I'm very happy to have found you trough the Gardeners World episode. I have the care of my late grandfathers Pelargonium that he bought 22 years ago in 2001. It's about three foot tall and used to be bigger when he still had (somebody had tossed it in the dumpster in his absence and I luckily found it there on time). I have been wanting to learn about taking better care his and my pelargonium for a while, now I finally can.
If you pop some cuttings in water you can have a few backups! Insurance against anything that might happen to the original. Because it's a cutting it's still the original plant unlike plants grown from seed.
Thank you for sharing your experience and know-how. Really appreciate your video. May I know which insecticide do you use to soak the plant before it is potted please? Best regards, Helen
Why do you repotting now when they going in to hibernation? If you get any blooms do you just take them off? My plants looks the best right now so feel reluctant to cut them down so much. Love your channel, thank you so much for all the information 🙌😃💕
This really is for the exhibition plants. They need to be cut now in order to get a good shape and growth on them prior to tip stopping them next February for the show season next June. The repotting now, as I said in the video, ensures the roots fill the pot before hibernation and allows the roots to really fill the pot by the time next spring comes around when all I will want them to do is think about flowering. All blooms are taken off all of my plants in the winter as they will rot off anyway. All of my other plants will be cut back hard in around a months time just to squeeze them all back into the greenhouse for the winter.
You did a fine job of promoting pelargoniums on Gardener's World
I love these videos. It is hard to find geranium groups anywhere these days. Thanks and keep up the great work!

Do you have a video of repotting done in early spring?
I'm not exactly sure what you mean, I don't re-pot exhibition plants in the spring. Here is a link to the re-pot I did of this plant in July 2022.
