I've been busking with mine four times a week since July of 2023 and I have to say I LOVE IT! I play my Stratocaster into a Zoom G1 Four, then a Boss Delay and into the Coolmusic BP40D and the reason why I'm commenting is because of THE TONE! I get around four hours wailing at top volume. I love it so much, I'm thinking of getting at least one more to run two at once! I'm also interested in the bigger BP60 D. I think that one might even keep up with a drummer. There are some shorts on my channel where you can hear it with electric guitar, if anyone is interested. Peace!

Do you run from the Zoom into the guitar 1 input on back of the amp? Thank you.

      @@jaxchiro Yep! I
just got the bigger BP60D and I absolutely love it! I have to test it, but I think the BP40D has sweeter reverb. There are some clips on my channel - mostly busking shorts.
BTW, I believe they are both on sale for a few more hours...

@@jaxchiro I think you'll be happy! I had to get a replacement charger after about a year, but the battery life is still great. I'll probaby get a back up charger for the BP60 to avoid any potential down time. Let me know how it works out for you! 🎸

Happy to put it on your radar!
They have similar models which feature more power and similar features, but this one just hit a really nice sweet spot for us.

80 Watts is not "coffee shop size" LOL. People always exaggerate just how many watts they need for performance or for an EDM party. 80 watts at full power in a coffee shop will be rather uncomfortable. Now, I don't know how this particular amp actually performs, as I own 2 of the BP80 model (100 watts), however, 2 BP80s and a 10-12' subwoofer are rated for 1800 square feet, an outdoor party of 200+ people or 2+ volleyball courts sized hall (!) Don't let the small size of these amps fool you, - they pack a serious punch. 2 of the BP80s ought to be enough to light up an average High School auditorium and the 40Ds shouldn't be that far behind. The only reason you need to add a subwoofer if you're planning a large party outdoors is because outside - bass tends to dissipate a lot, especially since it has no structural medium like a wooden floor to travel through. But these amps are pretty universal, and can put out pretty good bass if you want them for applications other than acoustic or electric guitars. Now if you're talking busking, - both BP40D and BP80 would probably be a bit of an overkill, although you can always just turn the volume down a lot.
If you're doing busking, even on a busy downtown street you hardly need more than 15-40 Watts of power. For an average size coffee shop you won't need more than 40-60 watts. A few years back we did a gig at a venue that was your average coffee shop or small sports pub size, and we had to play our 2 100 watt speakers at less than 1/3 of the full volume for the comfort of the audience. And if you're doing an Ambient show, - you need even less wattage, One thing though that really sucks about Coolmusic that no one mentions is the sheer WEIGHT of these amps, owing to their batteries being lead acid rather than Lithium Ion. Which is why they don't even mention the type of battery these things have on their Amazon page (pretty scammy attitude BTW). Sure, this sucks, but it's not all that difficult to replace their batteries with Li-Ion battery packs, in fact, for the BP40D - you could use the 18V 3Ah battery packs for power drills. BP80s will require 24 volts, however, - they will run off 20 volt 2-3Ah packs fine, just keep the volume at about 80% in order not to overheat the battery pack.
