Regarding parts, service, availability of spares in India ...etc
Alternator : 12,500
Timing belt change : 14,500
suspension overhaul : 45000
Turbo sound check/repair : 8500
Battery : 9500
brake pads : 7000
cosmetic updates : 5000
Full service : 15000
clutch change : 12500
Throttle sensor/sensor change : 7000
Total cost in one year approximately 1.5 lakhs, then some ECU /intake manifold issue cropped up, TAMO was unable to solve, so sold it in cars24. Backstory, Bought a 6 year old STORME in 2020 for 3.5 lakh, sold in 2021 for good. This car can be owned by folks who have a lot of time and patience :) :) :)

Southy here,dont understand hindi. But I guess you're talking extrobitant expense on safari. I hear you, but i guess you shouldn't be buying that. Reason, Safari is the cheapest LC experience you could afford in this country & TASS has no plan let you roll on cheap. So this is only for people who can fix and have decent automotive knowledge.i bought bs3 safari in 2009, still driving. My expense per 10K KM is 3K INR. I change my oil at shell for free of cost, i buy oil folter for 250rs, period. Fuel folter 2800 once in 30K KM. No expense on coolant per 5 year as i use 1:4 with Castrol Radicool. I spend 30rs on distilled water per year. Rear I use conti bought for 5K, from Bridgestone 7K. These tyres go up to 80KM. I dont rotate but only aiign once in life time. Gear box oil run 40K KM, Diff 50K KM. To be honest these is one of the cheapest SUV to live with, if you know how to maintain an automobile. Parts from 99rpm then boodmo as wel over the counter are pretty cheap.

I believe safari ki maintenance zyada hogi and uski spares ke availability bhi problem hai. XUV500 mein dikkatein Kam aati hai.

I have tata safari strome 2014 model, I am sorry tell that I have driven more than 1,70,000kmt single had
Till today I am regurally getting it serviced for 15000km as per company standards, other than this I have not spent more than 10,000rs in Tata service station
People told me and everyone in my family made fun of me that I am buying white elephant!
Now in 9 year most of them bought Tata cars and happy with it
I don't have any issues? May be for this Bro the old owner would have not done proper maintenance
