This is actually really inspiring. I remember in 2011 my game got to the 2nd page and i was over the moon (There were no game passes or anything and I used the tix I got to either advertise or for badges). I quit roblox back because a fair few people used to complain that my game used too many free models, maybe if I'd stayed at around I'd not be so in debt lol.

Exactly... I'm a dev myself (Head Scripter for Drift Legends and Co Owner / Scripter for another upcoming racing game), and it takes hundreds of hours to make something of quality. We make cars in programs like Blender, just like someone working on any other engine would do. Lol most of the comments seem to think that we just throw together a bunch of free models from the library to make a game.

@@laffy9425 As someone who has a good memory and who's learning scripting I'd say scripting is harder when it comes to remembering stuff. Messing up one letter or symbol can make an error and break the entire script, so if you look at it when Roblox updates their coding server, the developers have to go back to fix it. Though making games and McDonalds are very different things so you can't really put any above or below. As Nyxie said, they worked hard for it and if they get paid the amount the deserve, it's alright.

Adopt me has a team of 25, and their lowest pay is 40k a year. So just from employees its (assuming all get 40k a year) its already 1 million USD a year for salary. But its prob way more because they don't all get 40k, some get more. I believe they are racking in way more than 2M usd a year. Also, it is very efficient having a team because now there are sections with people in charge of those sections, eg: Finance Team, Marketing Team, Engineering Team, Social-Media and Creative Team, having these little teams allows adopt me to get quality updates and engage more with players.

Echorain, some people don’t have a great computer. On an HP Stream 14, every somewhat famous game runs under 30 fps.
I’m not running on a good device myself. It’s a laptop, but it can run generally 30-60 FPS on average.

Adopt me has a team of 25, and their lowest pay is 40k a year. So just from employees its (assuming all get 40k a year) its already 1 million USD a year for salary. But its prob way more because they don't all get 40k, some get more. I believe they are racking in way more than 2M usd a year. Also, it is very efficient having a team because now there are sections with people in charge of those sections, eg: Finance Team, Marketing Team, Engineering Team, Social-Media and Creative Team, having these little teams allows adopt me to get quality updates and engage more with players.

My brother’s a semi-famous roblox dev and makes about 30-40k/ month, when he makes games. The best part is that you can take breaks because of you make a good game, you still get income from that game while you’re not working

As a smaller dev I like to say there is kind of a "line" or "barrier".
