If you are a day 1 player like me, i don't know, it seems natural.
Almost all my characters have their own sets atm
I feel like the only one to still have never been able to 36 star abyss, floor 12 has always been 1 star each chamber.
Yep, that is why i build many DPS characters like tao, ganyu, noelle, XL, beidou. DPS that focused on different playstyle will make us have variations for team comp. So, if we got bored with one playstyle, just use others

@@novaxlii901 we all feel that way at higher AR's if we can't do it, it took me awhile too, but you can get it done by both building units better and learning how to play better (which unfortunately comes from failing over and over till your rotations get tighter)
People are overhyping floor 12-2 because of the 3 maguu kenki, I say that's the easiest floor currently.The real demon is floor 12-3 and it's wolfs, if it weren't for good rng on buffs(got 2 crit rate/dmg increase) I wouldn't have been able to 3 star it.

Yep agree. Any amount of grouping destroys these Maguu Kenkis more than the single Maguu Kenki on previous rotations. Only potential issue is their weird desynced combo attacks that are hard to dodge. But it's not that big of a deal with a good healer or shielder.
i think most of the ppl already found out that the 3x maguu kenki is just a shock factor
the problem with the dogs is their absurd mobility, fly+phase walls+teleport
@@dontthrow6064 my biggest issue with the dogs are they sometimes stop following/attacking all together and that waste SO much fking time, while I am busy killing one dog for almost 20 second I wonder were the other dog is and it's just chilling on the other side of map. Also their Iframes are ridiculous, why do regular mob enemies need to have s!!
i mean, 12-2 is a joke if you have zhongli. Otherwise, if your not careful, you can easily get one shot.
I started playing on zhongli's rerun, and i've been able to get 35 Star on the abyss since before Inazuma realeased, when there were 2 geovishaps on the first chamber of floor 12, and i've been able to get 36 stars since that abyss with the mechanical array, and i must say that when i see videos of the old abyss where you only had to fight pyro agents and cicin mages on floor 12, i understand why it's getting harder, if they put something like that now, i would destroy that shit in mere seconds lol

i started playing at the end of kazuha banner, my highest is 30 stars. all character at lv 70-80
same been playing since kazuha banner, but i can only get like 1 star each room on floor 11, my artifacts luck has been complete trash, been farming emblem since it came out n the best piece I have is a feather with 3cr and 18crdmg, who can be more unlucky, just tell me

I only managed to get 33 stars this time mostly because I got Itto and Gorou, but I still kinda dislike this version of the Abyss, especially with the stupid Rifthounds that has ridiculous amount of HP, but fighting three Maguu Kenkis with my Raiden team was actually fun though so I'll give it that. ^ ^
It's not the HP. They just run away non stop. If they would just sit moderately close to us it would be alot easier.

The fact that they teleport out of bound if the abyss sometimes and each of them have almost 1 million ho makes me incredibly sad. Freeze teams helped a lot for getting 36 tho
I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one struggling to complete the last floor. I had your same freeze comp but with Ayaka instead of Ganyu for the first half. Second half was Raiden national team, which is just broken good. No matter what I did, I couldn't finish in time. Then I swapped out a well built Mona for a very poorly built Kokomi running Thrilling Tails and ToM. It shaved 20 seconds off my time, just because Kokomi is such a better freeze applicator when compared to Mona. I would have never guessed it would be that huge, but it really was.

If even an account with a R3 Amos Bow Ganyu and a Wolf's Gravestone Diluc are struggling, REAL f2ps have no chance.

Hey mtashed, haven't watched you in over a year, as I used to play destiny but quit when beyond light dropped, and I see you do genshin now. Just wanted to say I'm glad you seem to be doing well man, you were always my favorite TH-camr when it came to destiny videos, I was always looking forward to your next video. The problem I have with the abyss, is that instead of focusing on combat puzzle and how to solve it, the game(for the most part) wants you to focus on how much damage you can deal which is meh.

Facts. Abyss heralds are a really good example of combat puzzles where there is equal balance between damage and shield breaking (which even cheap and under-invested characters can do with skill). The rifthounds do have a unique mechanic that favours electro and geo DPS, but they also have a lot of unnecessary rng like excessive dodging and other bullshit
I dont mind the abyss being abyss...
but we need more game modes
You should attempt not to start your rotation with Kazuha , first proc 2 elements (if possible) then swirl , you're missing a lot of potential damage earlier in your rotation by swirling nothing
id assume he uses kazuha to group enemies though

