I had a step-grandma like this. My pawpaw was dying of brain cancer and she took advantage of his being out of it and tossed ALL the photos my paw paw and grandma had of the family, including my dad's few baby photos from the 50s. They weren't her family so out they went! My aunt managed to save a few because she lived next door and happen to see what was happening, but she literally had to shove an old lady to get them lol. Sorry not sorry, Edith!

Not a doll collector but as a diehard lifelong Tomb Raider fan that Legend doll looks so gorgeous. I'm surprised it never occurred to me before that Lara probably would translate extremely well to doll form and they really brought out her beauty and steely strength in that one. Sidenote: Legend Lara is the definitive version for me, especially with her voice by Keeley Hawes who just- is Lara Croft to me, even though games-wise I'm a "Gen 1" fan all the way.
The mana sama dollfie is a holy grail for like half the older bjd community. Its not for me and for that im grateful every day. My original biggest grail was a soom supergem amber on a beryle body and i was lucky enough to get her legit for $400 years back when soom lost popularity. My other grails are all old bjd by companies that went under years ago. One is a head that i dont think the company that made her sold a single one of and so shes lost forever in time. The other is a IOS Taurus head in jet black resin, a color they retired and would not do for me even by special request 😢

My holy grail has to be Silkstone Barbie 10 years tribute gold label from 2010. To me, she is absolutely gorgeous in her embroidered blue dress with the side ruffles. Her makeup is everything. Love her! 🥰
oh that Miku doll in the fan suggestions is beautiful. That's the only one that really stood out to me as someone who isn't a doll collector. This was definitely an interesting video though, it's nice to see the higher end, unrealistic to obtain prices and see how widely prices can vary. also a lot of those prices are nuts, reminds me of G1 transformers, those go insanely priced. I don't collect those either, but some of the G1 stuff is in the several thousand dollars, especially MIB.
the first doll to come to mind when you asked that question was sweet screams draculaura... pretty basic and definitely not as rare as some of these in the video but come on this is sweet screams draculaura, how can i not want her 😭 next that comes to mind is the kieran valentine doll..... it's not even that the doll is stunning incredible jawdropping but they just had to make it a collectors dolls so i have to accept i will never have him. he's my favorite mh character!!!!!!! i wish they would just add him to g3 already so i can have him in SOME doll form. this video reminds me of how much i love dollfies, honestly i would just take any of them. i particularly like that hatsune miku vampire dress outfit though
As someone that mostly collects BJD's with a smattering of Barbies, Tonners, and porcelain dolls I feel blessed enough to say that I pretty much own every doll I've wanted. A lot of saving, searching and a little luck! I say pretty much because the only dolls I do want that I don't actually have just aren't available to buy secondhand. I'd love to get my hands on some of the big bunnies from Cocotribe but they rarely even appear on the bjd market much less places like ebay or mercari. And, one doll I'd love to have just doesn't exist yet. A John Ratcliffe doll, I'm actually sort of surprised that Disney hasn't made him at all yet.
I love these videos that showcase and give appreciation to some of the lesser known and shutdown brands! Not an active doll collector myself but I've been collecting figures and plushies for basically my whole life and the pricing on resales for those are also outrageous. Current grails are the Horror Bishoujo Tiffany, Chucky, and Edward Scissorhands and the PopMart Molly SpongeBob BJD. Also been collecting merchandise of a specific character from this defunct Mars themed restaurant that existed in NYC in the late 90s-2012 and I got possibly the best piece of collectors merch for FREE. Someone posted a few weeks ago about needing to get rid of the head to the alien mascot suit and I managed to snag it before any of the three other people that are active in that forum could. My dream is to one day own the whole suit, but this is honestly the most unrealistic thing I could ever want since the person who gave me the head was there for the restaurant closing and was told the suits were being trashed.
My grail doll was the TBLeague Anubis doll. I wanted to have a full fledged soft body but anatomically correct figure of Anubis as my safety toy. I love the idea of having the guardian of the under world with you at all times, it's comforting. TBLeague has changed hands over the years but the dolls are still out there. They make AMAZING figures as well as different body/head sculps for everything to movies, games, and characters. I think i spent some where around $250 to $300 for him when all was said and done. I was so proud that I managed to hunt him down second hand but with all of his parts and packing.

