- The New Spiral Abyss was pretty hard in Genshin Impact 2.4. I think the easiest way to get all 36 stars is to make teams that dominate each floor one at a time. Making one for all three is too difficult!

This was the first abyss in a very long time that I had to undo my meta teams and go back in with weird jank teams custom built to beat specific chambers. Things are rough out there.

Had to give homa to rosaria, ran healer mona with prototype amber, ran bennet, childe, xq and hutao in one team just to barely clear 12-1 haha! Ngl it was fun
Raiden national or Childe international can cheese first half tho and on second half can cheese by Ayaka new freeze team variant (Ayaka, Shenhe, Kazuha, Kokomi)

your clear of 12-1 was how close mine was as well, you using mona and me using childe to break that pyro herald shield. I actually had to 3 star 12-2 and 12-3 first before racking my brain in 12-1. also being on mobile and the PMA spawning after 30 seconds after starting SUUUUkCS! but the challenge is always welcome!
Yea the spawn time is literally what made me have to restart multiple times. I play on ps4 and every time a wave of enemies spawn it’s like 5 seconds of nothing.
This abyss is the hard one for me, I need to change teams 4 times but finally did 36*, I guess is because my characters are more focused on AoE and not single target
@@lilgrozzy197 i have the same problem on pc, u just need to open the wish page as fast as u can and wait a few seconds, the monsters will spawn while ur waiting
This abyss was weird. 12-3 was the easiest and 12-1 was the hardest by far.

I SAW IT! it's happening to a lot of people. At 00:43 when you swap, there's a delay on using attacks and you just end up standing there. I just assumed it was my console but it's not, pls report if you have this
I stopped at 35 this go around. I was raging so hard at the flame lector Ahole that by the time I beat 12-3 I was in too bad a mood to reset to characters that would do 12-3 better, but would be worse in 12-1 and 2. 50 primos aren't worth hating the game for a week.
So true my dude. I have done 34 stars for like 2 months now cuz it would just be too much of a headache for me to push for those extra 50 primos.

I almost always just play it through once with random teams and maybe once more with less random ones. 27* life :D
after u complete the floor and the 12-3 being 3 stars u can do the others and then close it bc u dont have to complete the floor over and over again to get 3 stars in chambers lower than the third one

Mihoyo *REALLY* needs to chill with the HP scaling. 3.2M dps check for 12-3 is not fun.

I managed to beat it with a phys rosaria + 4* weapon and a yoimiya in the other team...just play towards the moon buff and you should have no problem.

Through this abyss I've learnt that xiangling is easily more viable than yoimiya and diluc with even a lower investment

Mtashed having such a cracked team and then despite that still barely making it. It's ridiculous. Abyss is a total DPS check and it just keeps getting worse.
In one week I'll finally have Ganyu (I have a pretty amazing set ready for her) who will make some things a lot easier for me, too but I still highly doubt that I can 3star any chamber of floor 12. And probably won't bother to try anyway, because the Abyss keeps getting more and more frustrating and I rather do things that are ... you know, fun!
he hv below avg account for f2p just coz he lacks variety, I am a welkins players so ill not mention my clear(which was much easier than him btw with no 5 star weapon) but my f2p friends hv much easier time clearing 1st half with raiden national or hutao and 2nd half with ayaka team and they dont even hv 5 star weapons. Infact my one friend cleared 1st half with yoimiya r3 rust (beido fishl bennett) easier than him. So just dont take his account as reference just coz he hv 5 star weapons.
if you want to play meta , hv meta units and variety first and his account is not a good example of f2p, his homa , zhongli c1 and jade cutter is just a waste rn.
@@Phoenix-il5hc I know that team comps can make a lot of difference depending on the challenge at hand, but it still says a lot about the state of the Abyss when even his totally cracked characters are barely making it at times. I've got nothing against a good challenge, but when I look at the Abyss, IMO it's designed to give you frustration - it's definitely not a fun thing to do for me. And still it's the only lategame content Genshin has to this day... which is sad.
@@-Getsuga- tthat is rue :(. i stopped playing for meta long ago for similar reason. i just clearing abyss with full stars coz i am a veteran player and i am already maxed out with good units but i can see frustration of new players .. abyss feels like a trap than a challenge to promote current banners tbh.. But that said , from meta perspective he do lacks variety and his decision making is terrible for an f2p. My all friends hv better f2p account than him coz they hv meta units to keep up with content.

