is just a eatly testament to that.

Sony and PS are able to work more synergistically because they have a lot of in house resources that Sega didn't and that MS doesn't either. MS has money sure, but that will only get them so far, as testament by their current position.
And there is no benefit to PS if they also went full day and date on PC like MS has. It would only hurt them, and until the PS console stops being the focus and profitable like it is now, they won't be going full out on PC like MS is.
Gears of War hasn't been confirmed to come to PlayStation. This is nothing more than a rumour and a poor one at that.

Most of playstation games are third party timed exclusives and live service games now and going forward.
Xbox has way more exclusives coming than playstation by a mile. Some will be exclusive, some will be timed, some will be multiplat and all will be on gamepass day one.
With the ps5 pro barely showing any difference in games at a $200. Premium.
The next xbox, launching next year will have next gen versions of every game and will easily be the best place to play hands down next year going forward. There is far more reason to buy an xbox than a playstation going forward.

Sony is a third-party publisher as well and their over reliance on third-party to fill their lineup is catching up with them. Square, Sega an tecmo have all abandoned ps exclusivity.
So, with that weak first-party lineup with mostly live service games that will go everywhere. Padded with unneeded remasters and remakes. And all major AAA Japanese devs abandoning ps exclusivity. The games players really want from Playstation is few and far between.
Xbox is clearly the better choice!