loved hearing about your grails! hope santa’s paying attention this year 😆 my two biggest grails are a 1983 crystal barbie (either version), which has been a wishlist doll since childhood, and monster high dawn of the dance lagoona. neither seems super hard to find secondhand or too outrageously expensive, the pricetag is just more than i’ve been able to justify for a single doll . but maybe if i get a bonus at work this year and don’t need it to pay bills i’ll treat myself 👀 OR maybe mattel will give us reproductions someday!
Honestly, doll-wise, I wish I still had my olc Samantha and Molly American Girl dolls from around the 90's/2000s, back before they got retired. I also wish I still had my Sailor Moon dolls (pretty ones, not ugly ones), also the Cardcaptors/Cardcaptor Sakura dolls from when the show first came to the states (though the bendy skeleton deal with them and the fact my old ones got moldy not so much). The Dollfies and Giselle are my only big ones beyond that.
This was super fun to listen to! If we're talking UNREALISTIC grails, I'd probably want the Utena and Anthy dollfies or the Haunted Beauty Zombie Bride Barbie. I also agree on Princess Jade. There's also some integrity toys I'd love to own, but I don't wanna go down the whole IT rabbit hole as a collector. Haunt Couture Drac is ony my list too and probably the most obtainable one, if it werent for crazy shipping/customs cuz I live in Europe and most of them are sold in the USA. Same with bratz x meangirls but I think thats the collective unobtainable grail of the whole community … which is sad, lol
Although the Tonner company is no longer with us, Robert Tonner is still designing dolls. Virtual Doll Convention sells some of his new dolls. He also occasionally collaborates with differnet companies on dolls.

I own a number 2 Barbie. People might wonder why not a #1 instead. They have the same value, but #2 are more rare because they were made in lowest amount. Same for an original #2 stand, way rarer than a #1 stand. I bought mine throught ebay, theres tricks to differentiate a fake #1 or 2. Overall they are worth I feel around 5000. If the doll is a early handpainted #1 or if the doll comes with a vintage link silhouette box, the price will go up. Personnaly I would never buy from "known reputable" sellers. Because the only time I bought from one of them (a very well known one), there was a Barbie TM hatbox with the lot I bought. It was the item I was the more excited to get, and when I got it, the front of the hatbox, with the Barbie TM logo, was a paper photocopy glued on the hatbox. And When I brought it to them, they were like "if you dont want the lot send it back" even tho I wanted to keep the clothes, I just wanted a discount for the hatbox, because it wasnt OK to sell it as real. Since I saw and heard many shady things about them, and overall make me realised that "official" known sellers, are money hungry, and its something to be cautious about when its comes to pricey dolls. Reputation doesnt mean the items will be good or well priced.
My most unrealistic grail doll is the Tonner Padme Amidala doll with her trunk/extra outfit. I don't know the exact price since the doll doesn't really come up for sale often and the trunk even less so... but I know it's in like the $5000 range. Silly things on my collecting wishlist that are also pretty unrealistic are: a lifesize Jar Jar Binks statue, a 90s era Ronald McDonald bench where you can sit next to him, and a Trick or Treat Studios screen-accurate Annabelle doll. I want to sit Annabelle in Ronald's lap. I would also like a 90s era Chuck E Cheese mascot head.
One of my grails is tonner x the golden compass Lyra Silvertongue, with all her outfits (but most specifically, the winter coat outfit). She’s so detailed and gorgeous, and based on one of my very favourite characters ever. I never see her for sale, she was a limited edition of 1000 in 2008 and the movie flopped.

As a long time fan of My Little Pony I think my ultimate grail would have to be one of the 1984 Takara ponies that had little nubby bodies and stood on 2 legs with full outfits and everything, I just find them so charming. There are hardly even a lot of pictures of them let alone listings but a girl can dream ;u;
I would LOVE a repro of the Princess line from Bratz. They've been on my wishlist ever since MGA started doing the repros, so here's to hoping they continue because I am not paying hundreds of doll-hairs for a little plastic woman 🤞
god my grail doll for over a decade was the volks sheryl nome doll. i was soooo lucky to find her second hand for $350 this year rather than her usual $2k omg . truly collecting feels so worth it when you finally find that grail for a "decent" price while you have expendable income lol

Kaito was my gateway into Dollfies. I knew about DDs for years (vocaloid fan) but what I gathered is that the boy Dollfies are even harder to stomach secondhand (because of the bodies.)

