- 4 and a half month old Riley gets her ears pierced. She did well! Only cried for about 30 seconds. And she was her normal happy self. Our family gets our girls ears pierced when they are 4 months old, so they get it over with quickly, and won't remember the pain. This is the 5th grandchild to get her ears pierced, all have loved them, and have been happy that they were done so young.

Never understood the need that mama's have to get their babies ears pierced. That baby is just as beautiful without the earrings. I had 3 girls and never pierced theirs. I just couldn't bring myself to put them through that. But everybody is different but your baby is beautiful.
Plus let them have something they can choose to do on their own. Getting their ears pierced as their own decision is a great way to teach them some responsibility that goes along with it☺️

Wow, I’m speechless about this mother, and all other people laughing immediately after this baby started crying in pain…
They didn’t laugh because of the baby was in pain though. It’s the kind of laugh when babies do something cute. Sometimes my one year niece fell on the floor and I start to laugh. Not because she fell but because I found it cute and I know it wasn’t too dangerous.
The laught in this video wasn’t that deep to be upset about. The person laughing knew the baby wasn’t in danger. Because if the baby was in danger they wouldn’t be laughing. Most importantly they wouldn’t even be there.
@@rahayangu1998. I bet the baby doesn’t know about your “theory”. . If what you wrote was true, then the baby perceives mum being cheerful when he/she does something cute, and also when he/she is in pain. Awful and confusing for the baby, don’t you think? Not easy to learn compassion either.
They didn't start laughing immediately after the piercing gun went through her ears. They started laughing after she stopped crying.
I like watching these videos bcuz I love seeing the babies in pain 😌
They were certainly not laughing because the baby girl was in pain. They thought it was cute and they knew she was fine. They knew she was being well taken care of. Do you know how you usually spend time with an infant and he/she clumsily falls and then the child cries, but you start laughing. You do not laugh because it "looks" as if the baby just injured himself/herself, but because it looks cute because the child is too young and is new to the world, still physically and psychologically developing.
My heart dropped when I saw her get them pierced, she didn’t need all that stress and pain for her. She’s only little😊❤️❤️

They never pierced my ears when I was born. I made the decision myself on my 9th birthday, and I remember going back home crying from the pain, so I can't imagine the pain that poor baby had to go through 🥺.
Mine were pierced when I was a baby and I have no memory of it but I have no regrets, I'm glad my mom got them for me. ❤
@@BenjiXAddictX4Ever Good for you, but I wouldn't do that to a baby. Think about it: people keep telling you that a tattoo is for life and to be careful with what you chose, yet having your ears pierced when you aren't even able to talk is no biggie? I don't find the logic in that.
@@ainhoagarrido3965 well you dont have to wear earrings and it'll eventually close up, they aren't very noticeable at all if you dont make them. comparing them to a tattoo to me is a bit insane.

Why do people pierce their baby's ears?? I feel like it's unnecessary especially when they're so young. But, no shade I doubt it will cause any damage or trauma to them or anything either. I get nervous with anything even slightly sharp around my nieces in general. 😅
In India it's almost mandatory ..mother and mother in law both won't accept girls without piercing 😂😂

it's horrible to do that to a baby so young personally i think you have to let the child choose for himself whether he wants to pierce his ears or not (me for example i made my first piercing at 8 years old)

She was happy and then they do that to her. What a shame.

You can see how much pain the baby was in the way she is shaking her hands, the woman was sticking the pacifier in her mouth when she was cry that hard and loud. When babies cry like that they can’t catch their breathe.
She should never stick and force that pacifier into the baby's mouth like that. The baby needs to come up for air after crying so hard those first few moments. Really stupid.

Look up an article in wikipedia about earrings (and a paper it referrs to: "Contact hypersensitivity and allergic contact dermatitis among school children and teenagers with eczema"). All earrings contain a little bit of nickel (no matter what base metal they are made of), and kids get allergic, because of that nickel that is in earrings (a lot of the so called food allergies can be caused by those earrings done when they were babies due to nickel present in them).
So although it seems that doing piercing for babies would save them from remembering the pain of doing that when they are older, that allergy problem makes it a non recommended procedure.
To avoid that allergy problem someone would probably have to buy as chemically pure metal for earrings as possible, like gold, test it for nickel, if any is found give it for a chemist to purify it. Test it again, if it is nickel free, then make a custom made earrings from it. That's certainly a lot of effort and expenditures, but if you want to save your baby from earring caused allergies that is the only way (apart from not doing piercing to babies and kids at all).
Titanium surgical grade earring is fine. No nickel.

