- In this video, we will see the actual API testing with a tool called Postman. Postman is a tool used for performing REST web services API testing. This video will cover GET and POST video alone. Because I have been interrupted during recording. So the next video will cover, PUT and DELETE example.

Hi Brother.
The post request to create users should give 201 created response.
In the body you didn't change the type from text to JSON. To get correct response you have to change the body type to JSON.

Hi Arul, When i try to access dummy.restapi url in postman and try to view the body in json it says it cant beautify.and it only shows in html sort of..why so ? Am i missing something here ?
In the video, was it working? May be they have modified the response as HTML alone.

If you finish my REST API series, you are almost done. If you are familiar with GET, POST,PUT and DELETE manually that's enough. Try to automate the API calls without any third party libraries first, then master the mostly used libraries like, Unirest and Rest Assured. There are no specific prerequisites.

Is it necessary to learn JS to write test scripts in post man? Or as u said can we refer from the official website?
How it will work in real IT COMPANIES
It's a mix of both. If you are comfortable you will prefer writing scripts. Else you can simply use it from the snippets.
What are all the other languages to write test cases in Postman other than javascript
In postman we can only use JavaScript I think

For postman, Javascript is the built in option to wrote test cases within postman itself. Refer postman and rest assured Playlist, you Will understand

Which one you need to learn for your interview preparation? Give more priority to that. Postman will not take much time compared to appium.