I tend to collect only one type of doll at a time, but I love seeing other people's collections, especially when they have dolls that I don't collect. I can enjoy them vicariously! In terms of grails, I have a Supergirl doll collection, and there's one Tonner Supergirl, wearing the two-piece blue costume, that I don't have. She's pricey, at least around $500, but maybe one day I'll have them. I also have a small Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm collection, and I'd love to have MIB large Ideal dolls. That's not too unrealistic because they can be found on eBay, but I can't swing it right now. I'd also like Funko Supergirls and Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm. Again, not too unrealistic, but I need to quit buying Barbies so I can get them. One caveat about getting your grails: I collected Ellowyne Wilde (Tonner) for a good ten years. I have a large, extensive collection, and have managed to get all of my grails. Don't get me wrong. I love having my grails. But there isn't much in the Ellowyne world for me anymore. I have the dolls that I want and the new Ellowyne dolls that are being marketed aren't really my thing. So I've gone back to Barbie. No real grails because, for me, the fun is in customizing them and I can do that with inexpensive dolls, not incredibly expensive collectibles. Merry Christmas and I hope Santa overlooks that little pyromaniac thingie.

Just over the current month I've seen the Sailor Mercury Dollfie at around $600 both on Vinted and some secondhand Japanese websites, which is still an enormous price but half the price you showed on the video, so maybe some of these are more accessible than they seem! Miracles do exist, haha! Edit: Also, to think I had the Flora and Aisha Glam Magic Enchantix dolls as a child (and still have them but Flora's condition could be so much better) I just wish I could travel back in time!
Not standard fashion dolls but I'd kill for some of the Kotobukiya Bishoujo statues. I want the Pinkie Pie, Micheal Myers, Leatherface, and Tiffany, and Megatron ones really badly. They retailed at about $150 USD i believe which is far to expensive for me but i love staring at them online.

I grew up owning a full set of the learning curve totally spies dolls and maaan do i wish i still had them 😭😭😭😭😭 I remember finding them with my mom in 2006 at a kmart or like a dollar store or ollies or something of that nature, a store that had a lot of toys that were not brand name. We were both like "Wow i never knew they made dolls of totally spies!" I remember the dvds the dolls came with very well, i replayed them to death because i didnt have cable a lot of the time lol
Yesss....! The Violette Barbie is probably one of the best Barbies... No, best DOLLS ever made. Everything about her is so gorgeous-- Would be a dream to own one. I don't collect too much anymore, but I primarily collected Japanese dolls. My grail dolls would be Sun Sun Eli, a scarce "Malibu Version" of an already rare Japanese exclusive friend of Barbie, the original "Nice to Meet You" release of the "Be My Baby Cherry" Doll by Odani Miyuki, the "Maxi" hair color Lady Licca doll, and the very elusive Kurombo Licca.
For me my grail dolls are the Anthy and Utena Dollfies (I am a member of the dollfie envy club) I’m actually lucky enough to have my other big one though! She’s not terribly expensive and she was my first big purchase with my first paycheck from my current job lol, I have the Azone Princess Syalis doll. I have loved Maoujou de oyasumi/sleepy princess in the demons castle since I read a scanlation of the manga lol but there isn’t a ton of merch for it. I managed to find an official retailer that had one still in stock for less than the second hand market price and snagged her. One of her hands doesn’t like to stay on if I move her but she is my favorite doll that I own lol.
My personal holly grail is a mix of price and 'do I realistically have the space to devote to this doll' (the later point is a big factor in why I tend to admire dolls from a distance rather then actually buy them....): A white-body Samantha American Girl Doll. The early AG dolls used to have white bodies and longer, softer looking eye lashes, and the Samantha doll had more brown-ish looking hair instead of the more stark black of later dolls. I saw some gorgeous fan photos of her back in high school, and I still dream about how different that particular Samantha doll feels in comparison to her later versions

Princess Bratz..idk, may get reproduced. The Mini Bratz that have came out, seem to have full size come out too. We had the sleepover Mini figures , then we got the full size. The most recent Mini Bratz figures were Treasures & Princess. I know nothing, but it's interesting. 🤷♀️
I'm an AG collector, and my holy grails are Addy's Cape Island dress (runs about $300+), Caroline's parlour (I've never seen it lower than $600, and that's not necessarily with all the little accessories), and Addy's trunk (usually about $200+).

