Kermit is the world’s most famous frog, but he has never let international success go to his head. Arguably one of Jim Henson’s most famous Muppet creations, Kermit the Frog has come a long way from his home, the swamp, to become one of the world’s most recognized pop culture icons. From his hit singles “Rainbow Connection” and “It’s Not Easy Being Green,” hosting “The Muppet Show,” to guest appearances on “Sesame Street,” Kermit continues to take on the entertainment business. One leap at a time.
Miss Piggy is the ultimate diva, leading lady, fashion icon, star of stage, screen, and all media known and unknown in perpetuity throughout the universe. Miss Piggy has an appetite for the good things in life, including chocolate, jewelry, awards, and above all, her one true love, Kermit the Frog.
Fozzie Bear is the world’s funniest-and only- stand-up comedy bear. From his beat-up hat to the “wocka wocka” that punctuates his punchlines, Fozzie is an “old school” comic. His jokes aren’t always great, but they are delivered with heart and Fozzie’s signature pazazz.
Gonzo is a multi-talented artist who performs outrageous daredevil stunts. Though an odd looking creature, Gonzo takes pride in his uniqueness and enjoys every adventure he goes on with the Muppets including the occasional space voyage.
Walter, the ultimate Muppet fan, has dreamed of being a part of the Muppets since he was literally no bigger than a ball of lint. Being the new kid within the Muppets Walter can be somewhat nervous, soft spoken and shy. But, when the need arises, Walter is also smart and courageous.
The Muppets (2011)
The Muppets (2011) is the first theatrical release from the Muppets franchise in over a decade, and was brought to the screen by the writing genius of Jason Segel. With Segel, Kermit the frog, Miss Piggy, Gonzo, and friends are back in full force! In “The Muppets” movie, the Muppets’ biggest fan Walter, a puppet, his brother Gary (Jason Segel), and his brother’s girlfriend Mary (Amy Adams) join forces with Kermit the Frog to reunite the Muppets and save the Muppet Theater from being demolished by Tex Richman, who plans to drill for oil in the spot at which the Muppet Theater is built.

This was like the golden era of Steve Whitmire’s Kermit the Frog performance, specifically referring to how spot on his voice sounds to Jim Henson.
i was raised with this show; and as the end of the movie was; I had teared up, because they came back.

Awesome! The Muppets is one of those kids movies that ANYONE can enjoy, which makes it so amazing. I plan on seeing it at an early screening!!!!!
I doubt there will be anything better than Muppet Treasure Island or A Muppet Christmas Carol, but I'm glad to see them back.

I went to go see it this Wednesday. The day it came out in Los Angeles. If you are going to see the movie, there is a short toon called Small Fry and there is a hidden mickey head at the end.

Why are they in a Jeep and a Chrysler? Why not a Studebaker or the Electric Mayhem tour bus? The Muppets are "high quality entertainment"; a phrase I wouldn't use to describe a Chrysler or Jeep. They deserve to be in a limo at the very least! I cannot wait to see the new movie though. Muppets FTW! Chrysler showcase Fail!
