More inside body shots and upper cuts would help too. But that could be said for both fighters. Both have a tendency to leap in load up and are limited on creative tempo based combination punching. Instead of firing every shot with bad intentions they could lead the other guy into the power shot with combos. The body shots that were thrown were hurting Santiago.

      YoU aRe ObViOuSlY a HaTeR
      Because Devin Haney fought Santiago
Santiago was ducked by every top ranked lightweight in the world, I don’t have any proof or evidence to support my claim but Devin Haney couldn’t even put this guy away.
If you go look at Santiago’s BoxRec, because he doesn’t have a Wikipedia page, even Wikipedia was ducking Santiago you’ll see that he fought a bunch of boxers no one has ever heard of.
The point in trying to make is Devin Haney is fighting the best fighters in the world because everyone is ducking him.
Canelo doesn’t want none of Haney, the Charlo bro’s are ducking him, Anthony Joshua turned down a 5 billion dollar contract to fight Haney too.
It’s sad because Devin Haney has half of his career wins against guys with losing records in Tijuana Mexico, he had to leave the USA to fight in Tijuana Mexico because the USA had a bunch of cowards who didn’t want to fight.
If Errol Spence turns doesn’t fight Haney next, then he should forfeit all of his belts and send them pictures via Email to Devin Haney to add to his email collection because he’s obviously CLEARLY DUCKING HANEY TOO
Right now me alongside the LDBC have Devin Haney #1 p4p of all time. We LDBC officially declare Devin Haney GOAT until someone beats and DATS 📠 FAX 😤

The fight between Haney and Kambosos might come down to pacing. Both fighters have speed, but it's how they apply their speed that might tell. Haney seems to prefer a slower pace where it becomes a shot for shot battle where accuracy is paramount. Kambosos for his part fights at a slightly frantic, yet controlled pace attacking in skirmishes.

Haney is a nice fighter. He has skills, but he doesn't belong in the same conversation as Tank and Teofimo. And maybe even Ryan Garcia?!? If he turns up against Campbell and shows he can do to an A grader what he's been doing to B and C graders then Garcia belongs there too...... But Haney will need to come out and stop Gamboa inside of 3 rounds for that opponent to add anything to Haney's rep!
Really Garcia is the only one stepping up. He's the only one following the example that Teo set. Haney fighting Gamboa - enough said, but even Tank vs Santa Cruz, as great a fighter as Leo is, he's a blown up featherweight, and with the fight at 130 Tank still needs to prove he can cut it at 135.... obviously i think he will, but a fight vs a Richard Commey type, or actually Kambosos would be a great fight for Tank. A legit 135 pounder, crowd pleasing style who would give Tank some testing rounds, yet unlikely to spoil the Teo/Garcia future fights by causing an upset.

Lomachenko should of fought haney he would of schooled him.

You're right. He should have fought Haney.
Instead Loma dropped his WBC belt and then lost everything in a fight where he didn't throw anything for 7 rounds 🤦‍♂️

@Andy Rivera there was no point repeating it to me. Any explanations for why he didn't throw anything won't change the fact that he didn't throw anything

Where in any of my comments did I suggest that Lomachenko did not lose??

@Andy Rivera I said Loma didn't throw hands for 7 rounds.
I didn't imply anything about what might have happened if he did

@Andy Rivera i don't care to make up any excuses or explanations for why Loma was so gunshy. All that matters to me are the simple facts; 1) Loma did not throw anything for 7 rounds
      2) Loma did not score any knockdowns or dominant rounds
      3) Loma lost fair and square
      🤷‍♂️

He should fight Lomenchenko to gauge where he is but Loma wins that one by late round stoppage.

Loma forfeited his belt because Devin Haney was his mandatory....he literally ducked the fight.. and then the wbc gave him that " franchise" belt...thats how devin became world champion. Dont believe me..research it

@@JJMoneyman For economical reasons Loma's promoter wanted to keep it in house & fight Teofimo, so they made a pact with the WBC to settle with Haney.
It had nothing to do with Loma.
Anyway why would Loma duck the comparatively light-hitting Haney to fight a quick KO artist like Teo. Doesn't make sense.
Anyway Haney might end up the best of the current crop, but this fight showed he ain't there yet - Loma would have beaten this version of Haney - in one or two years time it'll be a different story..

@@JJMoneyman I know that, there had to be a reason for Loma to do this. Reason being all the garbage that Teo was talking he possibly wanted to make it personal so he took that fight. There had to be a reason for him taking that fight, and as they say it has to make business sense. Teo and Loma was a bigger fight than Haney. Now Loma if he wants to get a title back he has to go through Haney. This fight now makes sense cause now people will want to see it. Davis vs Teo is a bigger fight than Haney vs Davis or Teo. Let him beat someone of significance and the public will ask for it. Haney beating Gamboa isn’t going to put him in position for either of the 2 but beating Loma, Linares, Fortuna or Campbell will definitely have the fans wanting one of those match ups.
