This Superman looks so great. I've scaled back on McFarlane DC but this and Bane and Azbats won me back. More so as a huge MOTU fan I'm so jelly you have Matty Collector Grayskull and Super 7 Snake Mountain. With no figures?.How? Lol. Good review.
I bought them for dioramas to use in my overall action figure world. Castle Greyskull is usually for Ras' al Ghul and Gargoyles. Snake Mountain, for Apolcalypse for Darkseid.
🤔I think KAL-EL was taken off world, but don't know how he got there? Mongul was the one that let em here! He represnted pit fighters and Gladiator combat style in the Arena, but no solar powers, he is kryptonian under the rays of the red sun, even Darkseid knows he'll (KAL-EL) never make it back to earth.😟
Perfect review. I think his head sculpt on the Ultraman body would be a huge improvement for Ultraman since his head sculpt is very blah. Also paint the eyes red to get rid of the way overused side-eye.
Just picked this one up and I like him a whole bunch. Will pair up nicely with my gladiator Batman. I personally like the way out variations of classic heros. Gives the imagination that extra nudge.
Reading the description, he doesn’t have his powers, so he could tan. On earth I think he could tan too, since he is alive, has to eat, sleep, etc. Thor ragnorok came to mind too! I wonder if this story or the Thor one came out first. Someone stole the others idea, lol
Yes, take on of the page punchers Superman, pant him a lighter blue on his suit, then headswap this head onto another page puncher Superman body, and you have an amazing vs pair!
I think the skin color is not a tan, it just goes with the overall look of those comics (worlds at war) with a red sun lighting. I like this figure, I have Batman and Wonder Woman from Death Metal and never liked de Superman version, especially the head. I think this could go well to complete the metal trinity.
It looks so much better than the head sculpt that figure comes with. Makes him look like evil Superman from Superman 3. I want to get both now just for this combo.

I think he looks pretty cool and interesting. But I also wanted to give you a heads up on Schleich ® Eldrador ® Creatures they have a new couple of figures out, the one you may be interested in is the Jungle Emperor he would fit in with your Poison Ivy and Swamp Thing stuff. The one I am really interested in is the new Stone Dragon. Schleich Eldrador Monster Toys for Boys and Girls, Jungle Emperor That is what it is under on Amazon They also have a one called Stone Monster from Schleich that may interests you too, but the Jungle Emperor made me think of you my friend.
Not a critique on the figure itself, but the design, that cape is completely stupid for an arena fighter. The logo is still there, in the shield, and on the belt, both of which make more sense (barely, but I'll allow it) but the cape is not armor, and it doesn't make sense why he's be allowed to keep it as a memento or whatnot. It would just get in the way when fighting. Also, the spit curl? He kept the spit curl is a gladiator arena? Reaaallllyyyyy??? Moreover, if he's depowered enough to tan, and he's a slave, why are his teeth so white? This critique IS directed at the figure, dental plaque is real! That aid, I will find the figure intriguing enough 8 let well snag him up to customize. The shackles look nice, aside from the branding, the details look very workable to make a savage gladiator type character and the cape looks like it will be easy to remove.
Oh I am not a fan of what they’ve done it him, but even more so Tim Drake who has had a girlfriend for nearly 30 years. They are changing characters and forcing certain things that would be better with newer characters They are trying to hard to cater to everyone and end up displeasing more people than pleasing Stop changing my beloved characters for your agendas Please

Superman had a very similar storyline where he was a gladiator in war world in the late 80s. It was even adapted in a to a JL episode.

I bought that Superman and swapped his legs with DC Rebirth Superman’s legs. I also colored his eyes red. I didn’t like those side-eyes.
You just pop the legs off and pop the other ones one after fitting them under Superman’s underwear.
