    Coming from someone who lives where baseball isn't even really a thing this was a really really good video. Is simple and concise. Hopefully you post more like this

    One of the wild things to me is that AVG was at one point considered a new fangled scary stat because it was a rate stat instead of a counting stat. I'm 30 years old, and have never lived in an age when AVG wasn't the casual baseball fan's favorite stat, but in the 60s/70s, for many fans, they'd hear about AVG and say "Ugh, why?"

    Using the ordinal scale of the OPS statistic, a number of .900 and above is considered excellent.
