I kinda respect hoyoverse for the amount of effort they put into the game. Not only did they actually program a 2nd ending into the game, theres so many secrets to find whilst playing. I remember spending like 10 minutes in the 1st planet's hotel simply becuase you go through this entire storyline involving hiding inside the closet in your room

@@lilianne959 I’ll try that later. Hoyoverse put a lot more effort into dialogue in star rail, I got an achievement earlier for picking the pessimistic dialogue option 5 times lmao. It’s a great improvement over genshin, where half the dialogue options are just one sentence split into two options.
Some of the achievements that you get reflect your choices too; you get achievements for being sassy, silent, the typical goody-goody hero type etc. It really makes you feel that the Trailblazer is a reflection of you. It's too early to say if Star Rail will be like Mass Effect when it comes to choices sticking until the end, but I hope it gets close to it. Which is a nice departure from Genshin and HI3rd, where you are just there to witness the someone else's story.
There's an illusion of choice in Genshin with the dialogue unlike HSR where I'm scratching my head sometimes when they don't give you the option to click all dialogue options sometimes
I love when the player choices makes real difference in a game, like during the dialogues, the characters in Honkai SR reactions are accurate and actually match to what i did choose to say, unlike in Genshin that the two dialogue box options turns out to be the same sentence, only separated
Yes i read all conservation, it's more dynamic than HI3 and GI, you can make choices what you want to NPC... Hoyovers always making really good game .. not only gameplay but deep story is really good.....
I was actually rly surprised to see that ur choices actually do something in this game unlike genshin, i told arlan that i wasnt interested in helping him to be sassy in the text messages and i think i actually missed out on a quest in the process 😨
genshin has a lot of real time action and more robust exploration, but in turn, they decided on a single outcome story. HSR's action is minimized through the use of turn based mechanism, and less robust exploration. there's no intricate puzzle, no obscure cave that leads to massive underground level, there's barely any verticality, and so they can splurge their efforts more on well thought out alternate scenes and multiple outcomes.
Just seeing this ending just give me the chills, its just terrifying to see the friend you made on the way just die off, just reading at the end saying that "you hear stories about how the final end of the express" was just chilling, and the last sentence of that paragraph just made it even more sad, and this is a person(me) that just go on the train in the game.
fr, especially considering all the fun I had playing through the Jarilo-IV quest! just watching a player get the sad ending (even when i knew they knew what they were doing) was so heartbreaking like what if that truly went down the drain 😭
I love how your choices have actually consequences even if it's just something small. For example, when the part where they ask me whether to reset the android/human's memories or to tell her the truth that she's not a real human. If you tell her the truth, it somehow causes her system to go into shock and she dies but if you just let them reset her she would still be alive. Another small consequence is if i keep copying March 7's dialogue, sometime later in the story, she will call me out on it when someone copies me. She'll tell me "Now you know how it feels when someone copies you!" I thought that was cool that she remembered my past choices and she responded that way to me.
That's actually pretty sad, Welt and Himeko are like our parents and Dan Heng and March 7th our spiritual siblings, but we'll never know because of staying in the Herta station :(
Yeah it was from the archive thing about the Masked Fools organization, the description is like “Our Aeon will never give you up, let you down, turn around and desert you….” Etc, and says “-Asta Rickley”. It was very fitting lmaoo

Another funny thing that will happen is during the hide and seek quest with hook, if u are busy or forgotten the quest for 2 day u will find out that the kids were still hiding and waiting for u until their pass out from hunger and will get mad at u for this
The thing that ii like about Honkai SR is that your choice actually matters. I won't be spoiling any of the story but there are some missions that in the game that could end in different ways depending on the dialogue you chose.
that’ not welt’s va, that’s welt. i wont spoil anything, but his name used to be joachim before it was welt. this welt is the same welt as in honkai impact, so that’s how we know
"Welt" is technically an Inherited title. Welt means "World" in German, and it means he shoulder the world with him, he is the second Welt. so yeah in Honkai Impact he is a protector of world but before that he is just an ordinary boy from Finland named Joachim.

