- We got her without knowing that she was a pregnant guinea pig.
Until we noticed that her belly got bigger than it should be. We took her to vet for check up. Then we knew for sure that she was pregnant. This video captures the progress of her growing up with pups in her belly from week 1 until week 8.

One thing, guinea pigs shouldn't be housed on wire bottom cages, their little feet can get hurt. Just thought I'd let you know. Great video, sweet, beautiful piggies!

My lord, what breed is she? She delivered like a pro, was that her first time? I only say because the pups are huge. I thought 3 is small but I knew some people who only had 2 but normally it's 4 or more. Interesting. I hope they are all still well.
I volunteer at a local GP rescue and usually foster the pregnant mommas. The ones we’ve had usually only give 1-2, but that’s also likely because before coming to the rescue they were unwell and malnourished towards the beginning of the pregnancy. The head of the rescue recently had a saw give birth to a litter of 6!
@@zenithmushroom3393 That's awesome. I rescued two sows last year who BOTH ended up being pregnant. They delivered 10 pups between them. Fortunately, all were well & managed to get them to a lovely sanctuary to grow up in. The weaning process to when they can reproduce is VERY thin so I hand fed the boars for the last week (just in case).
How old was your guinea pig when she gave birth??
I think she was around 3 months. We didn't know she was pregnant when bringing her home.
So it tooks 8 week to give birth now i rest that my baby chunchunmaru is pregnant

It's beaphar guinea pig food. Are there any issue with this food?
@@rodentcarebiz I think so, I would recommend Timothy complete pellets or oxbow they are really good brands 🤗

She literally gave birth to herself 😂😂.. One gunia look same like her mother... I also have gunia pig... These making so much noise.. And I literally frustrated by those voice... Aahhhh It took time to understand them
