      He got one part right: "don't take the RFID chip."
      Nothing like letting hackers, thugs, and gov personnel track your every move or be able to (down the line) empty your bank account wirelessly due to your chipped hand.
      Sadly, most people pay monthly to carry a bugging device that is also a tracking device, and hackers have drained bank accounts due to people using online banking.

    I adore the sincerity of Elon Musk's answers. You can tell that he does not try to please or earn approval by acting like a cool guy but he wants to transmit the message in which he believes and that he learned from his experience. It requires a lot of courage to stay true to oneself. And, honestly, he is one of the most genuine and bravest people.

      I think he is a real arsehole, but his thinking is very innovative. I don't blame him for being an ass hat though, His formative years were spent in the school system of Apartheid South Africa. It's a common misconception that a person has to be nice to be good at what they do, they don't, but how much of a "good person" someone is doesn't influence the value of the work they do throughout their lifetime.

    I really don't understand the criticism about how Elon talks or "Can't form a sentence". To a lot of people, including me, he wouldn't be this attractive if he talked like a lot of those empty-headed businessmen. He has the right amount of cute nerdiness, that many of us can relate to. He just says what passes through his mind and because he is processing a lot at the same time to some it may seem he is not articulate.
    Also if you think he is too shy which he is not, you have not been in tech and science environments. I studied Physics and engineering and I am now working in high-Tech; I have seen engineers and scientists who are shy and really can't explain and express themselves but he is not like that at all. He is an inspiring thinker, engineer, leader and role model.

    I like how he spends a lot of time in generating a thoughtful answer to a simple, almost jokingly unserious question. It shows he respects every question, regardless big or small. He's not a celebrity. He doesn't bullshit or put up a front just to come across as being witty and charming.

    • @matthiastau9358
      @matthiastau9358 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's what it seems like. You never know who a person really is that's on media. He is a show guy (which he has and had to be to get were he is and his companies are), and he is the PR department of all his companies + CEO + CTO. That can't fit together without putting a face on for at least one area, and now think about what area it is with the highest probability.
      I'm not against Elon Musk and I think he is a genius + visionary + hard worker, but there's always more to something than what you see (e. g. www.quora.com/What-is-it-like-to-work-with-Elon-Musk).

      Novel, I know but it is my life’s dream to have an actual conversation with The most successful Genius of any time I am aware of. Based on the contributions and resolve Elon has shown I think you are most likely to answer some questions. Hopefully get some input. I will say though Isaac Newton is my number two behind Elon. I wonder if Elon has considered developing AI capable of computing photogrammetry in real-time? I’m having a discussion about what instrumentation’s would be required to send AI robots through buildings.We talked about photogrammetry and sensory processing transmitting details of structures. We are still working on The AI that would be required to accurately measure a homes perpendicularity with the accuracy of processing GDT measurements and collecting visual datum’s by measuring, parallelism total flatness, concentricity, maximum & minimum material conditions. Elon Musk what components would you include, think of this as my robot challenge. If these robots could send the information about the accuracy controlling there by controlling the 3D hopefully 6D printers X,Y, Z, A, B & C axis. Metal’s, plastic’s nano tube’s? Since technically allows us to measure close to plank lengths. Would computers building Mars be capable of printing organ tissues? How long until you think the task of printing cells is achievable? Achieving this would assist in bringing life on Mars and elsewhere closer to a practical reality. Saving the processed O2 that’s now being stored on Mars has been accomplished. The condition’s & instruments used to build that life will require depths in technology We have not seen yet. I think there is that is available it would require assembly and robotics. We haven’t figured out what materials have the lowest thermal response with the high test R-value?
      Also requires self assembly & software & processing capabilities on other planet in their prospective Goldilocks zones. Elon, what thoughts do you have on the advancing Carbon capturing? I know you have a 100,00,000USD challenge to whoever is able producing a processes that captures Carbon and may even be able to produce a Carbon infused material with the added benefit of having a net negative. The machines need to be scalable! I’ve not studied as much as I need to answer all of our questions. Elon, I have scoliosis how would someone like myself benefit from Neurallink? My synopsis are hopefully firing at a measurable rate. I have to much grey matter.

    • @pilotavery
      @pilotavery 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      terry breedlove People with autism often have speech problems, even people like Elon Musk who has high functioning form called "Aspergers syndrome". Aspies, or people with Aspergers, (like Albert Einstein, Mark Zuckerberg, etc) behave strangely and have weird mannerisms, and quirks. It's common. But many brilliant people are Aspies, and many aspies are brilliant.
      People tease him for it, but it's just a side affect of what makes him genius. Basically, his brain is working so fast in abstract thought, not thinking in English. People with Aspergers often don't have an internal voice when they are just thinking about things, it's purely abstract. This means that it takes more work to interpret it and translate it into English so he can voice it. Imagine if you had an interview in English, but you had to respond in your second language? It's kind of like that, since Aspies see language as another structure, not a natural thing. It just means his brain listens, interprets into abstract thought, etc. It's just the way his brain processes information, much like a computer.

      He puts a lot of thought into them.
      But I do see him as being quite different in his way of speech compared to someone like Ben Shapiro, who speaks very fast and simulates information extremely fast in an articulate way.
      I can see how some people would see his speech as odd, same as Ben.

It’s almost like Elon has mentally scripted answers that he has prepared and brings into every interview, which is a smart thing to do so you don’t need to answer every question on the fly in every different interview. But it gets old hearing him say the same things over and over.

    He isn't a bad speaker in my opinion. He isn't animated or very energetic and he speaks plainly but to the point, no bullshit. I like that. Listen to what he is saying i think that stands above everything else. He's not trying to change the world he already has just being the person he is inspiring people everywhere. That alone is incredible!

    I personally feel for Elon when you can visually tell how hype he gets explaining something amazing to someone and it just goes over the interviewer's head. Like you can see in his face how he realizes he's not getting the reaction he thinks it deserves. This happens on a daily basis to me lol

    by far one of the best and productive interviews on youtube (relative to other musk interviews on youtube). the interviewer tried to minimize musk's ramblings/misunderstandings of the question, and at least attempted to cut the questions short if it didnt seem to lead to a direction that was beneficial in some way. in a way im kind of sad that of all the things musk has optimized, his ability to communicate is not one of them (not a hater tho, the opportunity cost when compared to his achievements is so low that you'd still benefit). but i think people like his inability to articulate his words clearly. it makes him more earnest, and vulnerable (in a good way). but in the end, for the sake of time, id rather he fix it tbh.

    My son grew up building his own computers, designed his own boards, can program in any language, and now works on AI. He did not thrive in public schools and one of his teachers even had him tested for a learning disability. The tester told me he had the highest math ability she had seen in her career. Today, he is very successful in spite of his public education. I am convinced that public education needs to change fundamentally. I was a research chemist that tried teaching science and math in a public school for a short time, where I got insight into the workings of our educational system. I would like to see people that have achieved success in life, like Elon, take an interest in helping reinvent our educational system.

    Direct democracy in my opinion is the right choice but will not work on it's own I believe that people need the tools to be able to use their vote in a right way. For example implementing world politics in school as compulsory and also regulating and breaking the huge news corporations down so that the way news is conveyed is not biased to a specific agenda. There's more i could add but you get the point.