The modern day 'Santa Baby' wishlist. You could add some things to a Throne Wishlist, if your community is interested in that sort of thing. I am not a doll collector, but those Sailor Moon and that Chii doll are so beautiful, even I would be interested. I do collect the Pokemon Cards, but I'm pretty casual about it. My world is not going to end if I don't have a master set of anything, and I am not going to drop a stupid amount of money. My big ticket unrealistic goal though? I work in the tech section of a department store and Sony has a lot to answer for. They keep releasing very pretty coloured PS5 controllers, and I low key want to collect them like Pokemon Cards. The current Chroma series has particularly nice ones.

I recently got my grail for an absolute steal. I got the Batman The Animated Series behind the scenes art book. They only made 500 and they go for hundreds of dollars but I fount one at a thrift store for $80. Mine is #493 out of 500 and I love having it 😊❤

A solid wish list! My grails are hard to find, so I don't know what a good price for them would be. Sea Stunnerz Sasha, I have never even seen her for sale. Bratz Nighty- Nite 2008 Second Edition Sasha; I HAD her, picked her up naked at a thrift store 15 or so years ago. I had no idea How hard she would be to replace. I gave her away along with 75% of my doll collection (It was a hard couple of years y'all) and now I can't find her to buy; I miss her a lot. Lastly, Monster High G2 Music Class Cleo, I just love her and her accessories
my grails are sakura miku dollfie and haunt couture draculaura. i also would like sailor moon dolfie but in her super sailor moon outfit.. if they ever do a non-lottery re-release i might go for her. I know sakura miku is also getting a re-release very soon, but i already have one dollfie on a payment plan (alisae from ffxiv luckily she was also for sale on the square website which allowed for a year long payment plan... which wokrs out because she doesnt even ship until november of next year) thats the annoying thing about volks is the lottery type releases. i will say, i love Iori too but shes made using the Dollfie Pretty body type and let me tell you, finding clothes that actually fit that body type is so difficult. It seems volks has abandoned it (i think iori is still the only one who uses that body) I bought a blank one in that size because i wanted to make a custom doll, not realizing that shes not actually 1/3rd scale shes some bizarre inbetween 1/4th and 1/3rd so if you ever get iori and want to dress her up with clothes that are not her default, i wish you good luck! now im curious about what other dolls are you hiding from us :P
One unrealistic set of dolls ( or even one ) that I would love, but no way would ever pay what they go for, is the Barbie...( I forgot their official label ), the Haunted Forest, Vampire, etc. They're like over $800 I believe. But fricken amazing.
Newest grail for me that's probably unattainable: a be my baby Cherry doll, honestly I'd be happy with almost any of them. But secondhand they're like 1K, and although they're around $400 new my personal max for a doll is around $200, plus I'd have to navigate getting it from Japan which isn't easy because dolls sold on the official website go quick, and is also expensive with proxies and shipping. She's so cute though...
Omg princess jade was one of my favorite dolls I got her when I turned 13 and stull have her I coukd never let her go but I think I lost a lot if her extra stuff but the doll is still in great shape so I'm happy I still have mine ❤
I’m not a doll collector but I do collect k-pop photocards, and there’s a particular photocard of Hongjoong from the group Ateez that has been one of my holy grail photocards for a long time (specifically the Movement Makestar Winner photocard). However, this photocard very rarely goes up for sale and whenever it does it’s for very large amounts that far exceed my budget, so I’ve just accepted that this photocard will never find it’s way to my collection 😅

My grail doll definitely has to be the life-size version of M3GAN. She is my favorite horror character, and I would love to have a full scale movie sized version of her. However, she is really expensive and every time I try to tell my family about it, they always say she is too expensive for a doll. For now, I will just wait for the Monster High Skullector version of her.
I've been low key hoping for a grails video from you. I primarily collect plush toys, my current grail is the 2007 japan exclusive year of the boar build a bear. Very limited numbers especially in the US and I have been unsuccessful in finding any on japanese auction websites. I've only seen 1 sold listing on ebay that was for about $800! would love to have one so bad. Another big white whale for me: there are these beetle shaped tamagotchi things called mushi pets. I do have one that I am very proud of, but its not in the best condition and I'd love to have a functioning one. There are a few versions of them that are more realistically beetle shaped and I would looooove those as well. And the worst part is, the only image I've ever seen of them is from a listing for two of them that sold for like $30. Insanely jealous!!!!