If I have to chose between Kazuha or Ayaka my mind is already made up, Ayaka for a great melt team set up, Kazuha is just more fun then I expected
There is one thing fans should know about abyss if ur doing full star till 11 floor n no star on 12 be happy ,for just more 150 primogems dont spend thousand of gems for character that will help u to get this 150 primos only thats likely 300 gems per month its lot less in 10 month its 3000 u wont even recover the primogems u spend for this floor to get clear even in 3 years lol......
The wolves really invalidate a lot of teams that don't have very strong mobility and/or easy to land, wide AoE. If they slip the freeze in that Ganyu comp, it's really frustrating trying to hit them again as they teleport around the room. When the abyss only really benefits off meta comps with this obvious Itto/Noelle (and less obviously Raiden) leyline you start to have problems with only having 2 teams. I feel like after one year it's not enough to just rely on Ganyu and Diluc, picking up a 3rd dps would be big, if nothing else it could let you run a national comp if you don't have Diluc monopolising Bennett and Xingqiu.
Having said that, it speaks to the strength of your account that you can ignore the leyline AND not bring Electro and/or Geo DPS for the wolves and still 36 star without too much trouble.
I tried to bring my newly built Eula into the Abyss and could not get any stacks while the wolves were breakdancing around
if he had taken Shogun, his account would be much better... National Raiden is the best Team in the game right now.

I got 36 stars last time because I was lucky the wolf didn't moved that much and both times I hit them with full stacks. But still wolfs are so annoying.
@@hootels1770 Yeah, it was weird going from 36 starring the last abysses then back to 33 with this one bc I'm not dealing with the mountains of RNG I need to align for my current Eula build to get the job done. I was planning to build Kaeya and Rosaria anyway, but I'm gonna fast track finally trying a freeze team bc I've never built one.

this is what i happened to struggling with freaking floor 12 chamber 3. freaking wolves are always dodged my bursts, like many times.
What I hate is when they dissapear and you just have to wait for them to come back.
What he said about the wolves is so right, I was only losing time due to them wandering around the map, had to retry many times just for good rng, they dont even like to be taunted either.
Glad I am not the only one who struggled with that last room.
I reseted that shit 50+ times at least before I beat it, and I had to restart the floor twice to change the artifs/weapons of my characters.
Love watching people do Abyss. I'm having fun with this one, although the design of the wolves is kinda .. sussy baka .. kek. There is literally 1 full minute between my worst and best runs on 12-3 just because of wolf positioning and janked hitboxes. Hopefully Mihoyo at least partly fixes these.
I'm probably going for Kazuha rerun and wonder if I can actually comfortably use Ganyu dps then. I've always used her as support mainly for Ayaka.
The other day I had some fun and did 36 stars with 4 different maindps teams - Ayaka, Raiden/Eula, HuTao, Ganyu - and while I managed, Ganyu was by far the hardest one even though I have 50 200 Wanderer build. Though the HuTao team was pretty hard too. Thing is my Xiangling is not useable and I don't have Kazuha for a good Freeze team either. I feel these days Ganyu heavily requires at least some top support. I managed with Ganyu Bennet Jean Diona but was struggling hard with energy recharge across the team, and the windows in that rotation where you can do relevant charge attack damage are quite short.
For those who played from the beginning. Was spiral always a dps check like that or was it an actual fun challenge to do

He should, it's a nice upgrade, although i would understand if he doesn't like xiangling, i have both of them on a lvl where they can destroy the abyss but diluc just feels more satisfaying to play with tbh

What a team you have! Me, I've got like a team and a half lol... Beidou, Mona, Diluc and Diona... The other team being Yanfei, Ninguang, Rosaria and Xingqui.. Sometimes I add Noelle too... All of them at C1... They get me to floor 10-3.. Never got further than that..

Yeah, had to try a few times with my Noelle DPS team for the 36*. Was off 5-15 seconds.

It all depends on your characters being invested, I quit genshin for almost a month now and visited it recently to try the new enemy line up of abyss, to my surprise there was nothing new about it because I used the same team that I have been using since 2.0 meaning there's no difficulty change. I have 2 teams fully invested and I consider myself as an average player when It comes to doing competitive stuff
yeah, i trying to build up my team and i can currently breeze through floor 9 and 10 but it starts getting harder during floor 11
the teams i use is Childe vape and a very scuffed Ayaka freeze (Ayaka, Xingqiu, Raiden, Barbara). i got Mona recently so now i would be able to play Raiden national but i still haven't gotten Diona yet 😹😭

The Wolfes A.I is just broken, they sometimes just look at you from afar doing nothing, fix this shit mihoyo.
And sometimes they become helicopter and don't stop for even a second.

I honestly hate the artifacts system. I have to either burn myself out of the game and only use 8-10 characters so i can get amazing artifacts. Or i can have fun playing with different teams, and just only get 27-33 stars depending on the abyss buff and enemies.
I also run ganyu and diluc as main dps for my teams. Ganyu melt and diluc vape, it's more than enough to beat abyss full stars. Ganyu, sayu, xiangling, amber for first half, diluc, sucrose, xingqui, bennett for second half. Still so strong after a year, nuts imo. You dont need geo or electro for the wolfs, leyline almost never helps anyways.

