I ordered this same set ,definitely gonna have to track down upgraded parts ,can't wait to see your custom video on it ,and I'm on the same page with what is missing . That box is a pleasant surprise though,I'm going full diorama with this when it comes in

Great review, man! I’ve heard some other reviewers say there was a problem with one of the legs did you have that at all? Overall I think it’s still worth getting but you’ll have to help with some of the custom work on this one! Can’t pass up getting a Macready though!

Im in the process of finding a decent body to swap, I actually saw someone swap the body and it somehow made the jacket look way better haha. I think the body swap is the first step to take. Thanks for watching 🤝
I just opened mine and the posability in the arms is not great. To get the flame thrower in plus the flame affect at the correct level to look like he is firing it is pretty hard. it really stresses the jacket material.
I saw this figure getting a lot of hate elsewhere though I think most of it is not warranted. This figure is from an American company that hasn't really done proper realistic clothed figures before (the closest they got before was a Hitchcok figure IIRC, then video game based figure Gordon Freeman) so they are basically new to the scene so it is expected that their first forays into tealistic clothed 1:6 figures will not be perfect. Another thing folk fail to consider(when complaining that it costs as much as an HT/more than 3rd party but lesser quality) is that American brand figures tend to be more expensive than Asian ones anyway due to additional costs while this figure being officially licensed means that that cost is baked in to the price when 3rd party figures don't have such a cost to consider. Additionally newer brands don't have access to the best factories, so that also plays a part in the cost/quality ratio. Over time they should hopefully learn and improve while also gradually getting access to better production facilities. The biggest issues with the figure are the choice of body (it is pretty bad) and the jackets tailoring/material. Both of thoee can be fixed. The body could be swapped with a better quality one which will improve posability and proportions while the jacket can perhaps be swapped out for a modified DID one (one of their recent figures has one that is a close match and uses real leather). The figure itself works well as a kit for a custom. It is a solid starting point with most of the hard work done. The timed accessories really make it worth the purchase. With suitable lighting no repaint is needed for the Things, they are good enough, but some paint touch ups could make them perfect. Some paint on the hair of the headsculpts and aome weathering to the clothes will really help make it feel more accurate I think. For the price it is slightly underwhelming but as explained above it is somewhat expected given who it is coming from. Still worth it even if it is on par more with figures from 10 years ago. Overall it is a flawed but decent release with tons of potential. Hopefully Mondo's Nada from They Live will be better and signal a gradual improvement for the brand over time.

Is it Hot Toys quality, absolutely not. But there are some things to like about it. I bought this knowing it probably would not blow me away, but that I could modify it here and there and make it as good as I need it to be. I think it is solid start to their realistic type figures, and I hope they improve in the future. Im happy to finally own an RJ MacReady and not have to shell out over a grand for customs, as beautiful as most of them are 👍 Thanks for watching!

Such a disappointment. I would've loved to have the representation in the collection. We're seeing other companies like Aug Toys step up to HT and Inart in terms of quality, as the bar has been raised significantly in the last few years.. But I encourage more competition. I guess I'll have to wait for a Macready 2.0.

That jacket is 🗑 and the proportions of the figure look off. The accessories are great. Mondo need to leard how to do figures with clothes
