First and foremost THANK YOU FOR POSTING THIS VIDEO!. I Hired a pool company and expected them to be professionals and, had nothing but problems a bunch of excuses why my pool water was turning Green. I finally had it thanks to your video my pool is Blue Literally within 24 hours. I'll just keep doing it my self. Thanks again God Bless you!
I opened our pool yesterday to a massive swamp. Ours is closed all winter and we are surrounded by tall maple trees so this happens every year. I find once you shock the pool enough to be able to see the leaves on the bottom, getting those leaves out is the key to getting clear water again. I know it’s going to take a lot of vacuuming to waste and more and more chlorine but I may try this product. GREAT VID BUD! Cheers from 🇨🇦✌🏼
Love this product. Prefer it over products at the pool store. I've had mixed results in when it would clear my pool depending on the condition, plus I have a pretty nice size pool 18x36. Been using for the 5 years I had a pool. My first year my pump failed and I had to replace it myself and that took almost two weeks. In the meantime my pool turned very dark almost black. Anyway because the pool store was trying to break my pockets I looked for alternative means of cleaning my water. I can't remember how I found out about this but it was on the shelf at Walmart for $20. I gave it a shot and boy was I happy and have used it ever since. The hth products are very effective and easy on the pockets.
This Product Really Works! I saw results in only 4 hours but I will wait for the full 24 hours before I begin to vacuum all the dead algae at the bottom of my 15'X30' Above Ground Pool to waste. Ooh Rah! (I purchased mine through Walmart and had it shipped to my home for FREE since my total order was over $35.00 even though this item is $20.
I did this to my pool and it worked ok n 24 hours. What I did different was instead of adding part 2 to the skimmer I pour it around the pool like part 1.
So it definitely still worked even though you added it to the pool directly? Thinking about doing the same thing, and wanted to be sure it still worked. 🙂
This system DOES work. We have a 27 foot round above ground pool and use this every year to open it now. After spending hundreds of dollars at the pool store for horrible results and upset kids. We now recommend it to all of our friends and even strangers when we see them looking at the box!! The key is.. you MUST have the right amount. We open ours with 4-5 boxes depending on how much debris is in the pool. It’s better to hit it hard and watch the results. Crystal clear over night. It’s drops to the bottom and looks a yucky brown, carefully vacuum to waste and you’re finished!! Just make sure you have enough for the amount of water in your pool. We have also called the company too our first time using it. They are great to talk to.
No crying that it didn't work in 24 hours. Every pool is different and the fact that it worked without you having to do a bunch of work is noteworthy. You pool is clear and you should be happy.
When you vacuum - you might loose water, but don't hook up hose to skimmer. It just gets everything dirty if you have a regular filter system and not a backwash system. I vacuumed my pool by hanging hose over a chair and clamping it down, it drained in to my french drain system instead back in to my filters. :) Water cleared faster.
I have small worms in the pool do I kill it we had a lot of rain my pool turned green in 2 day and it is still raining. What do I do. I have a intex above ground pool
Small worms sound more like bug larva. Mosquito larva will look like small worms. You were definitely wanna bump the chlorine in there and kill those off.
If the vacuum doesn't seem to have much suction, can I close the bottom drain off to increase it so I can use the vacuum better? Edit: this is connecting the vacuum hose into the skimmer box also, what do i set the filter to when vacuuming? Should i be discharging the water that gets vacuumed ?
I have a sand filter, do I add the second bag to the skimmer basket attached to the sand filter, or the skimmer on the pool, it’s a regular wall intex skimmer?
Hanan Hassan if you’re going to add it in your skimmer then I’d recommend that your filter be on recirculate. You don’t want it to go though your actually filter. I prefer to add both around the whole pool.
I need to same product for my hotel pool and How to purchase the chamical .and if we have to putting same chamical .have we run circulation pump or no ?
You should be able to get these at your local pool or hardware store, I have a link in the video description as well. Yes, you will have to be running the pumps, be sure to follow the directions on the bottle.
Omg I’ve been fighting this for two weeks and it cleared in less than24 I put in 3 bags of the shock then brushed then let it run for 3 hours then put in 1 bag step 2 to the skimmer let recirculate for a hour then turned it off over night
But it came back and that orange goop is so hard to get rid of .. so fast forward a week or two and it was bad again even keeping everything up .. so I put 3 big things of bleach and it cleaned up and stayed good
I’m thinking of getting it but the pool doesn’t come with a filter. Will it still work without a filter and how would I get the algae in the bottom since I don’t have a vacuum?
@@DoItYourselfDad so run the pump when you put in the first bag, don’t run the pump when you put in the second bag? Also, when you distribute the second bag, should you just do it around the edges or does it need to be all over?
The more evenly you can distribute at the better. Another thing you could try it’s just shocking the pool and running the pumps nonstop. Not using this method with the second step.
hi please helppp!!!! i did this and all the algae did drop to the bottom of pool and i have a robotic pool cleaner and i put it in put all the waste came back up to the pool what did i do wrong!!!??? i don’t have a waste option on sand filter only drain is that the same thing? and what does it mean sweep to waste???
Sounds like your filter isn't working properly. If you don't have a filter to waste option (down the drain) your filter should filter out the crud, then you'd have to clean your filter.
Marc R when you say vacuum to waste do you mean backwash? cause on my filter i just have a valve for backwash not waste..im new at this first yr with a pool
DoItYourselfDad then you need to purchase a better filter that is adequate to do the whole job. Not doing so is putting it right back into the system and perpetuating the cycle.

I've had this problem before, if your wanter turns brown after tossing in shock you have high iron in your water. The shock oxidized the iron making it brown (rust). Here's what I did to get the rust out of my water: th-cam.com/video/rQts8UGsfbw/w-d-xo.html
All you need to do is shock your pool. And not just one bag. Go crazy. Add twice the amount. The idea is to chemically 'shock' and kill everything in the water. When that happens the dead algae falls to the bottom to be vacuumed. The chlorine will naturally evaporate over a few days to an acceptable level. Using liquid chlorine or bleach works just as well for smaller pools like this one. Four bottles of liquid chlorine would've done fine for this pool. Adding one more after the algae is dead wouldn't hurt.

When you vacuum the pool, make sure you set it to waste as it will block your filter. The second ingredient is called floculent.
Can't set it to waste I have a cartridge filter so how does that work
*ANYBODY ELSE binge watching green to clear pool videos and don’t even have a pool* 😂

You're supposed to add the flocc (part 2) while the valve on the filter is set to recirculate.

Small worms sound more like bug larva. Mosquito larva will look like small worms. You were definitely wanna bump the chlorine in there and kill those off.
I was wondering if there is one product you can use instead of chlorine, ph and all these other separate products?
Sadly no, there isn't. At a minimum, you need to maintain your chlorine level and Ph. If you keep up on those your pool shouldn't even go green.
ph isn't a product...it is the level of acidity in the water. You use chemicals to control the ph levels.

When pool is circulating. Does it mean it is in filter position or in recirculate position?
It would depend on how the pool is plumbed, in my situation it’s always run into the filter
For step 2, the valve has to be set to "recirculate" not filter before you add the chemical.

Not sure.... ?
Then it will end up orange on the bottom of the pool. That's what mine did
