He is lying though and that can hurt people who take advice from him. 73 percs a day, no way can even the Keith Richards could handle that much dope a day. Kurt needs to stop lying. Lying tells me he isnt recovering the right way.
It makes sense tbh. I never watched TNA but as a wrestling fan, I remember - Angle's debut, Booker T's debut, and the first episode h2h vs RAW in 2010. The fact that these segments reached someone who isn't a TNA viewer shows the value of these wrestlers.
Kurt Angle is one of my favorite pro wrestlers of all time. People joke about perc Angle but they don't realize how close this man came to death. Me, my brother, and one of our friends(another pro wrestling fan) went to a bunch of TNA events from 2006-2009 and we saw a lot of Kurt Angle. Particularly, we went to a bunch of fan meet and greets and one for TNA Slammiversary '07 had me so scared as a fan for Kurt Angle's health. He was so doped up and out of it that he was in and out of consciousness but kept falling asleep. We could all tell Angle was high as hell and I said to my brother that I actually thought Kurt would be dead soon. I'm so glad as a fan of his that he got everything straight and is much better because if he'd kept going like he was, he'd have been another pro wrestling cautionary tale.
I am so happy he managed to sort his life out and is willing to talk about it openly it takes a really strong man to not only sort his life out and get over ardictions but to openly talk about what a mess it was what a legend
There is something that has to be stated about the human condition that is reprehensible. Kurt Angle was at his peak as an in ring performer when he was determined towards self destruction and the end in the ring. I suspect this is why rock stars and wrestlers were successfully marketed towards the launch of stated sports entertainment by Vince McMahon and the WWF. Both are trapped in their success. Both find people inclined towards self destruction. How much difference is there between a Kurt Angle and an Ozzy Osborne? They both created their masterpieces through altered states of mind, end results be damned.
I was on Vicodin for about 6 months following a car wreck due to nerve damage. I was able to escape addiction but can easily see how one could become addicted. Happy to hear Kurt admitting and overcoming his addictions.
Vicodin is so fucking awesome. I had so many great experiences on them in 8th grade and I guess I was young enough where I didn’t develop any dependence whatsoever. Just great memories all around
I would have preferred actual surprise appearances by Angle, Ken Shamrock, or AJ Lee to the predictable ones by the Rock and Undertaker, and especially Hogan
@ not totally disagreeing. But Taker and Rock have been so frequently used that it was predictable. For the big Netflix debut, I’d have preferred something actually unexpected. Angle would have fit the bill.
There are a lot of wrestlers that I wish could've stayed in WWF/WWE. But when it comes down to Kurt Angle, I'm glad that he left WWE when he did. He knew his addictions were bad & this was after Eddie Guerrero's death in 2005 & before the Chris Benoit tragedy in 2007. Kurt knew that if he had stayed, he would've OD'd on drugs or (IMO) actually commit suicide. Either way, I don't know how old Kurt Angle was at the time his release, but I do know that he would've been added to the list of pro wrestlers who tragically passed away before the age of 40 & more than likely, there would've been a DSOTR episode of him. Thank god Vince McMahon released Kurt Angle when he did because we would've been living in a different timeline if he decided not to release him.
He ain’t lying about the amount. I was very near that myself. The acetaminophen in the painkillers with the alcohol have destroyed my liver. I’m recovering but it’s a long ass road
It does & it would. Same for the vicodin he mentioned. Not to mention how that much hydro or oxycodone wouldnt be much different than straight morphine & would eventually stop his breathing.
if everything Kurt was saying was true, (it's ____ true) I'm not very educated on the subject Kurt is talking about, but I'm guessing there are doctors that would say it's a miracle Kurt is still with us (just the amount of stuff he says he was taking)
I understand stand addiction long ago I had my demons this is one of those weird deals though you need pain meds to work due to legitimate injury and they make you feel great the hard part is the bottle says four a day and you got to stick to it no matter how much you want the high or you will get in trouble 2,500 pills a day is little bit more then doc wanted you on 😂
I'll never believe he took that many Vicodins, (hydrocodone & tylenol) to be clear,or Percocets, (oxycodone & tylenol) for very long without either waking up dead from respiratory suppresion or,& esp when he started drinking too, slowly dying over a cpl of months from liver failure. If that's true, he's either the luckiest guy alive or from krypton..😂
When you have star power in the wrestling business. Him pulling that off wouldn't be surprising especially training in the gym. His body I can just imagine how much it was in overdrive all the time.
Stop talking about Puerto Rico like that. If it was like that in PR before, it was also like that in the United States because we let ourselves be carried away by the rules of the United States.
Mr Angle isn't dodging his bad choices and isn't making excuses. Thats a sign of someone who is truly in recovery.
He is lying though and that can hurt people who take advice from him. 73 percs a day, no way can even the Keith Richards could handle that much dope a day. Kurt needs to stop lying. Lying tells me he isnt recovering the right way.
I am proud of Kurt Angle for the changes that he made in his life. Good morning all
For all of Dixie's faults (there's a lot) at least she recognized the value of Kurt Angle as literally the best star TNA would ever sign
And she seems to have gone out of her way to help him.