Not a doll collector but as a diehard lifelong Tomb Raider fan that Legend doll looks so gorgeous. I'm surprised it never occurred to me before that Lara probably would translate extremely well to doll form and they really brought out her beauty and steely strength in that one.
Sidenote: Legend Lara is the definitive version for me, especially with her voice by Keeley Hawes who just- is Lara Croft to me, even though games-wise I'm a "Gen 1" fan all the way.
The mana sama dollfie is a holy grail for like half the older bjd community. Its not for me and for that im grateful every day.
My original biggest grail was a soom supergem amber on a beryle body and i was lucky enough to get her legit for $400 years back when soom lost popularity.
My other grails are all old bjd by companies that went under years ago. One is a head that i dont think the company that made her sold a single one of and so shes lost forever in time. The other is a IOS Taurus head in jet black resin, a color they retired and would not do for me even by special request 😢

My holy grail has to be Silkstone Barbie 10 years tribute gold label from 2010. To me, she is absolutely gorgeous in her embroidered blue dress with the side ruffles. Her makeup is everything. Love her! 🥰
oh that Miku doll in the fan suggestions is beautiful. That's the only one that really stood out to me as someone who isn't a doll collector. This was definitely an interesting video though, it's nice to see the higher end, unrealistic to obtain prices and see how widely prices can vary.
also a lot of those prices are nuts, reminds me of G1 transformers, those go insanely priced. I don't collect those either, but some of the G1 stuff is in the several thousand dollars, especially MIB.

As someone that mostly collects BJD's with a smattering of Barbies, Tonners, and porcelain dolls I feel blessed enough to say that I pretty much own every doll I've wanted. A lot of saving, searching and a little luck! I say pretty much because the only dolls I do want that I don't actually have just aren't available to buy secondhand. I'd love to get my hands on some of the big bunnies from Cocotribe but they rarely even appear on the bjd market much less places like ebay or mercari. And, one doll I'd love to have just doesn't exist yet. A John Ratcliffe doll, I'm actually sort of surprised that Disney hasn't made him at all yet.

Not an active doll collector myself but I've been collecting figures and plushies for basically my whole life and the pricing on resales for those are also outrageous. Current grails are the Horror Bishoujo Tiffany, Chucky, and Edward Scissorhands and the PopMart Molly SpongeBob BJD.
Also been collecting merchandise of a specific character from this defunct Mars themed restaurant that existed in NYC in the late 90s-2012 and I got possibly the best piece of collectors merch for FREE. Someone posted a few weeks ago about needing to get rid of the head to the alien mascot suit and I managed to snag it before any of the three other people that are active in that forum could. My dream is to one day own the whole suit, but this is honestly the most unrealistic thing I could ever want since the person who gave me the head was there for the restaurant closing and was told the suits were being trashed.
My grail doll was the TBLeague Anubis doll. I wanted to have a full fledged soft body but anatomically correct figure of Anubis as my safety toy. I love the idea of having the guardian of the under world with you at all times, it's comforting. TBLeague has changed hands over the years but the dolls are still out there. They make AMAZING figures as well as different body/head sculps for everything to movies, games, and characters. I think i spent some where around $250 to $300 for him when all was said and done. I was so proud that I managed to hunt him down second hand but with all of his parts and packing.

my two biggest grails are a 1983 crystal barbie (either version), which has been a wishlist doll since childhood, and monster high dawn of the dance lagoona. neither seems super hard to find secondhand or too outrageously expensive, the pricetag is just more than i’ve been able to justify for a single doll . but maybe if i get a bonus at work this year and don’t need it to pay bills i’ll treat myself 👀 OR maybe mattel will give us reproductions someday!

Honestly, doll-wise, I wish I still had my olc Samantha and Molly American Girl dolls from around the 90's/2000s, back before they got retired. I also wish I still had my Sailor Moon dolls (pretty ones, not ugly ones), also the Cardcaptors/Cardcaptor Sakura dolls from when the show first came to the states (though the bendy skeleton deal with them and the fact my old ones got moldy not so much). The Dollfies and Giselle are my only big ones beyond that.

If we're talking UNREALISTIC grails, I'd probably want the Utena and Anthy dollfies or the Haunted Beauty Zombie Bride Barbie. I also agree on Princess Jade. There's also some integrity toys I'd love to own, but I don't wanna go down the whole IT rabbit hole as a collector.

