I am getting baptized into the tewehedo orthodox church at lideta orthodox church in addis ababa this Saturday please pray for my progress going forward. I feel exactly how you so
In The Name of The Father, His Son , and The Holly Spirit, One God, Amen. Well-come to our historic and apostolic church. The church is the home of truth, faith and the witness of the first Christian Church Tradition. Her Truth, Faith, Theology and Christian Tradition has kept from modernity and post-modernity and globalization re-crafting. Let's Our lord Jesus Christ help you to swim in his love and the truth our historic and apostolic. May peace upon you and your beloved family from Jesus Christ, a Holy Savor, Amen!
I completed my 10 year journey into the Coptic Orthodox Church on December 19th 2019. Protestant to Roman Catholic to Eastern Orthodox the The Orthodox Church. God bless you and be with you forever my brother.
Former Rastafari that was born & raised Protestant in the American South here with a question: What does one need to do, or what is the process for becoming an Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Christian? I have long felt a conviction to both become as Orthodox & as Torah-Observant a Christian as I can manage, particularly inviting the sacraments & liturgy back into my spiritual life that was once so vibrant & central to the life of my ancestors.
Yes I learned of the church through Rastafari. My process was to find a church that had English speaking clergy who taught me every week for about 9 months while we went to church and eventually they decided I knew enough that I could be baptized along with my children. I STRONGLY encourage you to seek a church. In the south there are also many Coptic churches and are a great resource.
@አደዳይ ኣባይ how? Would you just baptise in tewahedo, i dont have deep knowledge on the church going to be honest. I was baptised catholic. But grew up with my Rastafarian cousin who brought me up with his faith. Im curious about the church.. Im doing research
@@legalizemiami9282 Selam, I am the person speaking in the video. I went to EOTC for Sunday services and was blessed to find a deacon who was willing to teach me, We had classes every week for 7-8 months. At that point it was determined that I knew enough about the faith to be baptized so I was alongside my 2 sons. Please go. I am in Florida now. Lots of Ethiopian orthodox churches here. Egziabeher yimasgan.
@@michaelmcgraw1536 I don't understand. Why you can't ever be Kes or deacon?? How about your children? Can they be Kes or deacon? In London, I saw a deacon was a British guy.

Between Oriental and eastern orthodox church is not much different.
Unfortunately we've been separated for 1500 years
I thought only copts can be coptic orthodox.
God bless you and your family. As an Ethiopian, I am truly happy God brought you to the true apolistic church.

@@michaelmcgraw1536 Congrats! Your children are beautiful as well. Is your wife Habesha? How did you learn Amharic?

The children are boys.
Its all good but this guy cant be a kes or as one of the tribe.
What do you mean? Are you trying to discriminate against him?
Selam. You are correct. I could never be a kes or even deacon. The only tribe I am worried about being one of is those chosen to go to heaven.

@@tmc1373yes, my kids can be. They have to be virgins. It is not a matter of race.