What's the deal with parents getting their babies ears pierced at such a young age 🤯. Poor baby was so upset 😭. Why not wait until they are older and let them make their decisions.
Coz the skin is very soft and it hurts less, after growing up it hurts much more
@@sunnatirao8422 I don't think that is necessarily true. I had my daughter's ears pierced at 4mths. Most of the time, remember, MOST of the time, it is the popping sound that scares them. I had mine done when I was 17yrs old and that is what I found out. They felt "hot" also, just for a few minutes.
I barley remeber when i got my peircing. I had my piercing since like 2 months is what my mom told me. I probs cried but ion rember a thing

@@someperson4281 babies still don't have their consciousness developed, they need help with everything, technically they're "forced" into everything their parents think is good for them until they're capable of taking their own decisions. There's nothing inherently wrong with piercings, and if the baby doesn't like it after growing up it can stop wearing ornaments there and the hole will heal on it's own, simple. Idk why there is such a big fuss about piercings. If this was about circumcision I would've considered, but there's nothing wrong with piercing, ppl are over-exaggerating it.

Parents please stop immediately putting a pacifier in your baby’s mouth when they’re hurt! Its not going to stay in anyway. It’s okay to allow them to cry, it’s healthier for them to let it out bc they’re in shock and in pain. Love on them until they catch a breath and find their bearings before trying to force a pacifier into their mouth!! When you’re devastated and need to cry do you want something shoved and wiggled in your mouth?? Of course not, so don’t do anything to your baby you wouldn’t want done to yourself🙄
This entire video made me mad lol. It's obviously not a cultural practice and they went to a nasty Claire's-type place with piercing guns that cause problems later in life.

It's sometimes cultural stuff you know. Not just for the look all my former schools has rules that ban you from wearing anything except earing. I got mine when I was so young I use to think all bay girls are born wearing it. But no trauma here. Seriously though. Their baby, they'll cry for few mimutes and then forget everything that happened. Once they grow up they'll be asking something like "mommy why do girls born with earings?".
Piercing by hollow needle, done by a professional body piercer is less painful and doesn’t smash the ear. There is a video of a blueberry being pierced with a gun, and it literally explodes. Another one is pierced with a needle and it slides through like butter
Good idea but I wouldn't recommend putting the pacifier in her mouth right away. Console her first because she just got her ears pieced. Mommy kept pushing the pacifier in. She won't take it right away because it's too painful.

Not too young at all. It’s actually better to do it young to avoid infection because us parents take care of the healing process. And she don’t remember the pain at all.
@WayRay007 How so, it’s her choice if she wants to pierce the ears of her baby, sure it will hurt but it would also hurt the kid if she did it when she was 5 years old. Instead, her children no longer even remember this pain and as she said they are happy to have their ears pierced. It’s no big deal.

I guess Americans hate this thing which is kind of weird cause Indians approve this a lot. Most Indian girls love earrings and we love if our parents did it at very young age itself. Because we won't hesitate and at that age it doesn't pain at all, it will be more like the feeling of slight pinching. And in case the baby doesn't like it in future, the holes can completely close in few months.

I got my ears pierced as a baby, and im thankful to my mother because there is no way i would have done it now. I cant remember the pain then. And i absolutely love earrings.

The same to me, I got my ears pierced when I was a baby girl, and I'm thankful to my mother for that, because I can't done now. And I love the earrings, I still wear my baby earrings (very little, 18kt gold and security close), I only changed in special ocassions for large ones, but changed again later on.
In all honesty, you shouldn't do that to a baby at that age, I'm really sorry for the child at the moment 😔😐
The reason why some people do it at a young age is cuz the baby will not play with it and when they are older they will play with it

Love her outfit, earrings and headband, so cute. I decided I wanted mine pierced when I was 6 because it was 1995, the Batman Forever movie was just released and one day we went shopping at the mall for school clothes and saw a pair of batman stud earrings and just had to have them, I cried a little at first but then fell in love with them Now with some patches of gray hair I still wear earrings, either a gold stud or silver cross. 😂

No lo va a recordar, en mi país nos perforan al momento de nacer. No recuerdo el dolor ni nada. Pero al perforame 2 veces más de adulta si que lo recuerdo, tarda 6 meses en curar el cartílago y el del lóbulo ya lleva 3 meses y aún duele.
Me alegro que mi mamá hiciera los 2 iniciales y me ahorrase todo el dolor de adulta

Its a very young age and it should maby be done when their 5-6 years or when they can handle such pain. As a person whit earrings i think it shouldnt be that young to take piercings in air i think it should be atleast 5 yr old or older.

shouldn't be allowed. should be illegal. End of. its their body they should have a say whether they want a piercing or not when they can give consent themselves. They cannot speak therefore why should the parent make that decision for them when it's their body. I have a daughter and when she decides she wants piercings and can look after them thats fine until that moment i would never do anything intentionally to cause pain no matter how little just for a 'look of beauty.'