Kurt Angle is one of the best wrestlers of all time. Legend.

They don’t call him Perc Angle for nothing…
I'm a huge fan of Kurt, it's crazy to hear these stories first hand. I always thought that his addiction was exaggerated due to the Perc Angle meme.
I am so happy he managed to sort his life out and is willing to talk about it openly it takes a really strong man to not only sort his life out and get over ardictions but to openly talk about what a mess it was what a legend
Rip black bart

Whoa whoa Dutch AND Kurt on the same show. I love it
It's a shame we didn't get Angle on Monday instead of Hogan. He's fought some demons for sure but he never let them turn him into one.
Without the Immortal Hulk Hogan There wouldn't be a Wrestling Industry
I would have preferred actual surprise appearances by Angle, Ken Shamrock, or AJ Lee to the predictable ones by the Rock and Undertaker, and especially Hogan
@@dkupkethey have them for later. The bigger names were necessary
@ not totally disagreeing. But Taker and Rock have been so frequently used that it was predictable. For the big Netflix debut, I’d have preferred something actually unexpected. Angle would have fit the bill.
Am I the only one who gets livid when people make the "Perc Angle" jokes?
Yes
Pretty much
Yeah. I needed my script filled back in the 2000s and there was a shortage of pain meds. They kindly explained that Mr Angle had dried the supply. 😛😛😛
"Hey its Sports entertainment, you are safe"
Broke his nexk 3 more times
Vicodin was so awesome in Jr High. I’d recommend it to anyone if I didn’t know that other people were at risk of developing a spiraling addiction

Kurt Angle: (admitting to multiple crimes)
Dutch: uh huh uh huh
Vince McMahon: "I like the view!"
Great show
Doesn't percocet contain paracetamol? Thought this amount would be fatal
It does & it would. Same for the vicodin he mentioned. Not to mention how that much hydro or oxycodone wouldnt be much different than straight morphine & would eventually stop his breathing.
Nurse here its not always the oxycodone or the opioids that kill you its the Tylenol that cooks your liver.
That comes out as 73 pills a day.
I did the same calculation 🤯
if everything Kurt was saying was true, (it's ____ true)
I'm not very educated on the subject Kurt is talking about, but
I'm guessing there are doctors that would say it's a miracle Kurt is still with us (just the amount of stuff he says he was taking)
Thought he was chewing a handful of percs in the beginning
God damn that’s a lot of percs holllyyy
So many beans. Perc Angle is a beast.
I'm surprised Kurt never went into MMA
I understand stand addiction long ago I had my demons this is one of those weird deals though you need pain meds to work due to legitimate injury and they make you feel great the hard part is the bottle says four a day and you got to stick to it no matter how much you want the high or you will get in trouble 2,500 pills a day is little bit more then doc wanted you on 😂
Perc Angle was good but Kurt Angle was great
Kurt we used to drive 14 80mg oxi contins a day in us. Not at once mind you but throughout day. Talk about getting stupid.
There's a chance he was receiving placebos in with his real meds. Idk.
Kurt doesn't strike me as a liar so I have to assume he was duped somehow.

Gm
Sounds like the weed smokers of today..
So addicted and cant handle life ...at all
Except no it doesn’t in any way at all
He said vicadin not Percocet, big difference.
I broke my neck in 1981, and I took some Vicodins. I stopped about 3 weeks later, and I just worked through it, brutal BROTHER!🫡🇺🇲
You figured it out quick. Most people just kept eating them like Pez candy.