I tried to stay on the ship and see if I could just let them leave without the MC. I gave up though, thinking it wasn't programmed in. Turns out I just forgot to speak to Asta. Honestly, the ending might have made me tear up a little so I'm glad I found this.
It's so silly but at the same time it hit me hard 😭 the thought of the universe progress without the mc, the fact herta quickly lose interest in them and the way the mc would be living an ordinary life just like the npcs hit me deep bruh

ı didnt know our choices really changed the story so even though they strongly told me to lie to a certain npc in the space station for his own good i decided to tell him the truth anyway thinking it wouldnt change anything and the dude decided to leave the space station.... he literally left a letter for Herta and he left... I got -1 npc's in my space station...
As a person who played Genshin I definitely enjoy Star Rail more, the dialogue is much more natural and funny and isn’t always making me look into a dictionary to find out what a word means, no diss on Genshin but for me Star Rail is superior

I like the improvements and differences star rail has compared to Honkai and genshin. I hope that hoyoverse implements some of the features from star rail into honkai and genshin.

Funnily enough, I was one tap away from getting this ending in my first (and current) playthough, only that I may or may not have wanted to stick with Himeko, and the Express by proxy, after Honkai's fun and family friendly storyline left a scar deep in my soul

I don't know what to do with those things you give when you do good things like comfort someone, but those karma coins can do something in the end. This video also made me watch the part where if you also open the unlucky chest. You will fight weak creatures but there's an ominous warning about decisions that you make are very important. Any decisions. This makes me creep out on the highlighted red text when I decided some choices. I think red text on selected choice is bad.

Well remember even Antimatter legion is there enemy too and you woke you up thanks to them with a stellaron inside you. They're still antagonist to the protagonist cast goals but they're not the villain in this matter
i dunno why but spoiler* i have a feeling sampo is eilo or is in contact with eilo? if you complete the story quests for the second planet jarilo VI, he breaks the fourth wall??? and he says he played as a "side character". does that mean he knows the future and acts as a character to guide the mc into that future he foresaw??? i haven't unlocked all his character stories so this might not be true.
As we go through the story we will have to find it: that point where, if we weren't there they are doomed. It's not on the first planet since the team was able to make it back to visit a few times. It has to be long enough for the Express to have made multiple trips and for you to become a researcher. Hm..
I LOVE HONKAI: STAR RAIL BCUS OF THIS- like I've noticed that they included bad choices (especially in some quest) which really makes you think and choose wisely

Currently I'm only picking options based on what I'm rping my character as: an arrogant sarcastic asshole. Which means I bully March 7th almast evey time, her rections get me every time😂
I got this ending on accident lol also how did they manage without the MC is really cool, I keep wondering, do they got seriously super strong if the MC hadn't interfere and let their strength and power grow, cuz most of the time it's always the MC that take damage and does dmg to the enemy making the other characters doesn't really learn anything Example ; the fight with bronya's mother, if the MC wasn't there, They would've been DEAD. Or in that alternative ending, the fight will trigger someone's awakening, either Dan Heng or March , making them awaken their true power
Highly likely that Welt would be the one to go since MC wasn't there. That's their go-to team to "babysit" March. Welt can easily tank for Dan Heng and March in that boss fight.
you can literally story tell another plot armor, they been saved or avoided some obstacle "Insert character". Anyone can be a main character at that point :)
I mean Welt himself is already capable of destroying Planets by himself alone. The only reason why Welt is always in the express is because if he do participate the story won't last that long.

There's something about bad endings like this that send chills up my spine. Even just the image of the crew leaving without you is unsettling. Is it dread? Maybe fear? I am not sure how to describe why I feel this way.

Doubtful. They'll give you choices that won't affect the main story but will change the flavor of it at least.
From my experience in the beta your choices don't change the main story but can change the way a series of side quests ends

"Welt" is technically an Inherited title. Welt means "World" in German, and it means he shoulder the world with him, he is the second Welt. so yeah in Honkai Impact he is a protector of world but before that he is just an ordinary boy from Finland named Joachim.

