Expansion move by TN Government is OK. But immedietely they start revising the house tax and water tax without providing any infrastructure. After infrastructure,they raise the tax is acceptable. But the government implement vice varsa. I hope this move is to satisfy some one in the DMK member and not for the public .

What is the use in simply expanding the area of Chennai? The city lacks basic infrastructural facilities viz. good roads, lighting, drainage & sewerage system, drinking water etc. It will only the corrupt politicians. Bangalore and Hyderabad were once much behind Chennai, but they have far ahead of Chennai and are nice, clean and beautiful cities. You cant expect all these from Dravida Model Rule.
I don't understand why the government wants to invade neighboring villages to expand Chennai. I will just cause rapid encroachment and make the city way too overcrowded. Already the existing transport infrastructure is insufficient to handle the traffic. Rather you can develop the infrastructure in towns in the vicinity of Chennai like Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, and Tindivanam, and link them. We need some green fields and trees to sustain the ecosystem.
