This guy looks like the forbidden love child between a regular predator and the Shredder from TMNT, in a cool way.
This one always struck me more as a Jason or Casey Jones Predator. Check out the Enforcer Predator if you want to see Predator that looks like Shredder.
You would be correct, sir. Horn head Predator first appeared in 'Fire and stone'. Excellent looking finger. Kind of wish that NECA would bring back their 1/4 scale Predator figures.

He fights the ahab predator in the comic so it would go well with him.
Looks awesome. But Neca seriously need to fix the hips!! Every Predator I've bought gets really loose over time, like can't stand loose. But for $25 I get over it. Good video 👍🏼

I've pre-ordered Broken Tusk and Machiko from this wave but not this hornhead guy. Kinda regret that now.

The AVP waves are also my favorites. Usually i prefer the comic versions of characters-(marvel legends, ect)- but these are the rare exception. Horn heads pretty ok though

Awsome Action Figure review
I picked up all 3 of the Series 18 Preds,This is a kool figure but he's unfortunately my least favorite figure in the set,followed by Machiko then my personal favorite...Broken Tusk!
Anyone of these is most definitely worst theirs price tags but if you only have enough for one of them I'd recommend Broken Tusk.
I think I missed this one at my Target, but I haven't read/seen the source that he's from anyway, so, oh well. Great review.
I got the figure it’s my fist predator figure and it’s so awesome.
I can't imagine Youngblood High being kind for this particular Yautja.

Though I must admit that the Hornhead Predator is a great figure, I would have preferred a Shorty figure instead. Seeing how Machiko and Broken Tusk are both from the AVP comics, why not complete it with Shorty as the third figure? It would have made much more sense honestly.

We've been waiting for this wave for I think over a year. This wave and some of their single figures and two packs ran into licensing issues with Dark Horse.

I just got this whole wave and had to use a hair dryer on all of them to loosen up the joints. Just seems like the are assembling them before all the paint and clear coat is dried and cured. Sweet figs though.
maybe but there is no clear coat on the figure. it could be paint but it's most likely just the plastic getting stuck. marvel legends of no paint on them and they get stick all the time. it comes with the types of joints being used. no good way around it for mass production
@@AnthonysCustoms maybe not clear coat, could be the wash. I know my broken tusk i had to pull one of the forearms off just to get the swivel to work. Looked like a lot of wash inside that joint but i guess it could be something with the plastic. Either way, it doesn't really harm the figure as long as you break them free before trying to pose.
Fine review. Anthony, can you turn the bicep joints on the upper arms 360-degrees?
I guess, it does, but I am not sure.
I am asking because I own that figure, but I am an „in-box“ collector, and I normally do not take my figures out.
On mine still inside the unopened blister box, I discovered that the left arm is turned back roughly 180-degrees on the upper joint, with the bicep facing rearward. If the bicep joint does not turn all the way around or at least 180-degrees clockwise, then the left arm was not assembled correctly to the figure.
It did not occur to me when I first got it, but after having heard about bootlegs, knockoffs, fakes, incorrectly assembled figures and so on, I took a closer look at my still-modest collection yesterday and the saw that.

It should but you can tell if it's wrong by the sculpt and paint probably
Thanks a lot , Anthony, for your kind response. It is hard to tell, whether my figure is original or a fake.
Unless it is a light distortion, the „cheeks“ or jaw left and right before the mandibles on mine are painted partially in a darker brown than that on your figure. It does not look like sand color as yours but rather similar to the crest on his upper head. Sides of his cheeks/jaws are relatively glossy. Whether any or either one is a clear takeaway of a bootleg I honestly cannot tell.
Otherwise, head sculpt does not look bad and neither does the remaining paint job. I understand that it is almost impossible to tell, as often the fake figures come right from the same factory as the original ones... What we serious figure collectors would need would be clear, secure und unmistakable means or symbol of authenticity by NECA. Difficult enough to do, as that certainly will be imitated just as well by unscrupulous people. I don‘t know what it could be...
My personal worries are not unfounded, as I have already located one fake T-800 Terminator figure with M134 Minigun (from the Cyberdyne scene in the movie) within my still young and modest NECA collection. My favorite genres are Terminator, Aliens and, of course, Predator. This fake T-800 was actually the very first figure I got (without me knowing about the existence of so many fake figures), which then started my collection.I didn‘t get it from China either but rather from a domestic online toy dealer. Possibly, I even have other fake figures bought by pure mistake and unintentional ignorance. I know for sure that this particular T-800 IS a fake, as I watched a comparison video by another TH-camr, and my fake figure shares all the „negative“ treats as that of the figure shown and explained in the video. I also own a second one of same figure, but luckily it is an authentic one, as I wanted one for displaying, another one as a dedicated collector’s piece for keeping in the box. Normally, I do not buy two figures, but this is my personal favorite figure of Arnie. The fake figure did cost me roughly 1/3 less than the authentic one I bought some time later from some other source (cause this dealer had it), but still was not inexpensive. I genuinely thought I own two of the same before I knew about such bootlegs, fakes, knockoffs and incorrectly assembled figures. I am not totally disillusioned because the fake T-800 figure really ain‘t all that bad after all. Certainly good enough for display purposes. I just happen that I genuinely HATE anything fake or bootleg, and I especially hate spending hard earned cash on such unauthorized stuff. Here, we are talking about a „luxurious“ hobby and not bare essentials. While it is questionable and open for debate whether such collectors toy will ever be worth much or something in the future, authentic products surely have a better chance of success than bootlegs.

If you bought it from a trustworthy place, you shouldn't worry. There is some variance in production.

The AVP series is still my favorite because of the films. I think I'll pass on these. It has been along time since I read the comics but I did buy the Ahab Predator. He'll fit right in with the AVP figs.
Anthony, i have a serious doubt: i'm starting my sh figuarts dbz collection right now and i only have goku normal version 2.0...And i'm looking forward to buy another figure, but i can only find 3 figures with a good price here in my country: the new Super Saiyan vegeta, Goku Super Saiyan 3 2.0 and Vegeta Scouter 2.0. Which one do you think is better?

Anyone had any QC issues with this cos i certainly have I’ve had the left wrist break because the paint on the wrist joint has stuck onto the wrist gauntlet ports and it snapped off and then got a replacement from the shop I bought it from and that one too broke at the wrist!!!

AnthonysCustoms I remember on the 80s TV show V, the lizard ppl were ambidextrous. So maybe the predator shoulder/SITS muscles dislocates/has extended range of motion (helps with combat)... yeah I rationalized it.😉😉😉 The figure looks awesome. Keep up the great toy reviews!👍👍👍

Couldn't he just grab the sword with his left hand? Last I checked humanoid creatures like the Yautja are able to grab across their shoulder if needed.
You'd never be able to draw a sword in that manner.
