daniel was in a legal battle against his company in 2019 because his company sold his rights behind his back. his company used textbook character assassination attempts online and through media connections to slander him. he was blacklisted in the industry for going against his company and couldn't promote properly, and that didn't end until the legal battle ended in late 2019. it was a lot for him to take mentally. he was diagnosed with depression and anxiety in early 2019 and had to take a hiatus in december 2019 to early 2020 to recover. paranoia is a song written by him when he was fighting his inner demons
