Random Combat Sequences from my first playthrough as the Interceptor.
𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 is an online multiplayer action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. The game was released worldwide on February 22, 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Set on a fictional planet named Coda, players assume the role of Freelancers, heroic adventurers who wear powerful exosuits to defend humanity from the threats beyond their cities' walls. The game's title refers to the Anthem of Creation, a powerful and mysterious force responsible for most of the extraordinary technology, phenomena, and threats in the world. In the main narrative, the player's Freelancer is tasked with stopping the villainous Monitor from seizing control of the 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦. 𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦 features four unique Javelin variants which the player unlocks while progressing through the game. Each Javelin features unique attributes and abilities that encourage different styles of play and evoke classic role-playing game character archetypes. The Ranger is the Javelin players begin the game with, and is considered the "all-around master of combat". The Colossus is the largest and slowest, but the most resilient and features a large shield to absorb attacks or hit enemies. The Interceptor is the fastest and most agile, specializing in quick close-quarters melee strikes. The Storm is the least armored, but can remain airborne the longest, allowing it to attack from a distance with blasts of elemental energies.

Just started to play the game as for now! Awesome game! Great graphics, good combat, lore,etc. Nothing beat flying into the vast world of Anthem 😊

@@Vub. I think when they officially abandoned the game was the biggest “flaw” No one wants to dedicate time to a dead online game. Had this game got the no man sky dedication it had the potential to be a great game
@@Vub. a crazy amount of backlash from people who were playing the game anyway. When ideas were announced to address some end game complaints a majority fan base literally said “don’t bother”…..and they didn’t

I was hyped for this game when it came out, mainly due to the ability to fly in a open world but i never got the game. Anthems "game as a service" gimmick hindered it's possibility to become a good game overall.
this gameplay proves that EA along with Ubisoft is one of those publishers that you buy looooonnnggg after support stops, the damage from their tactics smother a great game in the making but paying full price during its release only justifies their actions

this game had so much potential! I had so much fun playing it but the endgame content was lacking, i wish they would of done more with it and I'd still be playing it.
My favorite combat game... Never has a video game given me such a feeling. I felt like I was one with my character and my keyboard/controls. It was amazing!
I remember how great this game felt. The combat and the suits felt fairly well polished. The environments could have used some work to really capitalize on the movement, but nothing could save a game from a lack of stuff to do
this game had the most insane graphics during its time. however i couldnt get past an area due to a huge bug or glitch but damn game was amazing too
What I wouldnt give to play the fabled "Anthem 2.0"
It is a real and absolute shame that the developers got away with lying to us all about the gameplay. Showing us an incredible "in game" demo walking through the base of operations, which was filled with NPCs walking around, talking, working etc. It felt so immersive. Then the actual game came out and all of that was flat out false and bullshit. Not to mentioned their overpriced bullshit on the store.

Anthem should really be an example to the gaming community. Look at what could have been. Instead, we used consistent negativity to kill this game's chances. To be fair, im not saying it shouldn't have released in a better state. I'm just saying we should have gave them the opportunity to fix it.
True. Even after I played the game when the community left, the flying and combat were incredible.
Lets hope that Anthem Next will become a real thing

This game was great, but due to the lack of content from the developer, multiple bugs that hurt the gameplay, and the developer quitting the game it was left in a bad shape. This game could have been a long play game but nooooooo they ruined it instead.
Dont blame the developer, Who has killed the game was EA! they have cancelled the remake too.
This game has the potential to give us Armored Core meets Destiny, I wish someone would give it that treatment.

the reason why I quit when it first release is too many glitch, cant pass the boss stage cuz the game wont load , crash, forever loading, etc. // I'm hop back, hoping it all fine now so I can at least enjoy it.

Overall, Anthem mainly seems like a cross between Gunvalkyrie (original XBOX exclusive from 2001) and Warframe.
The movement and combat look better than Warframe.

me combat, flight, and power in an online game like Fortnite and PUBG, it would outperform PUBG, Fortnite, and other games because it is a new idea.
I totally blame CEO of EA, Andrew Wilson for this mess. Sure, Bioware faced challenges but still they managed to make a good concept, if only executives cared about their products instead of just raking in profits.

I bought it just as a joke but i just cant find anything wrong with it (except from the fact that there are almost no players)
Micro transactions…not much end game content, getting specific loot, especially legendaries were impossible to get. It was all just random loot. It was a fun game. I really like this style of game, but eventually as people left so did I. I miss my ranger.
It has an interesting world. My favorite combat of all shooters, cool classes, cool skills, beautiful world.
But, the game had almost no support, events weren't meaningful or rewarding, the content roadmap was killed. Microtransactions weren't that bad, to be honest, as long as you had friends playing you gained a good amount of coins to buy cash stuff.
They switched the full-of-promises roadmap for the seasonal system, it didn't work, then announced and killed Anthem Next right after.
The game needed a whole team, no, a whole company dedicated to it, and it would have lived for decades, crossing console generations.
I never had any problems getting legendary loot for this game.Nor did I ever feel the need to spend any real money and yet still I loved every moment of playing the game.
