2 and 5 Train Action at Intervale Avenue (Midday Express)

While it is not entirely uncommon, it is unusual to see the IRT White Plains Road Line use the express track outside of the AM/PM Rush Hour. For a few afternoons in a week, track work necessitated Manhattan-bound 2 and 5 trains to run via express from East 180 St to 3 Av-149 St. Here's a look at Intervale Av, the only elevated stop on the White Plains Road line to feature windscreens throughout the entire platform.

This gives me so much nostalgia. I used to live at Intervale avenue and prospect avenue when I was 5-7😭😭😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧 I remember taking the 2 and 5 train and my dad used to live at gun hill road in the 5 line and he picked me and my sister up at Intervale Avenue and took us on the 5 to gun hill road🤧🤧
