The actual problem card is Reprodocus. It is involved in almost all FTK strategies.
In Pen also in Master Duel I think with Ban this Card the Most FTK gonna Die

literally yesterday my brother and I was board on EDO and I said let's build pure decks with only in archetype cards only. he played machina and I chose tellars. I turboed into him every game and said yeah I don't know why Konami is afraid of cyber dragon infinity anymore they should just unban ptol. low and behold here we are tomorrow and it happened. I think the next deck I'm gonna play is dragon rulers :3
Fun dumb fact, LunalightXYZ can summon 2 Cyberdragon Infinities in one turn!
And Lunalights are a f*cking FUSION deck.

I can't wait to see Duality + Shadow's Light to see what crazy stuff we get. This ptolemaeus card I've heard but never understood while it was banned. Now I do! xD
I also just thought about cards that modulate a DARK or LIGHT mosnter's level for shenanigans. Gagaga Magician + Duality / Shadow's Light could be a potential combo as well.
modulating level doesnt work does it? the cards specified 'original level and type'
@@nichidoushiro I have read Duality and Shadow's Light and only see it as read:
Duality - Tribute 1 LIGHT or DARK monster you control; Special Summon 1 monster from your hand or Extra Deck with the same Type and Level, but a different Attribute, as the Tributed monster.
Shadow's Light - Target 1 DARK monster you control; Special Summon 1 LIGHT monster from your Deck or Extra Deck with the same Type and Level.
I'm talking about Gagaga Magician specifically. From level 1->8. These cards don't care if you alter the tributed monster's level, Type and/or attribute beforehand. Other cards can modulate Level. Type and/or Attribute but since both are Quick-Play, shenanigans could be lying in wait.
Dogmatika and Witchcrafters can easily cheat out Dragoon with Duality while Gagaga can cheat out you main deck level 8 Witchcrafters or Dogmatikas with Shadow's Light.
Shockingly that's not even the reason that ptolemaeus got banned! It was banned because back in pepe format because you were able to make it with 3 materials and rank up into cyber dragon nova, and then into infinity. At the time 3 level 4s for an omni-negate was considered way too strong, but it's cool how many ftks it can be used in now.
@@cosmic12321 are you sure the card text did not mention 'original'? because I checked both yugioh wikis, and also the ocg text, and they all mentioned the word 'original level and type' in its description, that's why I believe it does not work on level/type/attribute modulation effects.
edit: specifically for both ocg cards they used the word '元々の' which meant 'original' before talking about level and type
@@nichidoushiro Well, perhaps your right. I see the english translations did not mention "original" when mentioning type/level. I suppose we will have to wait until someone play tests them on ygopro or get an official ruling when they are properly played.

Ptolemaeus ftking everyone was my first reaction to the banlist as well. I was thinking more about some Gossip Shaddow tricks
Gossip shadow can only attach itself to numbers.

There was already an easy 2 card ftk for birds. You only need warbler and sparrow, not even a tenki, so it's a lot more consistent, for a telefon cannon soldier FTK.
Havnis will lead to some shenanigans to stop this every game

@@four-en-tee They only need 1 Havnis, 1 impermanence (ptolemaus effect)or 1 ash(to stop bird sanctuary search) and this shit blows up

Because of that, you can still do your typical Bird Up bullsh!t even after your opponent stopped your ftk since it only used TWO cards in your hand.

That reproducus ban is baking in the oven.
This should show why the central problem of yugioh is generic monsters/cards that should be archetype locked. Change ptlomeaus to require two level 4 tellarknight monsters or reprodocus two dino monsters etc and none of this is possible. People underestimate how generic cards create interactions with cards you wouldn't expect creating degeneracy.
They should have never unbanned tenki and the birds.Now you can consistently make the second best ftk in the game:ghostrick angle turbo

You can telefon ftk with the same 2 card combo, search Rescue Ferret off Shuraig and you only need 1 Recital. Then you Zealantis temp banish Cannon Soldier and Telefon to get their effects back.
Zealantis zone is bad for ferret tho