As a geo main, that is exactly what I was forced to do. I got the 9 stars with 4 different teams and 2 restarts
I am amazed by the detail in the Magu Kenki shield's eye it is something u can't see on mobile
I 9 starred floor 12 of the last abyss in the first try. This one tho... took me a good couple hours of changing up team comps to 9 star it.
On their own, they are not hard, but those shields go down so slow... Not good for fights where you need to kill them fast like the Spiral.
Thunder manifestation is one of the most frustrating bosses in my opinion. Moves WAY too much

Those Hydro mimics are such a pain.......beidou and Xiangling carried me through that........but the thing is that those mimics comes in waves and in some cases i run out of bursts 😂........but Beidou ult is so great just activate it and see lightning jump between hydro mimics and deleting them 😂
I finally beated F12
Usually I couldn't even touch it and would end up in F11 3 stars on every chamber except the last one
This time was my first time ever that I beated F12 (not 9 stars though)

2nd Chamber- 2 stars
3rd chamber- no stars at all.
i started floor 12 thinking i could actually beat it, but after getting down to 1 star of chamber 1 and 2 i kinda gave up and just played to finish it, idk what mihoyo is trying to do with such high difficulty

This abyss felt more annoying than previous one but still 36*d it with Raiden national and Xiao
in my oppinion this one was alot easier than the last 2 ones. the hardest parts where floor 11 2 and 11 3 and then 12 1 imo. i just swapped teams after chamber 2 so yeah i see what you mean but its quite easy to just run through again
as a f2p who started after few months and having bad luck at artifacts, i have to say even floor 11 is starting to get a little harder, floor 12 is a bit too much @_@
a few months ago and bad luck at artifacts. You lucky to get 1 good artifact set per month using all you resin, so yeah
2nd half of chamber 1 and chamber 3 of floor 11 can be a little bit tricky but nonetheless still not an worrying issue. Floor 12 however, is another story.
my c1 hu tao and c2 albedo actually carried me in this abyss. the bosses were a cakewalk for hu tao

went for the Staff of Homa instead of Hu tao's c1, and GOOD LORD- I had a lot of trouble managing my stamina to spam her charged attacks, especially with the Thunder manifestation fleeing to the corners of the battlefield every few seconds.
@@rurue-hf6nu yeah thats what i like about her c1 the most tbh. more mobility and more s/dodging. i did the 2nd half of floor 12 with no healer or shielder (HT albedo XQ raiden) and the c1 helped me dodge a lot. my zhongli was on my melt ganyu side and it didnt occur to me to bring diona until it was too late lol

My account's weakness is 12-2. I can only 2 star it. My only built cryo is a diona support. My chongyun, kaeya and rosaria are only level lvl 50.
Try get chongyun to 60 and put an er timepiece, flower and weapon on him, hell even lvl 50 is enough since you are using him just for his cryo infusion, I used xiao kokomi chongyun and zhongli for that half and managed to 3* it in a couple tries
If you got xq, you should try using him+diona+chongyun (doesn't need to be built, just slap a sacrificial greatsword on him for good E uptime if you have)+any fast melee attacker, xiangling for example. Once they are in their shield phase, damage no longer matters, you only need good cryo application
Thank you brothers. I managed to 3 star chamber 2 with a level 50 chongyun. I used Diona, kazuha, mona and chongyun for the 2nd half. If it was impossible I think i will have to pull for ganyu.

I gave up on abyss because they had water mimics and no attacks that can hut them
They were quite problematic for me too because i usually deal with those with beidou/fischl but then these two become useless on the following chamber cause the boss is electro immune. So I used rosaria, her E actually hits the flying mimics. Hope that helps

The new ruin guard variants are so cancerous in the open world I can't imagine facing then sub optimal in abyss
Btw. you don't need Cryo for hydro lector, one electro and one anemo is enough for 12-2-2. I use Xiao and Raiden and it's fast.
Personally, I think it's stupid that catalyst users have ICD on their normal attacks.
Yanfei has no Icd on charged.

I just barely completed this Floor 12 in one run, but with many, many retries. Even my most perfect runs I was getting it at the very last second, it's crazy.
It took me 3 separate runs, but once I switched to the proper team, I completed it with plenty of time to spare

How in the fuck did he burn that Mechanical Array down so quick? I threw my heaviest hitters at that damned thing and I could barely make a dent! It literally took me 9 minutes and 45 seconds to beat it! I only had 15 seconds left for the second room! I gave up.