I tried to stay on the ship and see if I could just let them leave without the MC. I gave up though, thinking it wasn't programmed in. Turns out I just forgot to speak to Asta.
Honestly, the ending might have made me tear up a little so I'm glad I found this.
It's so silly but at the same time it hit me hard 😭 the thought of the universe progress without the mc, the fact herta quickly lose interest in them and the way the mc would be living an ordinary life just like the npcs hit me deep bruh
i like the implication that things might go south if you actually stepped on the train we might get some really dark stuff in the future
i love the mc dialogue choices because they will actually respond differently depending on how you answer. i remember joking answering that mc (!!SPOILER!!) didnt now how he got his new powers. however, dan heng actually believed it and said they prolly didn’t remember what happened

The addition of the Stellaron Hunters in "The Final end of the Express and the Stellaron Hunters" hints that Kafka was neutralised too.
Well we know Kafka really did want us for some reason, so for us to just…not come would presumably spell disaster for her. Still, I’m really interested in how all this’ll end.

ı didnt know our choices really changed the story so even though they strongly told me to lie to a certain npc in the space station for his own good i decided to tell him the truth anyway thinking it wouldnt change anything and the dude decided to leave the space station.... he literally left a letter for Herta and he left... I got -1 npc's in my space station...

As a person who played Genshin I definitely enjoy Star Rail more, the dialogue is much more natural and funny and isn’t always making me look into a dictionary to find out what a word means, no diss on Genshin but for me Star Rail is superior

I like the improvements and differences star rail has compared to Honkai and genshin. I hope that hoyoverse implements some of the features from star rail into honkai and genshin.

Funnily enough, I was one tap away from getting this ending in my first (and current) playthough, only that I may or may not have wanted to stick with Himeko, and the Express by proxy, after Honkai's fun and family friendly storyline left a scar deep in my soul

This video also made me watch the part where if you also open the unlucky chest. You will fight weak creatures but there's an ominous warning about decisions that you make are very important. Any decisions. This makes me creep out on the highlighted red text when I decided some choices. I think red text on selected choice is bad.

Why do people act like this is something new? You can literally do hangout quest and it has the same,oh and just because it not main story quest doesn't mean hsr is better for it,genshin has a lot of meme and references to social media too,ofc it mostly from achievement which make sense,you can see nano machine son achievement when you keep applying electro to the dendro bird making it stronger,just like raiden keep punching Neo Armstrong... And no one talk about it,it almost feel like people here just ignoring some part of genshin to make their excuse more valid
Oh and people forgot what the person said in the first second,it is a turn based game,not a story open world game,why don't we talk about zelda? They don't have that because the ENTIRE GAME is story focus, but we only talk about genshin,kinda hypocritical.

Well remember even Antimatter legion is there enemy too and you woke you up thanks to them with a stellaron inside you. They're still antagonist to the protagonist cast goals but they're not the villain in this matter

have a feeling sampo is eilo or is in contact with eilo? if you complete the story quests for the second planet jarilo VI, he breaks the fourth wall??? and he says he played as a "side character". does that mean he knows the future and acts as a character to guide the mc into that future he foresaw??? i haven't unlocked all his character stories so this might not be true.
As we go through the story we will have to find it: that point where, if we weren't there they are doomed.
It's not on the first planet since the team was able to make it back to visit a few times. It has to be long enough for the Express to have made multiple trips and for you to become a researcher.

I got this ending on accident lol also how did they manage without the MC is really cool, I keep wondering, do they got seriously super strong if the MC hadn't interfere and let their strength and power grow, cuz most of the time it's always the MC that take damage and does dmg to the enemy making the other characters doesn't really learn anything
Example ; the fight with bronya's mother, if the MC wasn't there, They would've been DEAD. Or in that alternative ending, the fight will trigger someone's awakening, either Dan Heng or March , making them awaken their true power
Highly likely that Welt would be the one to go since MC wasn't there. That's their go-to team to "babysit" March. Welt can easily tank for Dan Heng and March in that boss fight.
you can literally story tell another plot armor, they been saved or avoided some obstacle "Insert character". Anyone can be a main character at that point :)
I mean Welt himself is already capable of destroying Planets by himself alone. The only reason why Welt is always in the express is because if he do participate the story won't last that long.

There's something about bad endings like this that send chills up my spine. Even just the image of the crew leaving without you is unsettling. Is it dread? Maybe fear? I am not sure how to describe why I feel this way.