I own a number 2 Barbie. People might wonder why not a #1 instead. They have the same value, but #2 are more rare because they were made in lowest amount. Same for an original #2 stand, way rarer than a #1 stand. I bought mine throught ebay, theres tricks to differentiate a fake #1 or 2. Overall they are worth I feel around 5000. If the doll is a early handpainted #1 or if the doll comes with a vintage link silhouette box, the price will go up. Personnaly I would never buy from "known reputable" sellers. Because the only time I bought from one of them (a very well known one), there was a Barbie TM hatbox with the lot I bought. It was the item I was the more excited to get, and when I got it, the front of the hatbox, with the Barbie TM logo, was a paper photocopy glued on the hatbox. And When I brought it to them, they were like "if you dont want the lot send it back" even tho I wanted to keep the clothes, I just wanted a discount for the hatbox, because it wasnt OK to sell it as real. Since I saw and heard many shady things about them, and overall make me realised that "official" known sellers, are money hungry, and its something to be cautious about when its comes to pricey dolls. Reputation doesnt mean the items will be good or well priced.
My most unrealistic grail doll is the Tonner Padme Amidala doll with her trunk/extra outfit. I don't know the exact price since the doll doesn't really come up for sale often and the trunk even less so... but I know it's in like the $5000 range.
Silly things on my collecting wishlist that are also pretty unrealistic are: a lifesize Jar Jar Binks statue, a 90s era Ronald McDonald bench where you can sit next to him, and a Trick or Treat Studios screen-accurate Annabelle doll. I want to sit Annabelle in Ronald's lap. I would also like a 90s era Chuck E Cheese mascot head.
One of my grails is tonner x the golden compass Lyra Silvertongue, with all her outfits (but most specifically, the winter coat outfit). She’s so detailed and gorgeous, and based on one of my very favourite characters ever. I never see her for sale, she was a limited edition of 1000 in 2008 and the movie flopped.
Also, most of the lolita brand collab pullips…. Sigh

god my grail doll for over a decade was the volks sheryl nome doll. i was soooo lucky to find her second hand for $350 this year rather than her usual $2k omg . truly collecting feels so worth it when you finally find that grail for a "decent" price while you have expendable income lol

I tend to collect only one type of doll at a time, but I love seeing other people's collections, especially when they have dolls that I don't collect. I can enjoy them vicariously! In terms of grails, I have a Supergirl doll collection, and there's one Tonner Supergirl, wearing the two-piece blue costume, that I don't have. She's pricey, at least around $500, but maybe one day I'll have them. I also have a small Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm collection, and I'd love to have MIB large Ideal dolls. That's not too unrealistic because they can be found on eBay, but I can't swing it right now. I'd also like Funko Supergirls and Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm. Again, not too unrealistic, but I need to quit buying Barbies so I can get them. One caveat about getting your grails: I collected Ellowyne Wilde (Tonner) for a good ten years. I have a large, extensive collection, and have managed to get all of my grails. Don't get me wrong. I love having my grails. But there isn't much in the Ellowyne world for me anymore. I have the dolls that I want and the new Ellowyne dolls that are being marketed aren't really my thing. So I've gone back to Barbie. No real grails because, for me, the fun is in customizing them and I can do that with inexpensive dolls, not incredibly expensive collectibles. Merry Christmas and I hope Santa overlooks that little pyromaniac thingie.

Just over the current month I've seen the Sailor Mercury Dollfie at around $600 both on Vinted and some secondhand Japanese websites, which is still an enormous price but half the price you showed on the video, so maybe some of these are more accessible than they seem! Miracles do exist, haha!
Edit: Also, to think I had the Flora and Aisha Glam Magic Enchantix dolls as a child (and still have them but Flora's condition could be so much better) I just wish I could travel back in time!
Not standard fashion dolls but I'd kill for some of the Kotobukiya Bishoujo statues. I want the Pinkie Pie, Micheal Myers, Leatherface, and Tiffany, and Megatron ones really badly. They retailed at about $150 USD i believe which is far to expensive for me but i love staring at them online.

