My grandfather was hit by a drunk driver coming home late after helping his daughter put together a couch.... He was hit out of his shoes and had a stroke that left him in a wheelchair 2 years later. It sucks.

I lost both of my parents to substance abuse, but in different ways. My father committed suicide many years ago - he was just left ravaged by 30+ years of cocaine, alcohol and opioids. 15 or so years after he died, my mother died of overdose.
I went through my own addiction hell in the past. Fortunately, that is another lifetime ago. I'll always be an addict, though. Keeping healthy each day is of most importance to me.
And from my own experiences, that I have mentioned here: You have to *REALLY WANT* sobriety in order to truly appreciate it.

Here's the thing with alcoholics/addicts: The only way they can get their life together is them actually wanting to. You can't force them. Some of them have to hit rock bottom (unfortunately) to finally want to change their life for the better. I know this really well. Clean date: 4/15/15 (BTW, I didn't hurt anyone, homelessness was my rock bottom)

My guess is that all those years of doing ECW style wrestling caught up with him years and and nobody told him 20 years ago to pace himself. The guy is in probably so much pain that he's self-medicated for the last 2 decades and doesn't know what being sober looks like. As a chronic pain sufferer, I can relate. I don't get into a car when I'm on medication, and I'm lucky to have found CBD, which doesn't get you high, but he needs to first dry out, then go to a legitimate pain specialist who can help him manage his pain without being high out of his mind all the time. The guy's body must be an absolute wreck at this point. He shouldn't even be in the ring. He should be retired and doing mentoring or managing in wrestling, not jumping off scaffolds and other insane things. But a pain specialist would really help him. He needs to dry out and get off the drugs and alcohol first, though. I'd frame it as sending him to a pain specialist, not rehab, because he's going to look at that as an attack. He probably doesn't see himself as an addict because he's in pain. That's the only way you're going to get this guy clean.

I went through some really bad alcohol problems and almost lost everything and took the shot vivitroll. once a month for 6 months. it closes receptors and urges etc. I can't even smell it without getting sick and even if I could drink alcohol I can't get a buzz or drunk. I've been clean almost 3 years now. my point is why people with means don't get this and continue to have issues. it's 4k a shot and my insurance covered it but that is not a lot for these guys.

I love the Harry’s but when Jeff left the wwe earlier in the year they stated it was because he refused to go to rehab, I said at the time I don’t blame them and it’s scary because he’s been through this time and again, meaning why would he refuse rehab , he first attempted to say it was nothing then said for him sobriety didn’t work , to me a former addict in sobriety that basically meant I’m not ready the now I’m still having fun. Sadly the crazy thing is the money he makes makes his addictions easier he would of hit total rock bottom and just taking to stop being sick by now if he didn’t have so much cash but I really wish him well, it’s hard but hopefull the dui is rock bottom this time . I find it disturbing that Matt and co seemed to support hun leaving the wwe and his decision of not going to rehab but maybe they had no choice and I commend him in many ways as maybe he just didn’t want to speak ill of his brother l. I truly wish you well Jeff, we love you man .

Your wrong about one thing and that is no drugs in jail . There are loads of drugs in jail and there is booze smuggled in as well. Jail is one of the worst places for getting off drugs in fact people who never did drugs before have come out of jail drug addicts. Also compliance does not work anyway ultimatums don't work with drug addicts and alcoholics they only change when they want to change. Nothing else works. They have to hit rock bottom besides Jeff would get the star treatment form inmates and be showered with gifts of drugs and alcohol . Trying to force compliance will fail every time