Just a tip though, i wasn’t able to get both anemo boys so i just used Sucrose, 3 stars it every time :)
It's not necessary, I use unbuilt level 20 Sucrose with NO Artifacts, and the other half low budget National team (with level 50 C1 Xiangling), still manage to full star this chamber
Sucrose 1 side, Geo MC other side and just cover the artifact with Geo constructs....or Xingqui and cryo....or just brute force with Noelle if you have her built. Or maybe even mona and amber taunts to the side. I have done all those back 12 months ago when it was monolith defense and we were like 3 months into the game with no artifacts.

I was never able to beat the abyss but currently it's the most difficult it ever was there are so many enemy's with a lot of HP that really drain your time, if you don't hav elike some crazy good team or really well build characters it's getting really difficult to beat the abyss
I honestly cannot stand doing the abyss... it's so boring to me for whatever reason. I'll usually do floors 9+10 when I need the stars for the BP other than that I tend to just ignore it.

I may not be able to 9 star every floor in spiral abyss but im just so happy i was even able to make it to the 3rd chamber on floor 12. Got 1 star in first chamber and 2 stars in 2 second chamber.
Kinda like Ganyu, Diluc's bird can indeed save a lot of time.
Once your dmg gets stacked, fighting takes less time, and proportionately, running around when you can't AoE everything down starts making up a bigger chunk of your times. Even if the bird misses one or two enemies, Diluc rarely runs into downtime issues.
It's a bit like why Venti is OP as hell, you got the dmg, you just need to connect your hits without wasting time.
Hu Tao mains watching Diluc in this video doing more damage than their Hu Tao's can.
I have a question for all the AR 57 and above people... What do you do in this game? Like do you play anything in it or is it just grinding little amounts of primogems every day for a future charecter that you don't really need because the game is so easy anyway.
And all the story stuff is like wait a month to play for like 2 hour long story and then what? So what do you guys play in the game?

AR 57 with 527 achievements here. If you ask what i do in this game, well just like what you said, waiting story stuff that we can clear in a week (maybe faster if there is no time gated) every month, and repeat. I play GI because the story xD
I just log in once a day to waste resin and collect vast quantity of primos they provide us. In terms of event's I usually wait till the end to play for more than 20 min. Feels like existential crisis. Don't rush this game. At the end the only thing you do is min max your artifacts, and for no reason because you can literally slap anything in the game without much effort.
I build another character, for me its the only thing to do in End game, even i dont use them in abyss... is just for fun.
Not much do world quest one a week when I feel like it or free, clear the abyss. Do domain and daily quest. And enjoy character hang out event (it's awesome BTW) wait for new interesting banner to pull. Currently at 60k gems lol... If mhy don't release signora soon egh I Am gonna have egh gem to c6 her as an f2p. Also for abyss after I get 36* I do go into it Time to time using un build team and the main motive is to SURVIVE XD it's pretty fun. (example fish Xiang ling explosion comp, raiden Barbara tazer comp, or go full anemo with sucrose jean venti + sayu for fun XD)
I was gonna say bring Xiangling and Sucrose for Chamber 3, but you still have to deal with the Kenkis on 12-2-2, so maybe Xiangling instead of Bennett would be preferred there. Either way, some kind of National team variation will destroy that shit.

This update 1st time I struggle with this abyss and mtashed clear in one time. This time mtashed struggle and I cleared in one time
Dogs are just an element check. You are supposed to have a main damage dealer that corresponds with THEIR element because they have reduced resistances to that element. I used Raiden with national (but I am confident a well invested Keqing would also do) for Electro wolves and Noelle with a bunch of batteries for Geo wolves. Half this game is having good artifacts and weapons, the other half is elemental checks - this has been the case since the game's release.
The thing that truly stings is that we don't have a bombshell 4 star electro DPS, but maybe the combination of fischl and beidou would do the trick.

Been doing abyss since ar45ish (now58) i 3starred the geo abyss before they changed it to 420 secs each chamber, then i 3starred the last 3 abyss resets, before i was doing 8/9 on all other abyss 12, not f2p, but no whale, bp/welking + all packs bonuses bought

Hey mtashed I really want to complete the spiral abyss to get my platinum on PlayStation and I've got about 5 characters on lvl 90 what teams would be best to tackle this and should I have 8 characters on lvl 90 and should they have max weapon and max artifacts to achieve all stars I have the traveller on 90 deluc 90 fishal 90 Mona 90 ninggang 90 and I've got xiangling 80 and Noelle 80 I do need help with teams that can complete the abyss because it's all solo so can you give me some pointers and characters to use to get all stars please
Raiden National/Childe International can easily clear floor 12 with mid level investment. i think national team(all varian) is the best team in genshin impact for every abyss rotation [good with aoe & single target enemies, and the damage scale are the highest among all the teams so they dont care about enemy elemental resistance]

