- There is nothing cuter then a Bernese Mountain Dog puppy... wait... yes there is... WATCHING THEM PLAY IN THE SNOW!!! This is definitely the last snow of winter/spring, just in time for the puppies to get a taste of what it feels like to be a real mountain dog! I can't believe they are 8 weeks old, but it's time for their first round of shots and microchipping! If you have any questions about anything talked about in this episode, don't hesitate to ask in the comments!

I have been watching your Chanel since the puppies were born. I found it as I was researching the Bernese breed and searching for a breeder across the country, putting our names down and registering our names for a pup with little hope. During the journey of watching these guys grow, my Mum passed away after a long illness. Two days after she died, we received confirmation that we were selected for a Berner pup, a BOY! The day after we buried mum we were on the 13 hr round trip to pick him up. Dad was with us, he nursed him all the way home. I know mum made it happen. We are so blessed and looking forward to this new journey.
Seeing them in the snow, how much you care for them, and educate people about the breed absolutely warms my heart. so wholesome. greetings from switzerland. 😄

We have been searching the Bernese breed as we have had Labradors, one thing that came up was that they only live 6-8 years, half of them die of cancer??? Is this true in your opinion/ experience??!

I saw a Bernese Mountain Dog at the park - I live in Australia - And my friend had a Border Collie. Usually the Border Collie looks big. But boy, the Bernese Mountain Dog was big and beautiful! My mum and I couldn't stop staring at it. It was so agile, yet so playful!

Since we lost our Bernerbaer in January 2021 with only 4 years on age we found so much consolation in your videos. We are looking forward to get a new one but finding a good breeder is so hard. Poor you are in the US and not in Germany 😫

Sidewalks in town are really bad for pups too. Our grand puppy got seriously ill from a bug on a town sidewalk. Pups should really live a small life till they're a month at new home
yes, people get so excited an take their young puppy everywhere! They need to rest and be home safely, we even clean are shoes off every time we leave because we can bring it home!
They are sooo cute love the montages with them in the snow this would be the ideal place in the quarantine xxx

What do you feed your pups after they’re done nursing? I have an 8 week old Bernese puppy that isn’t taking well to his new puppy food.
They are on Orijen Regional Red with grilled chicken breast mixed in and a pinch of shredded mozzarella mixed in! They love it! Orijen is the best quality dog food out there, its pricey but worth every cent.

Me and my family are planning on getting a Bernese! We used to have a Bernese and golden retriever mix, but he died recently. Hands down, best dogs ever!

I agree with his advice on not taking puppies outside...I made this mistake because I was a first time owner. I took my puppy out after his second round of shorts and he fell sick. Fortunately he recovered. But it was a lesson for life...

We have a 10 month old Berner and completely obsessed with him but do you guys have any recommendations for Berners in the summer months with hotter temperatures? I know your not supposed to shave but I would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!
Hi! Thanks so much for watching! Do not shave them! I would recommend investing in a good AC. We also recommend a kiddy pool in for them to cool off in. They do not do well in heat, so do not leave them outside if its too hot! Unfortunately they struggle in temps over 70. Make sure you also have a bucket of cold water for them! Other then that AC and inside is the best option!
My hundred pound-hound Berner, Quincy-girl......was vaccinated and micro chipped.....before I took her to the dog park where I enjoyed the park as much as she did.....or more, watching her socialize with the others there.....the pleasure was all mine.....I used a doggy non skid ramp on the back of my Blazer to allow her safety in getting down and then up....the “up” came with a full bowl of fresh cool water which she drained and a couple of chewy bones as her treat....then she curled up on my army combat coat....and traded the grass and trees for a nice quiet nap....she will always be my “Quincy-girl”.....!