I 36 starred this abyss and had a ton of fun doing so. It felt like I actually had to come up with team comps for each chamber, and I actually had to think a little. Pretty enjoyable overall

Even against a lineup that’s not ideal for, a strong permafreeze team can handle the whole second part. Cryo easily takes down hydro abyss heralds, hydro do the the same with the chad pyro lector Enjou. Against Maguu then take a VV anemo unit to decrease his cryo res and just keep beatin him. Use National variations (Raiden National, Childe) or anything that can reach high raw and consistent damage for the first half. Edit: last chamber is the easiest one.
This Abyss for me is one of the least enjoyable in ages, no AoE, no tactics required, just big and loaded with HP tanks sponges. DPS check, element check for shields. Probably easier to close than the previous one, probably harder to 36, especially for F2P or rookies.
I actually found this one so fun.
Abyys heralds are so fun and a enemy with tactic and even if its simple I like it.
No annoying wolfs with RNG dodges even if its higher dps which was obvious mihoyo makes ever abyss more dps than last one :(
For me it was a lot more of fun than the previous ones since they didn't really have any real strategy in them more than the 3 maguu kenkis that requiered a bit of AoE, there were only wolves than couldn't be grouped with Sacarosa and for some reason they break out of freeze so fast while teleporting so far away of any ult that it wasn't fun at all. (This is only a problem with the big wolves, puppies are good xd)
I could have gotten 36* for the first time since that abyss arrived but it wasn't worth it because those big wolves really need to be reworked, imo i had a lot more of fun with the new abyss because it was the first big DPS check without shitty mobs in a long time by now so i could actually check how much my dmg has increased

Using Raiden Nat'l to smoke the first halves of floor 12, but my B team struggles big time on the 2nd halves (no Ayaka or Ganyu).
These hp pools are really rough floor 12 is a lot tougher than the previous one.
Its more dps.
But less annoying because no RNG wolfs.
Hard for F2P beginners but easy for veterans
The only reason it felt kinda easy for u on the second floor was merely because of ganyu. Get her out of the team and savor the pain of not being able to permafreeza ur enemy.
Kaeya-Chongyun will still do the work.
And if they have a character that'll do the chamber faster? Why work harder instead of smarter?

I had to use 3 teams for this one, but with specific teams it wasn't that bad. I couldn't kill Kenki with Ganyu he was always teleporting from 1 side on the chamber to another multiple times.
I did use similar teams except I have Hu Tao not Diluc. And i did Kenki with Hu tao team.
That two hydro lectors is worst than triple kenki.. I don't have a good freeze team. But why am I stressing out when I can't even clear floor 11 lol
Thought this abyss was going to give me hell but was really easy, especially the last chamber 3 from floor 12, single opponents are just so easy to beat

My level is too low and it takes a ton load of resources to lvl up Characters as a light spender…. I find that a lil annoying and Paywall’ish….. not saying it can’t be done but it takes a loooooong time to Max out yr Characters

Saw the title of this vid and can relate. I’m not a good player like you, I play on my phone. Genshin is making me do fights I can’t win before I can do achievements like tasks in the teapot. I have the battle pass but can’t do the tasks. I want to rage quit. Any suggestions?
What tasks? If you are below ar 45 and struggling on anything you're probably not doing one of the following :
1. Leveling your weapons
2. Leveling your talents
3. Using correct artifact main stats and leveling them
You are right. I keep running out of mora. I think drops are tied to how quickly fights are done. Since I’m on a phone, my fights are slower as well.

Mtashed double-crowned his Xingqiu. If I remember correctly, that’s why Xingqiu hits pretty hard.
Currently at level 12 for his burst with an emblem set and 125 crit damage. Most ive hit is 8k per sword, on average i hit 5k per sword

Yeah…1st day I ended up with 6 stars on Floor 12. Had to redo 12-3 with a completely different team to 9 star it.
It is such bs that the abyss keeps getting harder yet the rewards stay the same. This is why I stopped playing this game it just isn't rewarding and doesn't feel good to play.
Well, first of all abyss is optional so NOT must clear. Genshin impact is not all about damage, it has story, adventures and many other stuff. Spiral abyss is just part of Genshin Impact content
