Your words on learning more with a gun capable of shoot .250" could not be more true.

For those out there th's at think 308 is too slow, try the Barnes ttsx 130 grain. My 20" rifle shoots them over 3100 fps and it's an absolute hammer on deer. If you don't like copper, I'm sure the Nosler 125 bt would work as well, but the sectional density probably isn't great. Sectioanl density doesn't matter on Barnes as they will pass through regardless.

When you have gun that good it cost you a lot of dollars because you don’t want to settle for the rest of your gun’s not to be a hammer !

a high coefficient means it performs worse in the wind?

      Dear Sir - A G1 of .700 resists wind better than a G1 of .600, .500, .400, etc.....thanks.

Does anyone ever wildcat this round? Take .010 body taper out and do a 35 or 40 degree should. That would be really interesting to test.

Dear Sir - wife number one shot a bunch of whitetails with .308 Winchester, they all died, just not impressively. Thanks.

I have rebarreled a .308 rifle in 6.5CM and I regret. I have tried so many components and loads but there are flyers all the time (about 0.75-1 Moa average 5shots geoups)

Dear Sir - I have built several; they all shot good, but none shot great. Thanks.

Wind does not effect 308 at 100. I have a custom 308 and 6.5 both shoot 1/2 Moa. If I put a tuner break on them they would probably shoot hole for hole. U must have bought that ammo about 30 yrs ago! Plus the 175 shot bad due to being cheap ammo! Lol

Dear Sir - please go to a sanctioned bench-rest match to revise your "wind" knowledge. Thanks...

I agree. 5mph wind at 90 degrees will move a 168 grn .308 .250" - .330 at 100 yrds, at least that has been what i have seen.

Stop cleaning the rifle! Your groups will tighten up. Shoot till your groups open up then clean the rifle.
    I have a ruger 6.5 I paid $404 that shoots less than 1/4" at 100 and 1 1/2 groups at 500 yards with factor Hornady match 140.
I have 3 other stock rifles less than $600 with 1/4" groups at 100 yards. 7mm rem A bolt, 30/06 interarms, .223 Remington and a Bergara. 300 prc all Shoot better than that. Not impressed