I grew up owning a full set of the learning curve totally spies dolls and maaan do i wish i still had them 😭😭😭😭😭 I remember finding them with my mom in 2006 at a kmart or like a dollar store or ollies or something of that nature, a store that had a lot of toys that were not brand name. We were both like "Wow i never knew they made dolls of totally spies!" I remember the dvds the dolls came with very well, i replayed them to death because i didnt have cable a lot of the time lol

My grail dolls would be Sun Sun Eli, a scarce "Malibu Version" of an already rare Japanese exclusive friend of Barbie, the original "Nice to Meet You" release of the "Be My Baby Cherry" Doll by Odani Miyuki, the "Maxi" hair color Lady Licca doll, and the very elusive Kurombo Licca.

For me my grail dolls are the Anthy and Utena Dollfies (I am a member of the dollfie envy club) I’m actually lucky enough to have my other big one though! She’s not terribly expensive and she was my first big purchase with my first paycheck from my current job lol, I have the Azone Princess Syalis doll. I have loved Maoujou de oyasumi/sleepy princess in the demons castle since I read a scanlation of the manga lol but there isn’t a ton of merch for it. I managed to find an official retailer that had one still in stock for less than the second hand market price and snagged her. One of her hands doesn’t like to stay on if I move her but she is my favorite doll that I own lol.

My personal holly grail is a mix of price and 'do I realistically have the space to devote to this doll' (the later point is a big factor in why I tend to admire dolls from a distance rather then actually buy them....): A white-body Samantha American Girl Doll. The early AG dolls used to have white bodies and longer, softer looking eye lashes, and the Samantha doll had more brown-ish looking hair instead of the more stark black of later dolls. I saw some gorgeous fan photos of her back in high school, and I still dream about how different that particular Samantha doll feels in comparison to her later versions

A solid wish list! My grails are hard to find, so I don't know what a good price for them would be. Sea Stunnerz Sasha, I have never even seen her for sale. Bratz Nighty- Nite 2008 Second Edition Sasha; I HAD her, picked her up naked at a thrift store 15 or so years ago. I had no idea How hard she would be to replace. I gave her away along with 75% of my doll collection (It was a hard couple of years y'all) and now I can't find her to buy; I miss her a lot. Lastly, Monster High G2 Music Class Cleo, I just love her and her accessories
my grails are sakura miku dollfie and haunt couture draculaura. i also would like sailor moon dolfie but in her super sailor moon outfit.. if they ever do a non-lottery re-release i might go for her. I know sakura miku is also getting a re-release very soon, but i already have one dollfie on a payment plan (alisae from ffxiv luckily she was also for sale on the square website which allowed for a year long payment plan... which wokrs out because she doesnt even ship until november of next year) thats the annoying thing about volks is the lottery type releases. i will say, i love Iori too but shes made using the Dollfie Pretty body type and let me tell you, finding clothes that actually fit that body type is so difficult. It seems volks has abandoned it (i think iori is still the only one who uses that body) I bought a blank one in that size because i wanted to make a custom doll, not realizing that shes not actually 1/3rd scale shes some bizarre inbetween 1/4th and 1/3rd so if you ever get iori and want to dress her up with clothes that are not her default, i wish you good luck! now im curious about what other dolls are you hiding from us :P

I’m not a doll collector but I do collect k-pop photocards, and there’s a particular photocard of Hongjoong from the group Ateez that has been one of my holy grail photocards for a long time (specifically the Movement Makestar Winner photocard). However, this photocard very rarely goes up for sale and whenever it does it’s for very large amounts that far exceed my budget, so I’ve just accepted that this photocard will never find it’s way to my collection 😅

My grail doll definitely has to be the life-size version of M3GAN. She is my favorite horror character, and I would love to have a full scale movie sized version of her. However, she is really expensive and every time I try to tell my family about it, they always say she is too expensive for a doll. For now, I will just wait for the Monster High Skullector version of her.

I've been low key hoping for a grails video from you. I primarily collect plush toys, my current grail is the 2007 japan exclusive year of the boar build a bear. Very limited numbers especially in the US and I have been unsuccessful in finding any on japanese auction websites. I've only seen 1 sold listing on ebay that was for about $800! would love to have one so bad. Another big white whale for me: there are these beetle shaped tamagotchi things called mushi pets. I do have one that I am very proud of, but its not in the best condition and I'd love to have a functioning one. There are a few versions of them that are more realistically beetle shaped and I would looooove those as well. And the worst part is, the only image I've ever seen of them is from a listing for two of them that sold for like $30. Insanely jealous!!!!
