Pokémon Black is my favorite, but I have also enjoyed the recent gens even with their flaws. Scarlet/Violet has the best story since Black/White and some really good battles.
I also love emerald. Gen 3 is my favorite gen. Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby are the best Pokémon remakes.
Absolute classics, I go back and play every year, and it still brings me so much joy.