Abyss = time trial
Floor 12.3 of abyss = wolfs that teleport out of your attack range constantly and enemies that are not all present until you first defeat previous ones.
I think it is doable. But having one Of my Main DPS characters being focused on close damage like Xiao I loose a lot of time going after those wolfs. I got 35 stars and haven’t ever gotten 36. Can we get a challenging but easier abyss please? I just want to get it and it just keeps getting more difficult

I don't grind abyss too much. did the abyss only once, got 34 stars. Like 550 gems out of 600 is not bad right?
It’s definitely not bad, it’s pretty good. If you still want to 36-star the abyss, then you should boost whatever aspects your account still lacks, whether that be AOE, single target, CC, certain elemental comps, etc.
Pretty good imo. Your sanity is much more valuable than the remaining 50 primos.

Been playing for a year, usually did abyss in 1 run and left them at 33 stars cuz 36 stars is not worth all that stress for a measly 50 primos.

I was able to 36 a few times but I just can't 36 2.3's one
I am F2P, AR 35 and the main squad I have been playing with the last couple of days includes Razor, Bennett, Venti and Ningguang, all C0. I just really like all the characters individually even though I know there can be better comps. I just got Diluc and I know he is one of the best characters and I want to play with him but I don’t know who to swap out. I was thinking about swapping Razor but I’m not sure. I’d appreciate any suggestions.
Well razor and diluc are both selfish, so you should put razor out, i used to do the same

This Abyss is actually quite easy. At least for me, I main Keqing so the Electro Wolves are no problem and the fact that they're on two chambers essentially makes them free. I can see why Mtashed was having more trouble there using Ganyu who has to hit them while they're constantly flying all over the place. But once they're grouped, they're pretty easy. It just helps to have Electro or Geo but I personally did fine with no Geo on the second half.
The Maguu Kenki floor is vastly overhyped. I used Xiao for that half no shield and still 3*'d the chamber just fine. The main thing is just making sure they stay grouped up, which I must have had good RNG with as they all stayed in Xiao's range and only took 2 Burst windows to finish the Chamber.
The final Chamber, I also don't think was very hard. I don't see why the devs doubled up on the wolves because if you can beat them in Chamber 1, I don't see why we'd have more difficulty with them in Chamber 3.
This shit is impossible for me. I don’t have long range DPS and Chamber 3 wolfs just dash around stalling like crazy

If you have well built teams, you will have plenty lf time on 12-2 to build energy for 12-3.
Unless you want to redo the entire abyss just to build energy for 12-3, I would advice everyone to build full energy on 12-2.

Honestly you could probably get by with a lvl 20 flower and a basic bow.

But the funny part was that Hu Tao's team was faster and my Eula team was slower... Hence why it felt harder because of how the Abyss buffs were working this time 🙄 🤣
After playing the new trials I’m really stupid for skipping Kazuha and Ayaka for Klee.
Maybe it’s because I don’t “min max” my characters. Or maybe there’s a lot of variables. Lack of five star weapons on my Dps characters,horrible artifact luck,etc. I’ve never 36 starred abyss. Idk I mostly like building new characters and making different teams. That’s very fun to me. Just got Sara and Beidou to lvl 70. Hmmmm idk about them yet. Also,any ninnguang mains have any advice? She’s disappointing. I have her lvl 80 with solar pearl and her numbers are pretty low 😢
Min Maxing artifacts and Maxing talents is more important than the weapons. Reaching 160+ Crit Damage with 55+ Crit Rate on artifacts bonuses for your main damage dealers (ninnuang included) is time consuming but definitely the easiest way to clear Abyss. 2 DPS on each side with similar stats as above and it'll be a breeze with good supports. @@wbh8887 Well I learned quite early not to really sweat Abyss. If I can’t get the intended results in four to seven tries then I just leave it at that. So I hover around 32 stars normally. Talents is probably where I slack off the most. It hurts having to waste resin on mora lay lines 😭 My Xiao is still at 7-7-7. Only characters I’ve crowned are Xingqiu,Ayaka,Xianling,and Fischl(my day one baby lol) My Ning has 63 crit and 207 crit damage. Her talents are 4-4-4 and she has 1550 atk. Would leveling her talents REALLY make that much of a difference?
@@Blackstari first and foremost, that's awesome! You aren't really far away from crushing the abyss. Now for talents... you absolutely need to get them up there. Get her to 8-8-8 and just watch the damage double if not triple with those stats. Now when it comes to the mora issue lol everybody is broke. I wait for the dbl leylines week and typically do them on days where the domains I need are closed
